- Cochem is located on the Moselle River (die Mosel in German), which is also one of the town’s many charms. Home to only about 5,200 residents (as of 2021), the small town punches above it weight with half-timbered houses, a riverside promenade, in-town vineyards, a scenic market square, charming restaurants and inns, and of course Cochem Castle.Tucked away in the far west of Germany is a charming village on a winding river that most people have never heard of. There’s a castle on a hill, beautiful houses with traditional German architecture, and more Riesling than you can shake a stick at. But this isn’t a fairy tale. This is Cochem in the world class Mosel Valley of Germany.

Sehr gut gemachte Aufnahmen mit ruhiger Kameraführung. Ich war schon so oft in Cochem, habe jetzt aber immer noch bisher unbekannte Plätze dank diesem Video gesehen. Danke dafür. ❤
Ja Sibille,da gibt's wirklich viele versteckte Gässchen.Ich habe selbst in COC gewohnt,mußte aber 1958 nach Beckum umziehen,mein Vater hatte da Arbeit.Aber bis1970 war ich in den Sommerferien immer in Cochem,deshalb kenn' ich da jeden Winkel.Und im Video bei 12:43sieht man ein gelbes Gebäude,da wohne ich immer,wenn wir Jahrgangstreffen feiern.Das ist das Haus Andreas.Dann komme ich immer für4 Tage "heim",das ist immer ganz lustig.So,dann wünsch ich dir noch einen schönen Restfeiertag.L G.😂
Sehr schönes Video ich war schon öfter in Cochem, mein Sohn lebt dort.Krankheits bedingt geht es nicht mehr.Dankeschön liebe Grüße aus Thüringen ❤❤

There are two or three supermarkets on the other side of the river in Cond.
we bombed the shit out of the place in the second world war ,and they rebuilt it to look old but most of the town is only 50 years old
