I don't think he is gay nor controlling. He is a man that desired order within his home, but he shouldn't went out looking for a girl to handle a woman responsibility. She was his trophy wife and that was obvious because she was dumber than a box of rocks.What was she teaching the son at home? For him to sound so intelligent with his plea for his girl (wife) to start being home more (really). She is a kid herself, but I personally do not feel sorry for these men because they see all the signs and ignore them to have that trophy but fail to realize that if she wasn't business savvy, knew how to run her household even though they are millionaires then she is more of a liability, and she saw this as a come up. No Prenup, No Children, No Career,..
Porsha, got caught up in the Atlanta hype. You had a husband who took care of home. I like how he handled the situation. Reminds me of the men in my family who are secure in themselves. Didn't feed into the hype of what other people are saying.
Right. She wanted to be a housewife and left that for independence and fame. Fast forward 9 years later and she is a fourth wife to a rich guy that takes care of her and a baby mama to another dude. So funny how things turn out.
i actually believe Kordell's story
Kordell I wouldn't say is controlling he just has an "old fashion idea" of gender roles. He can't be controlling if he did the show. I know controlling men and the option to do a national popular tv show wouldn't even be on the table for discussion
I am probably in minority with my opinion about the situation by believing Kordell. I think Kordell and Porsha had different ideas about her role as a wife and a mother. Porsha probably agreed with him until she got that ring which happens a lot of in order to snag to someone. Then after marrying Kordell, she decided to change the rules, then figured he was just stuck with her. This brutha said no way, and dissolve the marriage. It seems she may have been attracted to his status and wealth, and he just wanted stay at home mom for his son.

NickieF7 I am not saying she was bad wife or step-mom. She just wasn't the woman for him. We can have different ideas about marriage and parenting, it doesn't make either party right or wrong. It just means that we need to find someone who shares the same ideas about matrimony and child rearing. These two apparently wanted something different from their union. I also didn't hear too much about love..just finding a mom for his kid. Without love and just agendas from either party, their marriage was build on a shaky foundation

Porsha became something different when she got a divorce. Twerking/showing body parts/talking/laughing loudly. So that's was probably what the arguments was about, Keeping that side of Porsha hidden🤔
I have said this from beginning, Porsha knew the kind of marriage she was entering into. Kordell doesn't come off as a man that holds his tongue. Two ppl have the right to enter into a consensual relationship that they chose. Kordell says I make the money and I want a wife at home. Porsha knew that and she agreed and was living a good life. He lived up to his side of the deal and she wanted to change the game. He has the right to have the life and the marriage he wants.
I'm glad Kordell finally opened up about his side of the story. Bravo & Porsha makes him seem like a monster. And I now I don't think he's gay
This man is man. Women say they want a Real Man and that's what some women can't stand. I dont believe Porsha told him go ahead and file for divorce. He could no longer control the situation and things got out of hand so he divorced her. Kordell need to keep off this topic and go on with his life. He only adding fuel to the fire.
coming from a woman who said "Kordell would not be ok with me going to a strip club", "he let me come on this trip" etc... this doesn't seem like the seem woman we see.
I don't believe that Porsha would say no to her step son having the party at their house. I think she may have been uncomfortable about the baby mama and all of her family being in her home. Kordell seems like he isn't telling the whole truth. On the show, Porsha is always considering how her man feels... so I don't believe she came in the house saying " I'm grown, I'll do what I want". I believe there's three sides of a story Kordell's, Porsha's and the God honest truth and in this case I got a strange feeling that both of them are lying. Kordell wanted a pretty little housewife to stay at home and be with the kid and that was not a problem for her because that's what her friends do and she agreed to do it, however when she saw that Nene and the others were actually working for their checks and being independent she started to see that there was more to life than just being a housewife, Kordell got pissed and divorced her look at how he put the announcement on Twitter. Another question, where is the baby mama? Also with the gay rumors we have to understand that this came out before Twitter, Facebook, and other social media networks came out. Oh and if he wasn't gay he would have said no I am not gay, not "are you gay?" But that's just my opinion.

