- It might be safe to say there isn't a person in the world who hasn't heard of the name BTS. If that person never watches the news or doesn't have RUclips installed on their phone, then it's a different story.
Yes, we all started with "I just want to know their names", but ended up in this giant black hole. BTS Army, which is the name for the group's fanbase, is the biggest and the most influential fanbase of the world. How did they become so powerful? What drew them into these seven Korean boys they had never met in their life? What's making them stay in the so called "BTS Universe"? In this video, we interview fans from all over the world to understand what it is they love about the boys, and how they are the main contributor to the boys' success in this competitive music industry.

There are ARMY who are just in it for the fantastic music. There are ARMY who are here for the love and support of BTS and fellow ARMY. And countless other reasons. But we are all ARMY. We support BTS and all they stand for. ARMY is made up of all ages, sexual preferences, races, walks of life, rich, poor, every nation in the world, there are no restrictions or limits when it comes to ARMY. We are ONE with our BTS BROTHERS.

I became ARMY because one of the main reasons is that their music is very relatable not only with people in my age but also of all ages. And if you pay attention, ARMY rarely says the reason they like BTS is because of the visuals. Almost all ARMY said the reason is because of their work and messages. And what's great is that BTS has been consistent with message from the very beginning of their debut. From here, you can see the differences between BTS and some other idols or artists. I wouldn't be proud to say I'm a fan of an artist because of looks because looks are just an added point. In my opinion, their work and personality are the most important things artist must have. In conclusion, i am really proud to be an ARMY💜

I grew up in the Beatles era. Their music had messages and as the years have gone by the music has lost messages. Bts is very good a co serving what's wrong in the world, and so many taboo messages like mental health thru their music. The are very talented but they are also warm caring individuals. Its like they are trying to heal our messed up world thru their music and I'm super proud of them. They dont hide their struggles and that helps the fans and Army to relate to them. We know the blood, sweat and tears they worked through and have become the icons a d hope for millions

ARMY has many facets. We like their videos, their MVs, their semi-scripted shows, and everything in between. We like their choreography, we like their music, we like their style or swag, their looks, their fashion, their varied talent. We like their vocals, we like their rap. We like their lyrics which are often akin to poetry. We are enchanted by RUclips "reactors" who spot what we like about them.
The youngest fan I know about is 2 years old, is Korean, and living in Canada and her bias is Suga. I'm 72, living in USA, and my bias is RM though I've never been a fan of rap before. Go figger ... 💜💜
There are many artists I admire and enjoy from YoYo Ma to Disturbed, Mamamoo to IU to Jackson Wang, and Henry but I keep coming back to BTS related videos. I just hope that Big Hit does with TXT and Enhypen what they've done with BTS, let these young people develop their artistry from many angles.

I'm 65. I never cared much for rap but 8 love the rap of BTS. When Suga starts spitting put that rap I want to scream. ( second childhood?). They have such a beautiful message and it's a shame that with as many Army as we have 8n the US it is hard to find radio stations that will play Kpop unless the song is 100% english. Even if you dont know the language you can feel the meaning or google the lyrics. You w0uld be amazed

Yes BTS is the first to apply transmedia storytelling in the music industry (one of the reasons I went back to Kpop after a 3yrs break from it was because of the Bts lore 😅). And because they're in the Kpop category, a lot of their peers are starting to do that. If they start claiming they started it, my goodness, I'm not going to be surprised 😒
The main reason I've become their fan and been here for more than 7-8 years is their music, lyricism and their personalities. They're very much relatable. It's almost like I've grown up with them.
When they were talking about societal expectations and to have a dream, i was in high school. By the time I've joined the college, they talked about the emotions and desires of the youth which I did relate to in that period. And about how important it is to love one's self when I was a graduate student. And now I've graduated and started working, they're talking about finding one's self. The more I think about it, the more confident i feel, because in this path of finding myself, i have Bangtan with me. They're gonna support me and be that bulletproof vest to protect my ideals and interests.
In this journey of being an ARMY, i never felt alone. And in this process they made me accept all my flaws and imperfections. I've come to love myself and I'm much stronger than before.
Because, If there's one thing that BTS teaches you, it's HOW TO LOVE. That love isn't limited to the relationship between opposite genders, but how to love a person or thing or an animal. Pure love among a family, friends and a community. They made me realise that people are still kind amidst impatience, disgust, and jealousy in this volatile world. They bring hope that we can better the world.
They've given me so much in my life, that i can't even repay my life. All i can do is to support and protect them until forever.

I really admired this fandom. It so powerful. They is a lot of army volunteers in many good things related to BTS.
I became army after I see their hardwork and struggles. I really didn't care about BTS before. But I already start to love RM but not into BTS.
When I saw the problematic men shows and RM was there, that is the time I started love BTS.
Then suddenly I saw a video ' from nobodies to legends'. That is the started i became army. I learn and try memorize all their song because I'm not korean.. and now I'm 4months old army.

I personally think that South Korea's greatest platform of popularity is the BTS. Now South Korea is synonymous with BTS. Sometimes BTS is better known than South Korea . I think this one over-emphasises the importance of the BU. It's not that the BU isn't cool, it's very cool! But it's certainly not the no.1 reason why BTS is popular. I think analysts tend to discover some kind of unusual or unique factor about BTS and immediately decide that must be the 'secret' behind their success, but in reality the reasons BTS is successful are simple:
> Message. Lyrics that grab you by the heart and shake you up. Lyrics that make you think "I have to run and tell the world about this." You can feel the authenticity in the words they wrote themselves and the way they deliver them, you can feel the sincerity in their voices when they perform, it's something that can't be faked.
> Performance, hard work. They have grown into truly world-class performers. Rap, vocals and dance are all top tier. Raw talent is combined with tireless practice to create something transcendent. Their effort is always 100% both before success and after it. They truly do burn the stage.
> Personality, teamwork. There are 1000s of hours of unfiltered video of BTS behind the scenes, and they consistently come across as kind, humble, funny, thoughtful, intelligent and down-to-earth. Their team dynamic is amazing, they seem like genuine brothers, it's quite magical to see. They also truly respect their fans, they understand the fans are also intelligent people who were reached by their words, and that we are working hard alongside them.
