Well the 767-400 Cockpit basically looks almost identical to the 777 Cockpit, that´s why CS released the -400, so they could just copy and Paste their 777 cockpit.
Don´t expect a 767-300/757 like cockpit

For all that are saying the 767-400ER has the exact same cockpit as the 777, that’s not entirely true. Yes, the cockpits are indeed similar, but the 767-400ER has the older overhead panel, yokes, FMC, standby instruments, MCP (autopilot panel), and center pedestal, as well as a few other minor but noticeable differences. And also, Captain Sim used the default Asobo 747-8i systems for integration here… and it is very blatantly obvious. Just like their hashed-together 777. The external model is the only good thing about this - the rest is just an abject cash grab.
It also doesn't have the cursor control device that the 777 has. In many ways, the 767-400 is more similar to the 777 than the 767-200/300, but it is a 767 nonetheless. This captain sim 767 is just hot garbage.
To be honest, if they did the cockpit correctly and maybe improve the flight physics a bit this would have been so much better. In other words, the outside model is the only good thing about this.
Yea the 767 is good, they only need to work on cockpit, physics, sounds, systems, price, realism...
They didn't even use feedback. Captain Sim turned from one of the best aviation addon companies to one of the worst, if not the worst.

how you can bassicly get cs 767 with only buying 777:
1. buy cs 777
2. get freeware 767 for msfs 2020
3. change the exterior model for the cs 777 with the freeware 767
4. enjoy your slightly pixelated 767 with a cs 777 cockpit
The 767-400ER which is the plane you are flying in has a very similar cockpit to the 777 because the 767-400ER was realised around the same time the 777 was realised. The 767-400ER has a different cockpit then the older 200 and 300 variant.

@@daviigaming6424 no its not! the 777 actually has a 767 cockpit. They literally share the same section 42 fuselage sub assembly which include the cockpit area. Boeing developed adapters to adjust it to the rest of the 777 fuselage diameter. The 767-400 and 777 have almost identical instrument panels. swiss used the wrong picture example, he showed a 767-200/300 which also shares a cockpit with the 757. Pilots rated for the 757 can fly the 767 and vise versa

@Swiss001, can you play geo-fs again? In the "aircraft" tab, if you press the button on top that says "Community Contributed". If you press that, there are a lot more airplanes that you can fly.

I am a modder for another kind of games and I disagree with Captain Sim on its sales policy. An important part of my works that I sell includes historical research and the care of realism. Customers also pay for this, to have a realistic mod. I find unprofessional to sell a model that is only nice from the outside but inside is a jumble of pieces taken here and there from other aircrafts. I could do it too, I have many new models that I could launch, but I would never dream of selling them until are not completed first. Unfortunately in this and in other simulators I am noticing a lot of speculation by some modders who charge anything they have often with very bad quality products just because someone is going to buy anyway because of the large number of users. Customers will pay, yes, but they are not stupid, they get fooled the first time maybe, and then they don't fall for it anymore, but in the meanwhile you have lost your credibility as a modder.

@@pakistanball1432 You like that idea? Or are you saying the process to design a plane for Flight Gear is the same as MSFS-2020. I am guessing both simulators use a 3D model imported from say Blender or Solid Works.

And that's why I got it on sale. I would never pay full-price for CaptainSim until they make MAJOR changes.
That said, the 767-400 is lacking in the markets in general.
Which would be crafting it THEMSELVES, rather than stealing it from Asobo's 747-8.. It makes it better by crafting it to have a more realistic mod that's going to get credit and good reviews.
PMDG is making an excellent effort to bring quality content to MSFS, while Captain Sim is lacking in this part.
This is why I am sticking to my legacy sims, FSX, P3D, and X-Plane 11, just because there is not much for MSFS at the moment in terms of nice payware aircraft, and also because I have invested a lot of time and money into these sims in aircraft, scenery and other addons which I cannot afford to give up just yet. I do fly MSFS 2020 from time to time for the gorgeous scenery that no other simulator can beet to date. It is good for VFR.
what FS2020 gives is the realism for you to travel and see things as seen in the real life, for example New York City and other important cities or places in the world. Then, if you want realism for airplanes, you have to install community MODs which make the planes 99% realistic. For example the CJ4 Working Title MOD or the Cessna Citation MOD for the premium game. There are also very realistic MODs for other airplanes. The only thing missing in FS2020, are more airplanes with MODs, everything else, FS2020 is much better,
Have your eyes peeled for the Fenix A320, that one seems to be a beast of an add on, price not yet revealed but from the amount of stuff they have teased to date, it damn well will be a beast, back when I flew in FSX, I used Aerosofts A320/321 Professional, and those were good enough for me, really nice simulations of them. The standard A320neo in MSFS is pretty meh, but the freeware flybywire sim one is very nice and much further advanced to the standard one!
@@m_swizzy22 One of the best things about the new Microsoft Flight Simulator is we dont have to spend money on scenery anymore since it is already photorealistic. And the added bonus of add-ons like the flybywire a320. I cannot wait for the a380! Yes, the included aircraft are to be desired. X-Plane & P3D are better in terms of the included craft if all to care is the systems and not the visuals.

