Omg so cuutee I wonder if it's possible to make a literally working and folding miniature umbrella too. Figured out that would be totally amazing to watch and see
I'm so glad that someone still cares about the ones that don't know ANYTHING about making a CAD, or that are not 3D literate, may have disabilities, needs step by step instructions or even isn't in a position to become a Patreon member. Thank you for giving back and not forgetting where you once were and meeting us where we are. I'm definitely going to tryout this one.
Another way is to Tinkercad a dome shape with grooves and print. Then lay the wire in the grooves and solder. It acts as a perfect jig for the clear plastic too.
You are really making me want to dip my toes into 3D printing. :) So grateful for your well done videos and details. Your level of patience is immeasurable!
The umbrella looks lovely!! The umbrella u replicated from Lm is called "Falling Rain". I got this umbrella in LM months ago, but only used it once so far 😅
Pure genius! While I was watching, I was thinking about how I could make this witch-y looking. I have Halloween nail decals. I could add some of those to it. I was also thinking about how to make the handle thicker. How about a dip in wood glue, letting it dry thoroughly and then painting it. There are all kinds of possibilities with this base umbrella!
This is so cute- I love how you are always so thoughtful in rhe oroducts that you use to create things. I really love that you use gel polish/IV resin, because now I don't feel so bad about buying gel polishes 😂
LOVE this. Thanks. I wish I had this last year when I was trying to make an umbrella for my Bo Burnham Inside diorama! I ended up heating food packaging til it melted over an umbrella shaped party favour haha. It worked but it was a lot of trial and error. Love your stuff Cath!
I love the umbrella, it is just like a large real one. It seems fiddly, so I'm afraid that I may have a breakdown making it. haha But, I want to give it a try.😊❤ Tfs.
Looks great! I'll make one but I have dozens of projects I promised I'll make first. LOL 🤣 I'm going to have to stop watching RUclips. There are too many creative people like you (you are one of the best) making things, that I want to make also. 😢
We used to call these birdcage umbrellas. Most of mine had a decorative band near the bottom edge, about 3-4 inches wide. I remember mine being yellow, mostly, but they also came in black, red, blue, etc. You could easily add this detail with washi tape or electrical tape. About the same time as the birdcage umbrellas, I used to use a dip plastic to craft with. We would create wire forms, and dip them into the plastic to form a translucent skin across the wires. We usually made Christmas ornaments out of this. I am not sure if this would work to make the birdcage umbrellas, since the skin tended to be slightly concave when it dried/cured. But it might be worth trying? Would be a lot quicker if it worked! We got it in all sorts of jewel tones colors, and would carefully create “scenes” inside some of them, as if they were plastic eggshells. We used to do those, too, with similar materials of fluffy cotton and animals cut from cards. The plastic dipped ones looked like stained glass, and were lovely with the cotton snow and tiny scenes inside. Fun memories!

YESSS, finally a tutorial with no mention of 3d printing omg it's been ages. This video just feels like a classic, straight out of 2017!
Finally back down to earth, all that technical stuff is over my head. Love the video.
It looks so cute with beads of water on it 😍
Thank you! I felt like water drops were a must on this!
Finally something without 3D printing! This feels much more fun to me. Thank you.

She’s on a roll videos all the time now!👍
This was so good! When you were previewing it at the beginning, I actually wondered if it was a working frame, because it looked so realistic!
Wow! That's such a good work! And so cute too 😊
Wanna make this for my squirrelly pals 🐿️ lol
A beautiful umbrella for dolls ☂

Wow...I don't think that Barbie has an umbrella ☔☔☔. So very beautiful.
Another great craft, would be a good Chelsea dolls umbrella.
What a genius idea to use UV resin instead of solder!
Such an adorable umbrella! Really must give this a try.

Amazing! Thank you! Kathleen
This will be great for my Barbies

I love Bo! That diorama sounds so amazing and your technique sounds so interesting! I’m so glad it worked!

Amazing work as usual.
Oh gosh i used to have one of these. In the late 60's but it had yellow plastic flowers inside on the spokes.
Awesome! Loved it!
Fabulous!!❤

Por favor!! De nuevo sube tus maravilloso videos con subtitulos en español!!❤
Are you the same person who had the channel sugar charm shop because you sound like her?
All of your creations are gorgeous, but you know there is commercial paint, not everything needs nail varnish…
Thank you! I try to use products I already have on hand instead of buying new :)
@@TheSquaretoSpare you are great, apologies for the negativity!
