I have followed every step you have done and I still get that same error. The only thing i have done differently is i used the online installer for qt and installed version 5.8, with the src files included, and i did a full install of MySql and have the Connector C 6.1 folder and just used the path to that \lib file. Do you have any suggestions as to why I am still getting this error? Thank you in advance

For those who are having problem with the SQL driver just add in your .pro file after the core and gui. It will be fine. Peace;

It didnt work for me. I used the libmysql.lib in MySQL Server. It's different?
