  • Epimers are the twins with a single point of difference in their configuration. Even that small difference sometimes can bring a large variation in their stability and activity. So this video, we will discuss what are the epimers, how they are formed, what is epimerization and its effect on properties of compounds.

    for epimers their must be more than two asymmetric carbon. is that true sir??

      Yes, there should be at least two asymmetric carbons for epimers such that they differ in configuration at one carbon only. Compounds with only one asymmetric carbon with opposite configuration are simply enantiomers.
