Transformers RiD (2001) Ultra Magnus - GotBot True Review NUMBER 711

This time I look at the Transformers Robots in Disguise (2001) version of Ultra Magnus in part one of three as we move toward Omega Prime. This huge monstrosity has an impressive, imposing and functional truck mode. He even has rubber tires with detailing written on them. The conversion to robot requires "partsfrming" with a sometimes challenging upper body, but the resulting robot has stature, even if oddly proportioned. His coloration is extremely accurate to the show. The articulation initially seems very limited. However, the more one explores, the more one discovers hat he can actually pull off several dynamic poses. While all joints are there, improvements could have still been made. For example, there could be a deeper elbow, hinge and swivel shoulders, maybe with a ratchet and longer thighs with shorter shins.
