Like William Mortensen: Mortensen's Glycin Variant Developer

William Mortensen was a Pictorialist way back in the 20th Century. He had his own technique of exposure and development, developing his film in his Glycin Variant. His prints would then receive a lot of post manipulation (which drove the Straight Photography purists, crazy!) I thought I'd try to work like him, including using his developer formula.
Apologies for the poor audio quality. My mic failed, and was forced to used the cameras onboard mic (which seems to pick up everything else really well, except me!)

I like all of Mortensen's work that I've seen. I am not very puritanical about "Truth" in photography though. The f64 people don't seem to have had a sense of humor about what Mortensen was up to.

I kind of like the Pyrocat image more, but I'm not familiar with his work or his developer.

You should read up on him, especially the war between him and Ansel Adams and Group f/64. Mortensen was a talented artist and his style went against Adams and straight photography.

I was able to pick up some Glycin from Argentix, which is based in Montreal.
