Sir please appeal this ruling if you know what you wrote in your book is factual. How can you go through mental rigor and sleepless night of research and then pay the proceeds of book to Afe Babalola?Give me freedom or take my life!
@bernardpeteranayochi2624 Ok so where did the idea of paying the proceeds of the book to Afe Babalola come from. Was it a condition for the bail or what?
To be honest. This whole story is ridiculous. A man went about saying all kinds of things about people, and then was sued for defamation, all of a sudden everybody forgot or ignored the things he said about Afe Babalola and were only focus on the fact he got arrested. Of course, it was a court case. This happens all over the world. It’s not a Nigerian thing.
@ do you know what defamation means? Defamation is a legal term that refers to any statement made by a person, whether verbal or printed, that causes harm to another person’s reputation or character. It is the act of communicating false statements about a person that injure the reputation of that person. A defamatory statement made in writing is considered “libel,” while a defamatory statement that is spoken is considered “slander”. What do you think dele farotimi did? Now do the math. He was simply being held for his actions. And you had a bunch of people screaming free him. As if the actions of the law were somehow illegal. Which is something that would’ve happened to him anywhere else in the world. I just dey look unna dey laugh Infact, our dear David hundeyin has his own court case waiting for him in the UK. For defamation.
