Who here thought--within 60 seconds of understanding that the bridegroom wanted to incorporate the Clemson colors into the wedding garments--that the solution was to go with purple but have tiny touches of orange in the accessories? For example, discreet earrings that had tiny orange and purple crystals? Or maybe purple bouquets with bits of orange (which they kind of went with in the end). Those were my very first thoughts when the bride asked for purple and orange. And of course, the groomsmen could have the Clemson ties, or purple or discreetly patterned purple-and-orange ties. For a wedding that I was in, the bride gave us a list of colors to choose from and let us pick our own dresses. As long as they were long and one of the five colors she chose, she was happy. It worked out really well. No one stuck out and everyone was happy and comfortable.
In my wedding, I had two preteens, a size 2 gal, a plus size queen, and a Mama about to give birth in my bridal party. They all wore the same shade, but all dresses were different so as to flatter the variety of ladies involved. It worked well.
I thought that the bridesmaids' dresses were supposed to be similar in style to the bride's outfit (e.g.: long if the bride is wearing a gown, or short if the bride's dress is short). At least, that's how it USED to be.
At my brother's wedding, the bride picked dresses that suited her tall/willowy sisters and looked terrible on my sister & me (short &, shall we say, not willowy), but we didn't question it. At my sister's wedding, she decreed "anything pastel" (from our closets) and it worked FINE.

The fierce loyalty to Clemson and University of South Carolina is beyond me.
It's like a way of life around here.
“purple doesn’t look good on me” *is wearing purple eyeshadow* bruh
“Purple doesn’t look good on me.”
Yet,she’s wearing purple eyeshadow. 😂
The woman who says they will only wear orange doesn’t need to be in the wedding
"Who gives a crap about Kevin??" When he said that I was like "THANK YOU!!!" Her sister is way too worried about her fiancé. She kept going on and on about how much she cared about her sister and her special day, and the fact she's like a mother to her, but then didn't care about what the bride (HER SISTER) wanted and only about what the future husband wanted... I could be totally wrong but maybe something else is going on
I rather have the mascot attend than have those colors as my wedding colors
have you seen the monstrosity that is the Clemson Tiger? The only Tiger mascot who should make appearances is Aubie (and I'm a Bama girl).
Go Tigers!!!! She could do orange and purple sand for the unity ceremony. Also having the Tiger at the reception is so much fun. The bride and groom come in with the Tiger with Tiger Rag playing. We had a ball at my niece’s wedding. Congratulations
I'm the oldest. I would NEVER treat my sister so disrespectfully.
I'm the oldest of six. God help me if I act like this. Love and control aren't the same thing.
HER EYESHADOW IS PURPLE WTF
Actually in my opinion, she should have used orange tiger lilies with a deep purple dress as a background
Sit down, letha, not your weddings
sit down letha. it is not your wedding. u r welcome
having the mascot show up would have 1000% been a better decision than going with ORANGE and PURPLE
I have purple and orange as my colors, but it's for a fall theme. They go together very well when done right.
It's probably an elegant, dark, burnt-orange with an eggplant, right? It will be beautiful, I love fall colors :) But purple-purple with traffic cone orange? Ew.
If you look up “Controlling” in the dictionary, you’ll see Letha’s picture.
“Orange doesn’t belong at a wedding” as they pull out multiple orange bridesmaids dresses lmao
A nice pale lilac with a bright almost clementine-coral red-orange is one of my favorite combinations, actually. Sparing with the orange and combined with black and something just off from white, I think it can be stunningly unique. Never a dark purple or true orange, though!!
It looks like hers sister has more feeling for kevin then she should
I have always supported brides listening to what the bridesmaids want...on the style and fit. The colour and length should be entirely up to the bride and groom.
Says purple doesn't work on her but has purple eyeshadow on... 🤔🤣
Will they please stop putting tulip hem skirts that are so short they're almost obscene on that poor bridesmaid?
