The club themselves don’t seem to know what the official colour shade is or how big the name and diamonds should be given it frequently changes on almost all correspondence. I believe the badge was a rushed effort as the former crest was a shield and thus outlawed along with a number of other teams due to Scotland’s bizarre heraldry laws. I couldn’t even tell you what the diamonds are supposed to represent?.
I do believe that modernising isn't always better. Some modernised badges are great but some are terrible. And i also agree with some others who've reacted here that badges showing the heritage can also be great. It all has everything to do with personal opinions and preferences. From a marketing standpoint i understand the need to simplify the badges so that you can more easily print it on just about anything you want. But let's just say that newer isn't always better, for instance i think the new Juventus badge is terrible, and i know that just about every Ajax fan hates the newer badge and would prefer to get the old one back. I am not a professional badge creator but i sometimes dabble with photoshop just for the fun of it, and i have experimented with the St. Johnstone badge to try and modernise it a bit but still using al the old elements however i don't know how to show it to you in this comment. I love your video's mate, keep up the good work! I myself am an FC Utrecht fan so if you ever do another video with them in it or if you do a video about them i will definetely want to see that.
Judging badges on the fact they haven't changed in years is pretty poor, over the last decade club badges like Juventus has been changed and the clubs fans hated it, historic doesn't mean it's bad!
Ross county is pish… that font is dreadful. Motherwells badge is great, very recognisable to me. The Rangers badge is miles better than Celtic. (Thistle fan so no biased)
Re your comments on Dundee United's badge needing a refresh... There are so many fans out there now with design skills that clubs could put it out as a competition modernise their badges... Or look on Behance, there are loads of already redesigned badges for loads of different footy teams - I don't think there's any excuses for top tier teams having poor badges these days.
I always thought the old Rangers crest was good but needed modernised, however now that it’s been modernised I actually preferred the old one. Perhaps it goes to show that some crests shouldn’t be tampered with.
The Celtic badge and the Rangers badge are the same. The clubs name round the outsde and a symbol in the middle. This is where I think you are more of a Celtic fan tbh.

As a Celtic fan, I’ve got to admit that I’m in love with Heart’s badge 💚
I AM A RANGERS!!!😡😡😡
@@miagielkens6440 I don’t think no one asked mate
Thank you sir
RANGERS ONE SHOULD DEFINITELY BE AT THE TOP IT SHOULD BE IN OUR OWN SECTION LEVELS ABOVE EVERY OTHER BADGE
Judging badges on the fact they haven't changed in years is pretty poor, over the last decade club badges like Juventus has been changed and the clubs fans hated it, historic doesn't mean it's bad!
Very good idea. Make same about another divisions. Thanks
How do you buy Scottish Premiership tickets?I am trying to go to a Rangers FC game as a tourist and cannot find anything.
Ross county is pish… that font is dreadful. Motherwells badge is great, very recognisable to me. The Rangers badge is miles better than Celtic. (Thistle fan so no biased)
the gers is miles better than celtic from a thistle fan and you have your profile pic as a union jack? 😂 your a hun plain and simple
@@stephenpatton703 Okay lmao. I was at the thistle vs raith game today. Why do people think unionists have to be rangers fans? Very one dimensional.
You should do this for other European Clubs.
Dundee’s other crest style badge is much better, wish they still used it. I’d swap United and Dundee tbh.
The st Johnstone badge is the council logo for perth or very similar
You should do a Scottish championship badge one
Re your comments on Dundee United's badge needing a refresh... There are so many fans out there now with design skills that clubs could put it out as a competition modernise their badges... Or look on Behance, there are loads of already redesigned badges for loads of different footy teams - I don't think there's any excuses for top tier teams having poor badges these days.
Congratulations... we remain friends 👏🤣
Yes ma man didna expect Aberdeen to be that high 👍STAND FREE!! ❤❤❤ COYR
Why do Rangers have a seperate bafge for their kits? Whats this reason/history. Always wondered
It’s just always been like that. The embroiled letters just looks better on the kit than the official club crest.
Great video
I agree that the Aberdeen badge is a design classic.
That Ross County badge is awful, looks like a 12 year old made it on paint!
Peterhead FC badge looks like the logo for a chip shop
I always saw the Aberdeen badge was a boat because they are near the sea
The Rangers badge is alright but i still prefer the old one. It just looks too modern for me. The Anniversary badge is a thing of beauty though.
I always thought the old Rangers crest was good but needed modernised, however now that it’s been modernised I actually preferred the old one. Perhaps it goes to show that some crests shouldn’t be tampered with.
Did they get a new badge when they began in 2012
Agree with most of those and love the pish category!
I like the rangers badge, it says it all to me, maybe because I am English.
can u do one of the other scottish divisions championship div 1 div 2
Come to a hearts game next mate 🇱🇻
Class vid
A saxon rating scottish club badges fair play to him
The Celtic badge and the Rangers badge are the same. The clubs name round the outsde and a symbol in the middle. This is where I think you are more of a Celtic fan tbh.
Green jumper, green background, put Celtic second so it's not suspicious. Hail Hail mate :D
🤣😂 What about my Kelty scarf hanging off the world map???
Excellent stuff. I spent some time in Aberdeen in the 90s at university. Loved it. People were awesome, boozers were killing it, and Pittodrie was always a great place to go and see Partick get beat 3-0 usually. The dons badge wins for me tho.
They say gingers have no soul I never believed that till now when u put the dundee badge (which looks like the did a local school competition to see who can design the best badge) above uniteds badge wtf u been smoking they both need improving u sir have earned a pie aff yer coopin next time your up here😂🤣😂🤣 just joking but seriously dude fml🙄
Best comment av read in a while, well played man.
@@celticfan3585 cheers bud I forgot I wrote this to be fair typical salty Scottish reply
Yes the Aberdeen badge is extremely classy , they are a class club all round
The Hibees badge is a work of art. Far better than that heart shaped monstrosity. 😉