Great interview. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion about Kordell and Porsha. Regardless if people think he’s gay and regardless if people think Porsha is a gold digger/dumb whatever. As a PARENT you have to stand up for your children. I total GET why that incident was the straw that broke the camel’s back….telling your husband’s child that he could not have his birthday party in HIS HOUSE that KORDELL pays for is NOT your place. Even if Porsha paid for that house, it’s NOT right to tell your husband’s son that he cannot have his birthday party in the house. I believe Porsha probably treated his son unkind many times and Kordell probably just put up with it and now ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. As far as people thinking he’s controlling…well when you look at his wife he probably had to act like that. She’s young, inexperienced, and as most people call her DUMB, Hell….she acts like a child so he (Kordell) was the grown adult and it made him LOOK like he was controlling but he was not. I would love to have a strong black man that can take control like him and when that strong black man is with the RIGHT woman maybe he would not have to act/appear to be controlling. As for Porsha, I wish her much success as well. Both of the people deserve happiness and it’s sad that they could not accomplish this with each other. Stop the madness and move on.
Both Porsha and Kordell seem to be lying to make themselves look good. Kordell does seem a bit controlling, but Porsha seems EXTREMELY childish. Both of them should move on.
Kordell does has the gift of gabb but hes not fooling me He definetly seems controlling behind closed doors & that he wanted 2 portray the happily married couple with the wife & son ironically right after the Gay rumors became apparent but ive done my research on him and he often dressed up as a woman his manurisms were strickingly identical to a gay man actions. I dnt no Mr.Kordell and as far as his his story about his son I believe there was more 2 the story also He controlled that house as well as her so im not buying it that Porsha had that much controll 2 make that final decision about his bday party 4 gods sake he would lock her out the house on numerous occasions. Here is the deal. Porsha lays claim to this great family legacy and in turn family money. Clearly none of that exists. Porsha is also one of those chicks who believes she should have what she wants given to her. Here is the real. Porsha needs to earn her position. Kordell is a wealthy man and the house was bought with his money. If Porsha wanted a say in the house she should have put down some of that Hosea money when it was purchased. Trust that long gone are the days when men are automatically putting their wives on the deed when the money for the house is coming out of one pocket. Porsha should have made herself more valuable by either getting a good education and/or establishing her career. That way she does not have to rely on Kordell or anyone else to provide for her. Also, Porsha has the platform of the TV show to tell her version of things. Poor. innocent. Porsha. Lets be real, when a marriage erupts both parties play a role and Porsha is not innocent no matter how well she plays the role on TV. This is the 21st century and I advise all of you women who believe you will find a husband to take care of you, as long as you ass is phat, should rethink their lives. Why do you think black women are the least likely to be married? Sad.

Big up to Kordell. It is so sad these days that black women will call a man gay based on unsubstantiated rumors and ruin his reputation. These women claim to have researched this or that when all they have done is read blogs or gossip sites and their foolishness is reported as fact. I wish they would educate themselves and stop relying on garbage journalism as the basis of their lives. Glad to see Kordell stand up and say no.
Here the problem with Kordell's story. Just how often does the son's mother and Porsha communicate while Porsha was married to Kordell?? This goes with being comfortable with one another. If they don't talk a lot, anything that's related to the son, I can see the point of being uncomfortable. I think there is more to the story.
But are you saying that Porsha is not going to be at the birthday party if they hosted it at another venue? Either way they are going to be in the same place at the same time regardless of the venue. It is the Son's birthday and he wanted to have his party at the house. Regardless of any problems she had with the baby mother, the least she could do for the boy is to put it aside and make the day special for him.

Or maybe its Porsha not wanting to have a birthday party at the house because she is she just don't want to do it at all. blackrock316 Tbh my opinion on the whole thing is that, Kordell married the old Porsha, who was i guess respectful and thought very highly of him and when she joined the show it changed her behaviour and he didn't like it. I am sure it must have been a big discussion on whether to join the show and for Kordell to agree because of Porsha's wishes, i think she should have tried extra hard to make sure she kept on top of her duties like taking care of the son. I think Porsha is trying too hard to be relevant, she should just be herself and everything will fall in place.

I do agree as long as she had all those fancy clothes and that fancy home to live in she didn't care about his lifestyle( if true). Know the law Cameron, calling someone gay is not slander. It is not defamation of character. Defamation is not simply saying something that is not true. It's lowering someone's character in the minds of right thinking members of society. You can't on the one hand, say nothing is wrong with being gay, and then claim that someone's character is defamed by saying that person is gay. Too many double standards in this here society of ours. How do we castigate people for being homophobic, but at the same time, promote calling someone gay as being an insult?

