Nice video! I think my nervousness when it comes to to street photography is because there’s not a lot of people out and about in my city and where there are people, they are spread out because everyone wants their own space. Getting close become challenging.

Nice shots though...I liked the video overall. I currently own 7 camera bags. One I use regularly (an old Lowepro sling), one now and then and one just as a 'home storage pod'...The others I don't use....and I still regularly look at new cam bags. I think, to most photographers, camera bags are a fetish.
There's definitely something alluring about camera bags that is hard to comprehend. I've been searching for "the perfect" bag for so long. And they all have their issues -- EXCEPT -- I recently found one that does everything I need it to do and I'm extremely happy now.
@@aaronsambeyfilm So true, they do somehow seem seductively alluring and, ofc, finding one that really suits your overall needs, is easier said than done. I generally find on a bag that I like, there are always a couple of niggles. Finding the right bag is a personal thing and I even have looks quite high on my list, especially when photographing in a busy city, the bag has to look good and in turn, that makes me feel more comfortable overall. If you care to share, I'd be interested to know which bag you got, that ticks all your boxes.
I will accept a subject just staring at me. In Seattle I’ve been yelled and cursed at. I’ve had somebody try to steal my camera. I’ve had the police called on me. I’m not obnoxious like Bruce Gilden. I just take my images as stealthy as possible and move on. Some people in Seattle are not very nice. Mask On Nurse Marty (Ret)
Visit Karachi (Pakistan) sometime, to know what Loud really is. :) I am watching the video and wonder where is everyone. And not to mention the luxury so many of you have over those countries/cities to just put cameras on somewhere to film yourself! You have no idea the blessings you have. :)
It was a strangely empty day in downtown Toronto -- and I absolutely do have a lot of fortune to be able to do what I do in a relatively safe environment. Thank you for the comment!
I really appreciate that! There's always going to be people that would rather try and tear down others rather than build them up. I find it is best to approach it with more grace than venom. (Of course , there are exceptions that)
You hate the cold. You hate the bag you're reviewing. You hate the street noise. A handful of boring photos. 15 minutes truly wasted. Annoying music. why do you mention art as an activity you are engaged in. A little self-reflection might go a long way in improving your endeavors. Seriously.
Here's one thing that I find wrong about a lot of "street photography" videos...street photography doesn't mean that you take photographs of the street. Stop taking pictures of streets with no one on it. It's boring.
Where do you think that comes from? Taking pictures on the street without people in them? Does that make them not street photography, or do you think that people will always enhance photography? Legitimately curious.
@@aaronsambeyfilm It's not necessarily that there are no people. There's just seems to be no anticipation of a moment. There's no intent, therefore no realized intent. People walking around all day taking pictures of virtually nothing seem to be cataloguing and not documenting which is just about as interesting as watching the feed off a Google Maps truck rolling around the city. Not trying to be mean.
@@silverfishla It definitely makes me curious to see some of the work you're putting out in the world in order to skirt this idea of "street photography" in your mind.
@@silverfishla Mostly curious about what works for you and what doesn't. There's enough gear hounds out there spouting their opinions and others doing what makes them happy; especially now having a platform to regularly present their approach. Of course, I'm going to have my built in opinion against naysayers versus those that do -- but I'm open to hearing what those that do have to say about my personal approach.
I resonate so much with your words and art. Perfect video

Oh yeah, and the mic sounds pretty good.
Okay, great!

Nothing like a video about photography with no photos.
