My dad was a mine forman at a coal mine in berry , Alabama. He took me and my little brother down the elevator or whatever it's called. They turned the lights off , so we could see how dark it is down there. He and his dad worked at Sayre, in Jefferson County, Berry , my grandpaw retired from Berry, he worked there like 20 years. Earl "June bug" Wright was my pawpaws name. Dad also worked at Jim Walter #3 , #5, and other underground coal mines. I became an electrician. It was probably 1975 when dad carried us down in Berry mine. Also, my great grandfather was a mine forman at Belltona mine up by warrior and corner Alabama. He was on my mother's side. That was around the great depression

Wonder what it’s like working in a lime stone mine. There’s one near where I moved and I am really thinking about applying

I worked in one in 2014, before that I was a coal miner here in West Virginia. Honestly I love the job, it was primitive at the time. I was a scaler/roofbolter and we would be in a man lift 10 hours a day doing one of those things, sometimes both. My boss and crew were good men and I think of them often cause my cousin worked there and got me the job. I left a couple months after to get my cdls and drive a truck and I actually hauled out of that mine a while after. Just apply and do what you can I guess. Like I said I think of being in that mine often. Sadly it closed down a few years ago. It was in Rowlesburg, WV. I honestly enjoyed those mines more than the coal mines to be honest. I’m glad to tell someone about my times in there cause no one really cares to hear it. Good luck friend

Like I said a lot of it is done with machines but I was working for a contractor so we did a lot by hand.

Longyi super fine powder grinding machines advantages:
    1. Powder from 48~4microns, fineness is adjustable
    2. Built-in high efficiency classifier, no more investment cost for classifying system.
    3. Smart PLC operation system, and integrated control system: 1 computer could operated max 6 machines, saving management cost.
    4. No particle air pollution, more environment-friendly.
    5. Compact structure to save factory space and lower foundation construction cost.

    For CaCO3 powder
The whole grinding system including grinding, classifying, powder collector, fan, PLC cabinet, feeding conveyor and others, system power is 370Kw, the real working power is 296KW
    1. D97=23um (600mesh) Output: 10tons/h Energy Consumption: 29.6Kw/Ton
    2. D97=16um(800mesh) Output: 8tons/h Energy Consumption: 37Kw/Ton
    3. D97=10um (1250mesh) Output: 4.5tons/h Energy Consumption: 65.7Kw/Ton
    4. D97=6.5um(2000mesh) Output: 2.5tons/h Energy Consumption: 118.4Kw/Ton

It is suitable for processing nonmetallic minerals such as calcium carbonate, calcite, Kaolin, clay, barite, talc, gypsum, limestone, calcium oxide, bentonite, dolomite etc.
