I ordered the gold hog stream sluice and I converted that into a highbanker.. what's great about that stream sluice is that you get 2 different mats and a leg kit.. I think it's $279 plus shipping.. but I receive mine when he was on Prospectors radio and he gave out 25 at cost before it was put on the market.. $225 and free shipping.. Anyway I converted it into a highbanker because of the lack of rain that we were having when I first ordered it.. But I do like your design here also.. I made a 10×32 header box for it, and I also added an extra 22 inches to my stream sluice.. Lol... and now here in Virginia We're getting record-breaking rain this year.. So now it's back as a stream sluice for now..
Lol.. And one more thing.. you're a resident header box that you have.. you could probably convert that to a powerhead by just adding a piece of metal from the back end coming up and over the top.. somewhat like the gold hog power pig header that they just made.. that would convert your highbanker into a clean up sluice.. Maybe.. Lol..
You could also make the header box for the stream sluice in the same design that you made yours.. Mine is somewhat like yours now.. I can feed it fast.. I built mine too almost match Docs Raptor highbanker.. I also made the reverse ramp riffle that was easy to make..
I've noticed one thing I bought a mini highbanker and because I bought it and the guy put levels on it replicate the highbanker would be super easy do you have all the dimensions you can make it any size you want but one thing I would do differently with the hopper I would build flares for it which would have small water pipes on either side of it to wash the flare so you can actually talk the dirt in a little bit if you want to work a little bit faster that way you're not missing the hopper at all
That setup is pretty cool. May I ask what type of pump you're using for this? Water pressure looks great and I'm building my own hopper but don't have any experience with the equipment specs
This is a 2200 GPH pump, 1.25” output barb. I don’t remember where I got it. It’s been a while. I haven’t been prospecting in many years sadly. But I still have the whole setup, and hope to get back to it someday.
With this pump you can use much wider sluicebox .around 28mm-32mm wide.I use 1100gph pum on 13,5 14v for 30mm wide sluicbox and it works fine
Looks good!
Great explained! I see it similar like you from 0:60 to 1:20! Nice Highbanker! Keep on!
It is possible to add injector nozzle but for better result you have to use 2 pumps.

And its important to stop lose water from the hopper.all of the water must fall inside the sluice box.

@MRT_H thanks for the info. The pumps I've been looking at should do the truck then.
Get back out there, you're missing all the fun
