It's the best video explaining how this memory card thing works. Most people on RUclips aren't dumbing down this information for recreational photographers/videographers or someone just getting started. Thank you for posting this. It is very helpful.
Just bought a r6 mark ii this past week. Just got the v30 sd card. I don't do speed Bursts and take a crazy amount of pictures. So for me it's good enough. And when i do portraits it's only 10-30 pictures
I'm also buying the R6 Mark II soon (Black Friday deal) but I'll be doing 4K 60 video 90% of the time, so I'm going with the V60 cards instead of V30. But V90 seems overkill for me.
I used V30 Sd from Amazon and they perform well with my R6 with 4k 60 or when Im shooting faster frame shots with photography. Idk. it seems to work fine. They also outperform the Samsung Evo cards via speed text,
@@alessandrocwilliam I think it improved a little, the biggest advantage was that recording in 4k 60 no longer stops. I think the best way to avoid banding is to record in HDR PQ, especially in low light situations.
Your video is very good. I have a DJI Action 2 camera. It requires v30 micros cards. Will it work with a v90 card? is there a hardware difference between v30 and v90 cards?
I started shooting 4K when the Panasonic GH4 came out. There was a lot of fuss at the time about SD cards at a lot of speculation about what speeds would be required to shoot in the Cinema mode C4K or 4090x2160 at 24fps in V-Log 4.2.0 8-bit I could only afford the Transend 128GB U3 V30 card and guess what, I still use it today nearly 10 years later with my brand new Panasonic S5ii shooting 6K open gate 4.2.2. 10bit V-Log and it has zero issues. So don't get fooled into thinking that you need to buy a V60 card to shoot in 6K with a high bit rate and demanding codec because it just isn't true. A U3 V30 card is just fine.
V30 = 8*30 Mb/s = 240 mbit/s. On Fuji cameras bitrate 100mbit/s is enough. Max bitrate on xt-4 - 400mbit/s. So you can shooting 200mbit/s with v30 card. Also I tested xt4 with v30 on 400mbit/s and it was ok. 1 mb = 8 mbit
I have a V30 for my Fujifilm X-T3 and so far I had not problems, I'm still recording at DCI 4K 30fps with 10-bits and 400mbits quality, that's why I'm so confused right now.
I am curious to try your products, specially as card 256 v90. How well is compare with SanDisk cards? I read a review that one person lost his photos, as a photographer I’m a bit afraid that happen to me. Since that’s my living and I can’t have any of those kind of issues!
5:35 My Camera Storage requirement is XAVC S HD: Micro SDXC Memory Card (Class 10 or Higher) My Memory Card has 512GB with a Speed up to 170MB/s, 90MB/s Write Speed, UHS 3 aaannnndddddd no Video Speed Class base from the SD Card Label My Camcorder has error when Format to XAVC S HD
Hello, I would like to say thank you very much for the valuable information that you provided. I do have one question, I fly a DJI Inspire 2 drone which causes for using a V-30 card, could I get better performance by using a V-90 card over the V-30 version? Thank you and I'll wait for your response
I DID WATCH THIS VIDEO BUT KNOW ITS OLDER SO MAYBE YOUR OPINION CHANGED So im new to your channel and I did subscribe. I just bought my 1st quality camera the Canon r6 mark ii and don't want a cheap memory card. What's your opinion on the best 128gb card that will not have trouble shooting 4k time-lapse or 40fps burst shots.... thanks for your help and opinion. I'm asking now because this video isn't new and maybe you have a more recent opinion
Well the video explained everything and it was quite clear so I don't know why you don't have the answer to your own question? In your case any would be fine.
Dash cams that record in 1080p and 2K both prefer a V30 high endurance card for reliably. Like you said in the video, always choose the right micro sd card for your Device because sometimes faster isn’t always better. 😉
Thanks for sharing! Yes V30 is used in dash cameras because most if not all don't support UHS-II V60 microSD cards and their speeds. Choosing an A2 over an A1 V30 SD Card for some dash cameras is better depending on the resolution and quality of the dash camera, most affordable dash cameras you find though will work fine with a v30 A1 card
Its not just market craze, its the next logical jump in resolutions. You're right that its not easy to stream right now, but more and more devices are able to export/edit 4k easily. I think you'll see more usage open up once codecs evolve a bit more to compress it for lower bandwidth, which is starting to happen.

Very Helpful and Understandable Lesson. Thank You Brother
Hi Sabrent Should I get V60 or V90 for a Sony A6600
I used V30 Sd from Amazon and they perform well with my R6 with 4k 60 or when Im shooting faster frame shots with photography. Idk. it seems to work fine. They also outperform the Samsung Evo cards via speed text,
I ALSO USE THE V30'S WITH AN R8 4K 60 10BITS 4:2:2, BUT LATATELY I'VE NOTICED A LOT OF BANDING IN MY RECORDINGS, SO I BOUGHT A V60 TO TEST
@@mig.reinoso Did it improved anything?

Is a v60 good enough for 4k 60p from the fujifilm x t4?

My Sony, a 7S3 won’t take bracketed photos with my ISO level super low. I’m using a v30. What should I do to fix this?
Nice explanation! def needed.
Glad it was helpful!
I still don't know what card would be best just for my phone and laptop.. just to take everyday pics and videos... and editing.
usaully a V30 micro sd card with a uhs-l logo
Well the video explained everything and it was quite clear so I don't know why you don't have the answer to your own question? In your case any would be fine.
Very nice and clear explanation thanks.

A v90 card is a 614x card. They need to bring the X standard back! None of the cards used V speed classes before 2010.
Great explanation! Thanks.
You're welcome!
What about uhs1 and uhs2

I get way to much tearing with v30s even on 1080p. I've gone v60. V90 is just way to expensive for what I need it for.
Great video series
Glad you enjoy it!
My Gopro 11 Black is not supporting SanDisk Extreme Pro V30 card, what should i do ?
Try our Sabrent Rocket V30 A2 microSD for the GoPro 11 Black, it works great!
Does it offer V60 or V90 micro sd cards
Thanks so much ❤
You're welcome 😊
For go pro 12 ?
A V30 microSD
thanks!
Why this video is dark?
Hated all the bs from someone who knows jack. Bad enough knowing class 10 then the u then v. ridiculous for someone who just wants something to work.
1080 is plenty resolution… 4k is not easy to export or upload or stream .. it’s just market craze
