These buses are lovely! Their features are amazing!😮 This is a lovely video as well. Have you heard the Route 341 (Meridian Water - Waterloo) are getting these same buses!
New stagecoach spec buses dont have a maquette, its all grey and blue leather - would imagine this contrasts with what TFL/london wants. The moquettes can take a beating and covers up a lot of the mess that a leather seat will take so its to stagecoaches benefit to have the standard seat moquette.
Used to drive the 276 which is a single decker version of this. Very much a pleasure to drive - easy to handle, air con works well, passengers were loving the space and USB ports for charging phones. The only problem was the electric monitor blinds which seem to have pixel problems. im assuming thats why they've opted not to put them on these buses
276 is a goated bus, i was sad to see them replace the old diesel enviros, i always notices the pixel problems, they'd just stick a paper in the window saying "276", i miss the diesel buses, the way they rattle and make noise is just special to me
Great video mate! There are some manufacturing issues with Volvo which has lead to huge backlogs. Stagecoach still haven’t received the entire order for the 58. They should be allocated to the D7 and 277 but that’s been postponed cos of the delays with Volvo. Arriva haven’t received any for the 50 or 243 yet
We're replacing our entire fleet in Warrington with BZLs. The single decker variants are already in service, and they're lovely! Can't wait to see our DD ones later this year.
@@KevinPople Buses use to have them in the 2000s. Maybe they took them away because tfl thought it wasn’t meant to be used as a normal seat, maybe a seat for disabled people. Perhaps it’s clever of them to reintroduce it as regular, non-disabled passengers may have more awareness now to not use it as a seat?
I genuinely believe Stagecoach are trying to cheapen out with their new vehicles. They are the only company to have paper blinds on an Electroliner. Yet again, nice video, and I am still open to collaborating with you someday.
Yeah odd how Stagecoach have chosen their fleets, however all will make sense in a couple years, I like the leather seats but starting not to like the generic TFL ones as they are just all the same haha!
I think it’s quite Sad that they are going but it has to be done as it’s quite a short route so having it replaced with W14 makes more sense, I think yes it would make sense to record it and that may be one of my future videos as it would be good to look back on the route!
Thank you very much! I prefer the leather seats or the normal Stagecoach, the TfL generic is just becoming a little boring since they are on all the newer buses!
I think Stagecoach are removing their moquette because now their outside of London buses have leather seats I think and the seat livery probably doesn’t fit tfl specifications.
I wish this was the Stagecoach maquette. Even if its with the new logo, it should of had a maquette something related with the logo just like the one with the old logo.
1:48 Wow Funny you say that because yesterday I was waiting for 73 aka one of the arriva buses that come the most at Stoke Newington and the one time i wanted to take it it took 29 munites to show up
Yeah around the first month or so I would say, the new buses would 70% come quite a bit later than expected a the drivers need to get used to all the new features and actually know how to drive it, on my 276 video the driver was unable to start the BZL so we were stuck in Hackney for around 20 mins, so guess that’s what is happening!
@@GTransit OK, I guess they know exactly how many miles each vehicle is going run each day so can work it out. Great video btw,you went past my own road on that run.
TFL don’t make the buses 🚍 at all folks as the majority of the buses at the moment are built at Alexander Dennis Falkirk Scotland 🏴 & Plaxton at Scarborough North Yorkshire folks. The bodies are Enviro 400 MMC Double Deckers. I think the Single Deckers are also built at the same locations folks. 👍
I make absolutely no apologies for being a dinosaur 🦖 as I use to work for a well known bus 🚍 company & I don’t think we should be moving away from Diesel ⛽️ but that’s just my view mate. I do love the smell of Diesel ⛽️ I will confess. ⛽️⛽️👍👍

In my opinion , the Volvo BZL’s Front design doesn’t look that good . The interior and back design looks lovely. I Still hate how they have LED blinds (which is mostly in electrics) since they glitch out . Honestly it’s a pretty average electric bus as the interior looks are incredible! Idk why the door sounds satisfying and the folding seat reminds me of the Optare solo sr’s on NCT.
It is definitely a different look for London Buses, however I’m loving that they are bringing old features such as the folding seats, just wished the LED’s don’t glitch when recording however when I use x0.5 it doesn’t so it’s quite hit or miss :)
While I'm 60:40 on how the looks are from the front the passenger and driver experience are significantly better compared to other EVs on the market. Several stagecoach drivers up here make the comparison with an E200EV, saying the build quality is better, theyre generally faster, chassis doesnt flex too much, they can actually steer round a corner etc etc. Good benefit over the existing BYDs and other ones on the market.
Really cool bus model review, Godwin, you're progressing quickly :) I need to squeeze myself into one of your upcoming videos!
Thanks very much Riku! You do need to make an appearance!! 😂
Ahh the 58, the bane of my life for junior and secondary school 😫
:)
Broo, TFL engineers are goin' insane making new buses, that's so kind of them, they really care about passengers
they have to catch up to the rest of the world after being behind for like 10 years since forever
Precisely, so kind of them, hopefully they reach their target of all London buses being zero emission by 2030 Hybrid/Electric
TFL don’t make these buses it’s volvo - they made the electroliners and the BZL’s
TFL force companies to buy these
