I learned how to do mine from going to natural hair salons and watching what they do. I don’t have the patience for the shingling all the time but I try to do the other things lol

I would try the leave-in first followed by the Reflex Serum working that in well and adding more water and defining it the best you could , and lastly following up by glazing over the Hi Definition Gel for more smoothness and hold. Like you said creams take a bit to dry and sometimes it can be hard to wash them out easily the following wash day.
Looks better than presentable. But the gel is humectant I believe. You really can opt out of that cream all together for more longevity. I think I’m going to pick up the shampoo and gel. I don’t use leavin except for maybe as a topper but I used to love the shampoo! Could be a cheaper alternative to my innersense moisture poo.
Thanks for the kind words and the tips! I’ll try a couple combos and see what works best for me. I think I prefer moisture over long lasting definition. I find that if my hair feels good I’m ok lol but this is hopefully the first wash and go of few (I won’t say many cuz I know I’m lazy but I can do more than once a year 😂)

The way I just tried some Treluxe products myself, this week I mean...we see each other👀😂😏 Can't wait to try the cream once my almond jai twisting butter jar is completely empty🤭 The shampoo and leave-in smell amazing, like freshly made tea and holiday cookies🎄. They feel great, but I wouldn't skip the deep conditioner the next time. I had to overcompensate for the lack of moisture with extra leave-in and gel. Still looks and feels good but not the usual softness and umpff that I'm used to. 🤔 Has anyone else tried the leave-in directly after the shampoo? I just know my hair and I agree on the fact, she needs to be DC'ed every wash day. Sorry for rambling🤭 Let me keep on watching for your beautiful results and full review❤
Haha we are clearly on the same page! The first time I used the products I didn’t use a specific deep conditioner (I just put my heating cap on for while and then just left the conditioner in and styled with the cream and serum. If you haven’t tried the leave in as a DC I would suggest trying it to see if it’s enough and then just leave it in and then once you add their cream on top that will amplify the moisture
You did a great job. I love the Treluxe products, but that gel is a no go for me. I've clarified, tried it with leave, alone and with the oil hack. I've gone through 2 jars so I know when to give up the ghost.

@@CurlsofaCPA Yep - crash wouldn't give up. More water less product usually does the trick. I couldn't even make it work on stripped down naked hair. Our chemistry just wasn't meshing🙂.

@@CurlsofaCPA it grew A HELL OF A LOT!!!! the trick to the WnG is you have to redo mid week, or as soon as it starts to dry (for me, thats every 3 days). But, who has time for that???? But if you don't, your hair will break. Twist outs, those you can keep in for a week if moisturized properly. Sometimes, I can rock them for longer. But I'm going to do a twist out challenge and see if I can get results like you. My hair has been the SAME length for monthsssss due to breakage.

I think it also helped that I was incorporating the ayurvedic products too!! but yes i agree about the wash and gos (when they get dry its time to wash again. for me its the tangles!) but you mentioned your hair being the same length and breakage....when was the last time you had a trim/cut?
@@CurlsofaCPA it's been a while 🙈. But I have a good excuse. I have been sick for almost a year, and it's been very bad over the last few months. My last trim was the beginning of November. I have an appt with my stylist in 2 weeks, though 🙂

I’m not ready to do this every week 😂 but definitely trying more so I can get better lol these products are in the $15-$20 range but not above $20. They are formulated pretty well and super clean and will last a while
I've been contemplating that same question. I think the cream is perfect in the fall and winter underneath the gel so I may go grab some during their sale.

when I said the back I meant the back sides (if that makes sense lol) I couldnt see the back of my head but the bottom of my hair that faces front still looked good to me lol

A hack from RUclipsr A Love 4 Me, she recommends to add some oil to prevent the gel from flaking.
Thats a good hack! Since this was my first time I didn't want to do too much but most def will try some oil next time
I really enjoy Treluxe products. Don't sleep on the serum I use it on edges for a bun, and also many times instead of the creme for WnG styling.
I really like the serum too! I used it after the gel flaked on me when I tried to use it for my slick back and it just feels so good and the shine!!!
