How do you clean the drain?

I bought a new house with this system. I’ve cleaned out the filters and try to every couple months, but filters are getting hard to clean and falling apart. Where can I buy these filters or what’s the part number?
    Thanks

Thank you so much as I have the exact same unit. Should I be running this in the fall and winter or just the winter time? I'm getting differing opinions. I know in the summer time because of the AC I shouldn't run it. Please shed some light on this if you can.

That's what I heard also but my Wife has alergies so I run it when there isn't pollens in the air such as summer during high pollen count days.

Do you still need bathroom and kitchen fans with a hrv system like this. Thanks

My opinion is , yes, it doesn't move air fast enough for removing odors.

Absolutely yes! This is likely only a bypass installation, where it is drawing air from your duct system, instead of pulling exhaust air from it's own 'dedicated' exhaust ducting. IMo, even a semi or fully dedicated system is only a complement to a decent kitchen range and bath fans.

I would tighten up that flex a bit. It's a little droopy. One of your chains is off at the back, and the unit might level better if you lined up the joist chains a bit better. Also try to keep your drain loop (assuming it's present) about * inches from the bottom of the unit.

Hi I just bought my house and I opened the HRV box for the first time and I realized that they installed the heat core upsidedown...it's that okay or it should be installed one way only ?
    Thank you

If it's the same as mine it should go in right side up.

The unit can be installed inverted. It depends on the direction of the flex, and the installer can choose to install the unit "upside down" in order to minimize elbows. The thing to look for , is whether the metal 'splash plate' is removed from the side of the core.
