I love how this video is still answering people's questions (mine included!) to this day. Great concise explanation, and just saved me unnecessarily spending a ton of money on a UHS-II card when my (relatively) high-spec UHS-I cards will be perfectly fine. Thank you!
Glad it helped! Fuji updates their Firmware quite often so maybe. Are you running the latest firmware 1.10? Here's how to check and install the latest Firmware on your X-T4 - ruclips.net/video/C3ghQo5ixC0/видео.html
Hi Scott, a question for you: if I take a photo at the x-t4 and modify settings of jpeg recipes, I sometime have delay time between shots. I thought it’s due to my sd card , but, when I moved to bracket mode (3 color simulations at one shot), I didn’t have delay at all... any idea? Thanks
Hi thanks for your question! From what I've learned if you modify the jpg settings to include Clarity it can slow down the camera. If clarity is set to anything other than 0, it takes the camera longer to process the file. Hopefully that answered your question. Thanks for watching!
@@ScottDawson Ah ok, I took it out yesterday in rain and after shooting with a prime i just don't like it as much. I put it on zone focus and Auto and just wasn't 100% happy with it. With prime on manual I know what I'm shooting but also I used zone on prime lens and that was OK though.
Certainly a bit of a learning curve getting a new camera. I have a bunch of videos on the channel covering many of the options and setup so hopefully you find them helpful. Thanks for watching!
Excellent videos. I’ve been using an x-t4 that I run in raw/jpeg mode. By default, the playback photos on the camera are all in raw format, I’m assuming it’s because all the raws are on card 1. These are much more dull than the jpeg playback and make quick field adjustments much more difficult. Is there any way to use this mode but have jpeg playbacks instead?
Thanks for all your helpful X-T4 videos. I've just purchased 2 x 256GB UHS-II V60 SD cards. But in video mode, my X-T4 is showing only 99m59s for 512GB on its LCD screen. Whereas my 2 x 32GB SD cards are showing the correct 39m10s for 64GB. Does your X-T4 show the correct capacity with bigger capacity SD cards in video mode? Btw, no video settings were changed and all cards are in working condition. TIA!
I have a “SanDisk Extreme PRO 128GB SDXC Memory Card up to 170MB/s, UHS-1, Class 10, U3, V30” for my XT4. Will this suffice for both image and footage of 4K 60fps ?
@@ScottDawson thanks for your reply! I actually did but nothing.. Then I went to the settings camera - > Set up - > User setting - > Format - > select your slot - > erase all data. And it perfectly now 😬
Question, I did a shoot and shot raw, I had two different SD cards (Ultra plus and extreme pro) and realized that the photos won’t upload from my SD cards but it’s on my actual XT-4, is there a way for me to recover all of my photos since they’re still on my actual camera? It’d mean a lot.
SOS.. SOS...SOOOOSSSS... Ok. I bout for my xt4 for video San Disc 256gb u3 4k speed tast : 84 mb/s read 95 mb/s mb 40mb Will this card working with my xt4 ? ???
@@diyidea3031 V30 means a guaranteed write speed of minimum 30 MB/s. Your camera is able to record 4K with a bit rate of 400 Mb/s, which translates to 50 MB/s. This means that if you want to have video with no dropped frames or other problems, you should record at a bit rate of 200 Mb/s (25 MB/s). You won't notice a big difference in video quality from 200 to 400, most cameras record 4K at 100 Mb/s.

Hi Scott, which card should I choose for my xt4 camera at 4k 16: 9 50 fps 200 mbps. (sandisk 128 gb 170mbps or lexar 128 gb 250 mbps ?)
Check out the links in the video description for recommendations. I'd go with the fastest one.

I have a Fu