Again I say, research the "legal" meaning of the defamation, which is seeking to discredit someone in the mind of right thinking members of society. Any attorney worth his or her law degree will argue that no "right thinking" member of society would consider someone's reputation ruined if that person is thought to be gay. It would basically be the same as saying it's defamatory to call a white person black. What would have held weight in a case years ago, won't do so today, since the law itself has changed on such matters (i.e. What it means to be black, what it means to be gay etc.)
Perhaps we can have someone who has studied defamation law weigh in. I have, but my training is based on UK law, so perhaps someone who has studied in the US can comment.
Furthermore, the burden of proof in defamation cases rests with the plaintiff (the person who says they were defamed) which means he would have to prove he suffered as a result of being called gay. Such suffering may include loss of income. He'd have to prove that an organization or individual refused to hire him because he's (allegedly) gay. Which would then of course lead to the organization being sued for discrimination, as opposed to the individual being sued for defamation.

No matter how much hate or whatever you have for your husband/wife remember the fact that he/she still is/was your husband, you still need to have some level of respect for each other.
Slander is when you say something that you KNOW is untrue, but if that's her perception or what she believes, it's not slander even if it turns out to be false.

Porsha has not slandered his name in any way. That was just plain ignorance. I do not think he is 100% straight. You can ask any gay black man that watches that show. I used to think he was gay, but after listening to this I really do not see that anymore. I think Porsha was just the wrong woman for what he wanted and he moved on. I do also think Porsha was TOTALLY wrong for not allowing the birthday party. She was being very petty with that one.

Now, this is why no one should have camera crew in their house and a confession box talking about your private life. Now everybody has an opinion on their marriage. Its a he said, she said debacle. Who is telling the truth?? Not because Porscha goes in a confessional box and talks about how much she cares for her husband doesnt make it so. Honestly all he had to say was "no I am not gay." That little extra about being 100% man means what? I am a gay man and am 100% man. More than some "straight" men. People need to be careful with that.

Everyone is coming down on Porsha because she insinuated that Kordell may be gay. If you actually watched the show, she never said he was, she just put it out there that maybe he could be, if he didn't want her. Also, you have to understand that when allllllllllllllll this was being filmed for Bravo it was after Kordell handled his divorce via Twitter, what woman or person, would not feel salty? Embarrased? Hurt? And what do they do? Most of them start talking reckless out of those emotions. Is it right? No but its human nature. I don't believe Kordell is gay and truthfully, I don't care if he is but I will say that I feel this was a union of two people who wanted two different things out of life. I hate it came to this. I believe Porsha really loves Kordell and deep down, I believe Kordell really loves Porsha.
IAM Woods I listened to this again to be sure I didn't miss anything and I did not hear him say that her finding out on Twitter was a lie. He said she told him to file for a divorce b/c she couldn't afford it. But he didn't say she knew when he was going to do it. She found out publicly. The only thing that he said is a lie is him liking men. I believe some of him and some of her...but they are done so it's whatever.

So to me all his interview just proved is that Portia can be a brat BUT also proved he IS a controlling ass hole who probably isn't gay but everything about the way he spoke proved he was probably a intimidating, dominating douche of a husband. He seemed to be more concerned with the gay rumors than anything, that crap is old news and if you were gay who cares!!!??? Let it go and maybe focus on the fact that you character is being question. Let me bring you up on "game": Kordell has spent a good portion of his life being hit hard by men bigger than him in the NFL. During this time he was stacking his "chips" for his future use. He left the NFL under his own power with pretty much all his faculties. He doesn't have time for bullshit, games and speculation. Porsha on the other hand is 30+ years old and STILL trying to cash in off of the legacy of her grandfather, Hosea Williams. She's also trying to act like she's a cheerleader in high school. See that "Dizzy, Pretty Girl" routine ONLY works for the white girls. Black women can play that game if they want but the results are going to be totally different for them.
William Jones I know the history of Kordell's career and have respect for what he has accomplished. But thanks for "bringing me up on game". Regardless of what he has accomplished or the "chips he has stacked" everyone should be treated with the same dignity and respect. To me it seems that he and maybe you assume that him providing and accomplishing those things makes him entitled to different or better treatment. A healthy relationship wouldn't have been centered around what is brought to the table nor should anyone view it that way. As far as Porsha acting like a "ditzy pretty girl" her personality can be annoying. But at the same point, clearly harmless. Kordell should also take accountability for the fact that he did chose her so that reflects on him as well. Maybe his results would have been better if he didn't chose someone who is young and obviously still mentally a child working on growing up.
