Sorry for the dirty hands I have in this video, I have gone back to my old job and it's pretty dirty work. Anyway enjoy the trains, I love this train show ;)
This is a very relaxing video. :3 I'd love to go to Australia and see the train show, but I live in the states and flight tickets are far from cheap. :P
i am glad that you have chosen to record this train show . i like the way the models interact with the kids . may times the kids are left out of the picture as they are the next generaton of modelers . i also liked the fellow who was selling the toy cars @ $1.00 a shot. you go to swap meets ( i dont know what you call them in oz?) the dealers sell them " by the book, " and children cant afford that ( they are after the collector market). we have a fellow here who dosnt sell used trains at outragous prices in the same way the model car dealer does . keep up the good work in promoting this great show.
That Lego layout is amazing! I have always had a soft spot for Lego in my hart and I feel like looking at the trains reminds me of classic Lego! Great video especially with the filming angles.
BranchlineReviews yeah Lego is one of the most amazing and cheap way to do model railway the metal rails and the combination of the creativity of Lego is perfect for the hobby
love these train videos, my fav layout is tefty because of all the British but the others are all very nice also sausage sandwiches are a favourite in the UK
@ 6:55-7:28 I see 3 of my favorite (non-Thomas) engines, Stephenson's Rocket (first locomotive to carry passengers on a railway and the first ever built), GNR (I think) Stirling Single 4-2-2 (a beautiful Victorian-Era express engine), and the Gresley-built "Mallard" streamliner (2nd locomotive to go the fastest after the GWR "City Of Truro" in 1904).
+Twinswords We have Hotdogs in Australia too. But quite often at these kinds of events or small group fundraisers etc, you'll be offered sausage in bread (sausage sandwich) often with the choice of plain or with tomato sauce and perhaps grilled onion. If you have a more "manly" hunger to satisfy, then there may be an option of BBQ steak in bread too. :)
Very very nice train show (saw this earlier but alas, writing comments on a phone is difficult). They've really got the whole kit there for a great day out. Some of those sets are just lovely... but think of the time! Live steamers were always going to be a risk, I guess some people feel they paid off. The Rocket model however is very nice, thought it would have had more issues being so small. I'll have to see if I can get myself to the show next year for the big one!
+XtremeTrainz The Hornby Live Steam is a very curious beast. When it's set up right it's totally amazing, but on this new layout all the voltage drops need to be fixed. It's sad Hornby dumped the Live Steam idea.
+leokimvideo I've seen the Hornby live steam running very well at a trade show with a Hornby rep flown over to Melbourne to demonstrate it. I agree. Set up properly on a track made to handle the high current needed, they can run very well and set an extra challenge in operating them. There's quite a delay in the loco responding to the controls. So stopping at a platform is quite an art - as is the real thing. :)
Great vid, thanks for this. Was that a Flying Scotsman 1/4 way through!? My dad had a Hornby train that had injectable fluid to make steam, but this was in the early 90s, so I don't know and can't remember what engine it was. lol @ Superman & Indy at Legeauxland That Minnie was awesome too, thanks so much for this Leo! Great stuff!
You know Leo, I recently purchased a train set called the ghan, which is an Australian train, it has a red American styled locomotive, and three coaches which I was surprised to see the American influence. The only other Australian train I have is the Indian pacific. If you've heard of these trains, I can tell you the coaches used by both trains have an obvious American influence.
emdB67 Oh, that. Well, whatever. I have been on the real ghan train from Sydney to Alice springs, Australia before. The coaches of the real train, as I said before, bare a strong American influence. If you look at the coaches used by the ghan, you'll know what I'm talking about.
+TheNw1218 Indeed I do. Tri-ang / Hornby also had Canadian carriages that were sold as Australian carriages. Lima also had some nice models of Indian Pacific carriages (first made in the 1970s) which have also been sold in North America in Amtrak and Canadian Via Rail carriages. Yes, all similar in appearance. :)
+JTT James The Trainer Transport Vlogs I do go to the Thornleigh Brick Pit (Queens Birthday Weekend) train show, many people there speak highly of the Liverpool show. My video of the 2015 Thornleigh show is yet to be edited. They had a problem this year of not having enough displays...loads of empty space on the floor. Lesson there is small gauge railways don't take up too much space. They had fillers there that were half built layouts. Problem with the larger train shows is it's very difficult to make good videos because of the other people there and separation between trains and audience. At St Lukes I can get right up close to the displays, thats important to make a good video. If I'm made to stand 2 mtrs away from a N Gauge layout it's almost impossible to video. Thornleigh is very much like that.
+Tjbulic's Train Vlogs Stunning isn't it. Maybe I need to do a special video about the person behind that Lego display. I have a feeling he's an expert builder. I have seen that display many times, and every time it's in a different format. It never looks stale.
+leokimvideo I can't lie, G scale is very impressive once you get a good layout. You could sit there for hours and watch the trains go around and around :D
+Karl Harvey I have links in the info area or just Google St Luke's Model Railway Show. all the info is there. In fact I can leave a link here stlukeschurch.com.au/st-lukes-railway-modellers-club/
You are a legend. My dad took me to Train fairs like that!
I LOVE METRO TRAMS