I’m so glad you did this. I used to be big in the FS2004 community and it was so annoying how reviewers used to lick the bag of add on developers even when they were shit models. It pissed me off you could spend $60 on a CLS A340-500 and it had a cockpit that was skanked from a freeware developer, had no FMS/MCDU, or anything. Waste of money. Most add on developers are aasholes who are trying to make some fast money because there is no return policy.
Screw them. PMDG is so much better (also others making SUPER realistic mods like IniBuilds, Fenix, Asobo.)

tbh the Boeing 767 is pretty much my favorite plane ever but this addon seems pretty disappointed
If you want something study level then buy the FF B767 from Flight Factor for X-Plane 11. Very realistic and FPS friendly too
I think the captain sim 767 from P3D looks very great as well (back when they were amazing at it)

Honestly, I think they just reused their FSX/P3D 777 and 767 external models and did some minor adjustments to the cockpit to get the 747 instruments.
oh and the glass cockpit that you were showing at 4:34 is the 757, orr at least that is what i have seen in the 75... but the 2 planes are fairly identical in the cockpit the glare wings and a few other differences, they are subtle though

7:34, actually theoretically a 767 pilot can legally fly the 777, 757, & 787 families the next day if they wanted to. These are the qualifications you get with a 787 qualification though. Not sure about the 777 one or anything else in the list.
757/767 is one type rating and 777/787 is another type rating. 757/767 pilots can not just fly a 777 or 787 and vice versa.
I mean they can’t fly it right after flying the other type but on there license it says rated to fly 787 777 767 and the 757

Captain Sim, is very disappointing on Xbox, like the 777 are not even what is advertised, the aircraft cannot Climb to cruise without banking, another thing is that CaptainSim doesn’t even update the planes, instead let them worsen each update.

Yeah, in addition to the cockpit being 777 like, looking over and not seeing the P6/P61 panels and not in a 767 frame is just a bit sad. But the externals are literal perfection. I flew on a 400 two days before this came out lol.

What's even worst is the Boeing 757-200 with the SAVA (Southern Airlines VA) livery, i downloaded from Flyawaysimulations and it was the worst plane i ever flew, although, i also do not know how to put in instruments so the plane screens wouldn't go black, because this happened when i tried flying the Israel airlines and SAVA boeing 757 package in fsx

Nope, they no give a shit. Most of their models are ported from game engine to game engine. Some of the 777 cockpit textures and shading feel like they are out of FSX etc. They invested most of their money years ago. Now its about maximizing profit. Problem is that at the moment, if you want a semi decent 777 or 767 experience, CS are the only game in town.

It’s the 767-400ER more modern than the older 767 cockpits, it’s largely integrated into the 777, I think it looks good

Your wrong about the cockpit, the 767-400 is the first 767 to come with a glass cockpit from the factory. The cockpit was nearly identical to the 777 cockpit as they were released around the same time.

Lol, the CS 777-300ER features the interior model of their 777-200ER. How do I know? With catering service going I didnt see it from the open aft door... and the aft door was obviously inline with the-300ER wing. For $18 bucks with the Salty mod, its passable for a casual sim experience. But as soon as PMDG releases their MSFS 777 suite, the Captain Sim -300ER and -F get the boot.

I honestly like this plane, because I’m not being scammed for 70 bucks. It’s still pretty detailed on the outside, and it doesn’t really matter because you can still fly and use the cockpit. Plus, it was for sale for I think 13 bucks
