@@Rachtale It mostly is a mask. It's a nose and cheek prosthetic. Notice the "whiskers" are actually just holes that the actor breathes air in and out of.

It takes alot of practice for someone to get that skill down. You got think like the character, you gotta move like the character, you gotta talk like the charachter, YOU GOTTA BE THE CHARACTER!!! Easy right?

1. I swore Max was a robot, until his trainer gave him a treat. 2. Your impressions are great! 3. The actors at Universal are not only spot on, they are really great at ad libbing and staying in character no matter what comes their way.

I love the Grinch at Universal! The live action version is my favorite Christmas movie, I was so happy when I got to see him last year. I hope they never replace it with the new animated Grinch.