Wow, when I saw last of your videos your son was a baby child. Now he's all grown up and can walk! I am happy to see him fully developed!
Wow 5 years past i wonder if he is on highschool already
That is quite an impressive show. That penguin lift thing was interesting to see. The LEGO display was a surprise to see as well.
very nice Train Video
Still, it's a really cool model layout that includes LEGO, "Thomas" models, British Railways, the UK, and even America!!
great show
Sorry for the dirty hands I have in this video, I have gone back to my old job and it's pretty dirty work. Anyway enjoy the trains, I love this train show ;)
***** yes I have heard of him he is a ghost engine
James Groccia yeah that's how he became a ghost
I have a rocket model (the train) ;)
what was your old job?
when is the next train show
A single-decker Tangara (probably a G-set one) as a monorail in Lego? Looks interesting.
+ElNeroDiablo Many people love that Sydney Trains Lego monorail, I was certainly impressed.
This is a very relaxing video. :3
I'd love to go to Australia and see the train show, but I live in the states and flight tickets are far from cheap. :P
That sucks.........

For an American
@@jiggyjohn6949 Honestly it sucks to be an American in general 😂

+Anthony Gonzalez Well he ditched directing the video to play on a jumping castle. Kids of today seem so random.

So cool! I'm going to Greenberg's Model Train Show today way over here in the U.S.A.
I'd like to see you bring those props and sets from "Mad Bomber" and display them at the train shows :P
I see some one saying UMMMM WHY

Dylan Jang ui
Leo you should do a lot more Bachmann/Hornby Unboxing and runs, just like the Diesel and Spencer video! By the way loved the video!
We don't have sausage sandwiches, we have hotdogs!
and in we I meant the USA Also great vidoe!
+Twinswords *Video*

emdB67 Well hotdos here in the US sound more common than ones in austrailia, well at least for me they are.
Great video keep up the good work👍👍👍👍😜

leokimvideo that green steam locomotive is the flying Scotsman
leo leo the engine at 7:46 is the flyingscotsman
and the engine at 7:08 is edward
this is my old toy when i was little
dude I saw some engines that were used in Thomas and Friends! there was Ben, Rocket, Henry, Gorden, and Im pretty sure I saw sir thopem hat
That sausage sandwich looks like a Wienerwurst I ate while in Germany. In the states, it's more of a footlong "hot dog" or Frankfurter.
Sausage sizzle is what its called here in Australia mate
Great vid, thanks for this. Was that a Flying Scotsman 1/4 way through!? My dad had a Hornby train that had injectable fluid to make steam, but this was in the early 90s, so I don't know and can't remember what engine it was.
lol @ Superman & Indy at Legeauxland
That Minnie was awesome too, thanks so much for this Leo! Great stuff!
Thanks for the confirmation, it flashed by so quick that I didn't get a look at the nameplate there!
Hay leo I have seen the REAL Rocket at the museum in Chicago IL USA it's awesome
Up in Canada we call em’ “Newfie dogs”
Would love to have a replica mini steam engine for my desk.

The only other Australian train I have is the Indian pacific. If you've heard of these trains, I can tell you the coaches used by both trains have an obvious American influence.
+TheNw1218 I'm guessing that is the Frateschi-made Ghan. The models are actually Brazilian prototypes, repainted for the local market.
emdB67 Oh, that. Well, whatever. I have been on the real ghan train from Sydney to Alice springs, Australia before. The coaches of the real train, as I said before, bare a strong American influence. If you look at the coaches used by the ghan, you'll know what I'm talking about.

Great Job Leo, have you ever thought about going to Thornleigh or Liverpool model railway show next year?
+JTT James The Trainer Transport Vlogs I do go to the Thornleigh Brick Pit (Queens Birthday Weekend) train show, many people there speak highly of the Liverpool show. Yep I can understand where your coming from thanks Leo
The monorail on the Lego layout looks like a Tangara (T-set).
+Tjbulic's Train Vlogs Stunning isn't it. Maybe I need to do a special video about the person behind that Lego display. I have a feeling he's an expert builder. I have seen that display many times, and every time it's in a different format. It never looks stale.
Yes, that would be interesting to see.
+Tjbulic's Train Vlogs yes but its only 2 1/4 of a tangara
All the live steam engines are also Hornby and all the other engines on the layout
I wish I could see next year's show, but I'm in the U.S.A. ;-;
if you ever come to the uk try bemish in Durham
Hello Leo! My local model train show is on soon, and I could record some footage and send it to you.
The monorail type train is a Sydney trains t set (tangara)
+Matthew Read Nice isn't it. That Lego man really knows his stuff.
+leokimvideo true
The green train you saw that was on the thing that live steam mallard was on was the flying scotsman
Duck was a bit dirailed at fegoustown layout
2:51
who ya gonna call? ghostbusters
hey leo, what is your favorite scale of trains personally, mine is HO/OO scale.
+troublesome junction I think the scale to go for is G scale. It's a tad expensive and takes up a ton of space. But boy it's impressive to run around.
+leokimvideo I can't lie, G scale is very impressive once you get a good layout. You could sit there for hours and watch the trains go around and around :D
wow
