- Epimers are the twins with a single point of difference in their configuration. Even that small difference sometimes can bring a large variation in their stability and activity. So this video, we will discuss what are the epimers, how they are formed, what is epimerization and its effect on properties of compounds.

I was facing problem in epimers since a long time. This video has cleared all my doubts.
Amazing explanation!!
Thank you so much for the better explanation 🎉
very well taught, thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
Amazing explanation ❤
Glad you liked it !
It makes the concept very clear to me...thanks❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thankyou sir for this video🙏🙏🙏
well explained
Excuse me, sir, but the structure of the D-lyxose formula is not correct. D-lyxose and D-xylose are C-2 epimers. However, the video is very useful and everything is well explained! Thank you!
Well explained
Thanks
thanks
TX sir
Thank you
Welcome!
Sir please make in anomer, diasteromers and enantiomers
A video on enantiomers and diastereomers was uploaded. Please check it.

D galactose and d mannose are epimers or diasteromers?
epimers are part of diasteromers
d lyxose and d-xylose structure is wrongly shown i think
for epimers their must be more than two asymmetric carbon. is that true sir??
Yes, there should be at least two asymmetric carbons for epimers such that they differ in configuration at one carbon only. Compounds with only one asymmetric carbon with opposite configuration are simply enantiomers.
@@egpat thank u very much
