I’m sure you guys are sick of hearing this, but deal with it… YOU ARE INCREDIBLE!!!! My girls and I are doing our first Multi-day trip in Yosemite this summer and your vlogs are required watching! Look out behind you for Halo, Chief and Q.C. I think you all would have a good time together. They’re my other they hiker obsession (HRC on the PCT on RUclips) I can’t wait to see your next update!
On a clear day at castle crags you can see three different clearly distinct geologic zones, the volcanic zone of Shasta (about 500,000 yrs old) the castle crags granite (150 million years old) and the Klamath range to the west that is made of mostly greenstone (500 million years) beautiful part of the world. And don’t be shocked if you see cattle grazing along the trail. Be glad you are going through there this tome of year to avoid fire season which keeps starting earlier and earlier every year and lasting longer. Used to be sept/oct now it’s aug-dec
You came thru that with perfect weather for all of that elevation gain. It will not be so much fun in the coming heatwave for those behind you. I think that the flip-flop is the best way to do this trail. Thank you for taking us along. Happy Trails.

I've been out on a two week retirement road trip into MD,WV and Va with my dog Maddie. Able to hike on C @ O canal and the AT and finally experience some total peace and relaxation. @@mchlshntn wiapio is so gorgeous and my neck of the woods for sure....Honokaa/ Paauilo Mauka. Even trained a little on that road out of wiapio. (2nd steepest paved road in the world I hear) Breathtaking beauty there. Enjoy! Tanks and shaka ;)

As an older guy (76) walker - not hiker - many of the videos I watch there is much discussion about reducing the weight of the pack. Your packs look like they must be very heavy. How about this? How much concern do you have for pack weight (not including water)? I so admire you and the walking Rev keep on trucking!

Parts of this reminds me of Section 16 and CMSP. I have lived in CS for 7 years. The hiking groups I have found so far either do not hike far enough or go too fast and don't bother to wait for me to catch up.
