To me they are the gold-standard for other microbrands. Hands down the most comfortable watch I own that trumps over my Omegas and Tudors in terms of wearability.
I also love the sealander watches and this one in particular. I never thought much about the orange color being used on the text GMT rather than on the water resistance but now that you mentioned it that totally makes sense and it's kind of a shame they didn't do it. When a watch is this good it's easy to imagine a few tweaks to make it perfect and I do really think they got most things right on this one. Thanks for the review and interesting thoughts.
I could go either way on the colour of the lettering, and your point is well made. I would note that the visual contrast is better for black-on-white than for orange-on-white. I do really like the orange colour on the GMT hand though. I have a Steinhart Batman homage GMT that I love for its quality and bang-for-the buck value, but I find myself searching to find the GMT hand. The blue shaft and triangular white pointer blend in too well with the other hands and the watch face itself.
I have the hombre green version on my wrist right now. I have the bracelet, tan leather strap, and black rubber hybrid strap for it. By no one’s measure is it my coolest watch. By no one’s measure is it my best watch. However, it gets the most wrist time of all of them. Thereby, maybe making it my favorite watch…
I’ve got the black one I must say it is nice but kinda wish I waited for the new logo, it looks better. It does look a little chunky despite not really being thick.
Great review of a great looking watch! And very smart and insightful constructive criticisms. (Thought you might appreciate the point that, in English, you can't really say "shy over" to mean just over -- we only use that expression for "shy of," meaning just under, as shy suggests not showing. Very minor point!)
This is a beautiful watch through and through. Still, I'd have loved it even more if its beating heart were the SH21, if the bezel were a tad thicker, and if the 3 and 6 hour markers stood out a little more, to break the dial up a little and make reading time at a glance much easier as well. Nevertheless, this is a beauty worth holding.
Zelos don't use the same supplier for the clasp. Zelos reverse engineered the Christopher Ward clasp and called it their own. The quality of the Zelos clasp is no where near as refined as the Christopher Ward's.
You should have a look at the Mido Ocean Star GMT, I bought one about 8 months ago for just under 1000usd. I have never seen a Christopher Ward in person but I can tell you that Mido GMT is extraordinarily good value for money, it's an excellent watch.
They did a great job, such a nice looking watch. I'd like their logo to go to a big C with a small w inside of it. Their current logo reminds me of kindergarten figure games.
Is the metal parts on the dial a darkened steel type colour? Would be better and make me buy tbe watch if so, not if was a typical metal colour Reminiscent of the black paint on the explorer 2 and how the black perfects the contrast on the dial
At 2:17, between 3:05 and 3:17, and again at 7:37 one can see that the GMT hand appears quite misaligned 😳 Thanks for the great review as always. Fully agree with the suggestion about the use of orange in the dial. Don't think the thickness is an issue. I'd also like them to get rid of the brushed groove across the hands, as they have actually done in the new Aquitaine GMT design, which is great but they managed to ruin it anyway by using a 12-hour bezel where it should have been a 24-hour one 🤦♂️
Love your reviews! Do you prefer thos c63 gmt to the orca black c65 aquitane gmt? Both are so beautiful in their own ways so would love to hear your comparison feedback between the two
I was/am looking at the green variant of the C63 Sealander GMT and now that they've increased the prices by more than 100 euros, I am pissed that I haven't got one when they were cheaper :)). Oh well, maybe I'll just keep my C60 Sapphire Black and that's that :). PS: so far I don't have a really good experience with the SW200-1 from the C60 in terms of accuracy, as it's gaining 13-14s/day since day one and I can't send it back to UK since Sellita actually considers this performance within specs (0-20s/day variation).
Is a cool watch !But what you say about it is true in every detail ! ps: I whant you to to make a review on our Romanian microbrand of watches ( " DAPIX " ) especialy to the diver " DAPIX Hebros " ! I also own this watch and i think is so ool for the price to ! (safire cryustal, solid bracellet, 300 meters wather resistent, ceramic bezel (like Rolex submariner) ! And also is not a hommage to the Rolex Submariner, but is original in design ! ;) If you whanna make this review i will be proud ! Awsoome watch for 300 $ watch !(nh-35 Seiko mouvement with hacking and hand-winding)
I don't find them very original and they may look like they match the price, but there are SO many much more interesting brands. And the name. Sounds like a skin lotion brand, or men's shoes😆 AND I find it suspicious that ALL the comments are hysterically excited....

I like your comment about the bezel size vs the case size. Changing the proportions would make the watch look slimmer and less "top heavy"
Own this in green. It's a great watch. Perfect size for me. Awesome.
Absolutely LOVE CW watches ... if only my budget loved it too 😞
Thanks for sharing and, once again, congratz on your 110K Subs! 👏🏼😃

This one looks great, I'm planning to buy it in addition to my C60 gen3.

Love this watch. Very clean looking. 🤘

How do you know this?

I took a look at the Mido and it's a beautiful watch. It's just a tad bit large for a lot of wrists.
I Have one and it is indeed a spectacular piece. 👍🏻
Stunning watch and very well priced 👍🏻

The Date doesn't look centered in your sample.

would've liked to hear your opinion about the lume and how accurate it has been for you.
Christopher Ward cases are much much nicer than i.e. Tudor´s.
I Agree With Your Opinion..... Yep.
very very nice watch

Wearing this watch on bracelet is my choice, the leather strap is fantastic and easy to break in.
That lug to lug number is incorrect.
Great video

If you're not aware, they regularly send out $125 vouchers to people on their email list.
@@anscomber8031 I know about those. Now you enssentially pay the prices from before with one voucher 😀. Yeah, everything is more expensive...
Just give it to watchmaker to adjust
Such a beauty and you’re nitpicking 🤐
Great review as usual. I was very intrigued at first, then I was reminded of the silly pitch fork Christopher uses :/

Christopher ward c63 sealander watch is of very high standards

At the end of the day its just a cheap Rolex copy no matter how you try to convince yourself it's not.
