I just love watching you ladies! Your videos have just the right balance of scenery, trail & hiking data, music, and narration! Your progress continues to impress and inspire.🌻💛
Your videos are a wonderful reminder of fun to be had and beauty to be seen ~ amazed at how much work it must be to hike AND edit post etc. TY ❤ and keep truckin' xo.
Absolutely LOVE Crater Lake! We were watching the video yesterday. I told my daughter that we will have to hike the Rim Trail. My daughter was excited to see Rim Village. She said, "We were there!"
You just added Crater Lake to my must see National Parks. Although living 40 miles from the Smokies (which I haven't hiked all 900 miles yet), I haven't gotten enough of in the 2 years we've lived here.
Hiker once told me you can lose mosquitoes at 3.3 mph. Can’t hike that fast so I won’t ever know. Only 188 miles left on my AT journey. Enjoy seeing where you guys are during my breaks.
you Wawo's rock. Way to go grrrls I hope one day to run into you in person. Greetings from Vancouver BC Canada. Yeah you are heading my way- Manning Park Sheila
I thoroughly enjoyed this video ! Crater Lake is definitely on my list of places to go, I’ve always wanted to go, and will 🥰. I appreciate Soooo Much….the fact that y’all take the time to share your adventures with us. It’s a highlight of my week and makes me happy! Also, thank you for posting the dates on your videos! New subscriber here. My wife and I were at Crater Lake about a week before you filmed this. In fact we did trail magic at the spot you show @ 13:40, sorry we missed you. Looking forward to following along on the rest of your journey.
Crater Lake is a national treasure and you captured it so well. Have been there several times and always look forward to returning. Congratulations on 500 miles ! Oh, those mosquitos are so annoying - and to think the nets brought out your youthful beauty - so hilarious ! Thinking about where you might be everyday and so excited to see your progress ! Hugs from your Oregon Buddy !
LOVE the song again at 15:37. Maybe your heads are still boiling from the heat, to know, but would LOVE to know what song that is some day. Beautiful picture of Annett in the heavenly beam of light at 16:30 "Gotta Fly" is my trail name.
Thank you so much for doing so much recording of the hike around Crater lake! Every time I have seen it it has been on fire yrs and haven’t had a chance to see how stunning it really is till now!
Love Crater Lake. My son cross country skied around the lake in February about 5 years ago. By himself. Big snow pack then. Took him 3 days. Lovely place in the summer. Love your videos. Safe travels.
Love you videos. Hoping to Backpack Liberty Springs and Franconia Ridge next week and feeling trepidation. Watching you guys gives me inspiration and power.
Wow Crater Lake is awesome. It's one of the locations that me and my husband want to hike. It's just so beautiful there. I'm glad that you 3 are doing so well. Take care out there.
Nice section! I just came back from JMT/PCT - Reds Meadow! Hiker Box is stuffed. 104F at Upper Crater Meadow. PCTers were looking pretty ragged. Be safe in this heat.
Loved this video and love you all!! We're full time in our camper now and on the west coast. There's so many times we've wanted to go be your trail angels but didn't know how to make it happen!! You guys are doing amazing in this heat especially. Keep going and never quit😘
We're slowly catching up on all your videos but we're always wondering about each of your back stories, what you did when working, personal and family backgrounds, how all of you got into backpacking, your backpacks, the gear that works for you, things like that . . . Crater Lake. We've been once. Coldest sleep we've ever had; Gorgeous area. Loving the videos Kristy.
My daughter, grandson and I stayed in a motel room, got up very early in the morning to catch the boat, and hiked to the top of Wizard Island in 2012. He was 6 and scampered to the top like a little goat. By the end of the day we were dragging but he was still full of energy.
You ladies are awesome. So enjoy your videos. Boy do I remember that section of trail. Love the views of Crater Lake. Your very last photo is the best. Just unbelievable. I detoured to Maudlin Lake to get water also but camped there as well. No trail angel water for me way back in the day. Love your journey and the wonderful presentation of it. The very best to you ladies!
Ladies! You are getting closer to sisters area. I will be in that area this coming weekend (9th thru 11th). If need anything, I am happy to help if I can. I may try to see if can do some trail magic.
I love the light in your videos, especially on the early morning hikes. And some of that water you are drinking just LOOKS delicious. Are you seeing any other wildlife than the mosquitos?
Well ... another great video from you three. Love your use and choice of music too. Curious ... I'm assuming your sprayed your clothes with permethrin ... did it help at all? Also, what's the max amount of water you were carrying at any one time? I remember hauling up to 6.5 liters on the Hat Creek Rim. From the way you're describing Oregon ... am wondering if it might be similar. Anyway ... congrats ... you seem to be making (and having a) GREAT time!
I love that rim trail was there a few years ago. Love the anti aging bug nets I think I should pick one of those up for myself LOL. BTW Stansky says to say that he wished he could fly across country to offer you guys trail support. I wish I could as well!
Beautiful Crater Lake. Is it still so hot? Glad there's a lot of water along the way. The camping sites look really nice. We were hiking in the woods on the 4th and the bug were bad here. We just used spray so no benefit from the anti aging nets. On the 4th of July we were blessed with our 1st great-grandchild, a girl. Take care, be safe.
I would probably say the PCT. Hoever, The Appalachian Trail is hard but you have more support and less days between resupply. All three trails are hard in different ways.
Really nice hike! Thanks for sharing 👍
I just love watching you ladies! Your videos have just the right balance of scenery, trail & hiking data, music, and narration! Your progress continues to impress and inspire.🌻💛

Absolutely LOVE Crater Lake! We were watching the video yesterday. I told my daughter that we will have to hike the Rim Trail. My daughter was excited to see Rim Village. She said, "We were there!"
Hike the Rim Trail and camp at Lightning Spring next time -- such a sweet spot and close to the visitors center. (You need to get a permit).
Looks like a nice detour! 😁 500 miles already! Well done! Thank God for those water caches! 😁 All the best! Kaat
Awesome! Amazing that you are able to film, edit, and upload while on the trail. But I sure am glad you do because I enjoy following along so much!
Just the sheer size of the lake still amazes! Beautiful. Congrats on 500. You're probably closing in on 600 now.
You just added Crater Lake to my must see National Parks. Although living 40 miles from the Smokies (which I haven't hiked all 900 miles yet), I haven't gotten enough of in the 2 years we've lived here.

Glad to see the feral cats haven't become so wild that they've abandoned underwear yet!
Feral enough to dry them out in the open or hang them off our packs :)
Beautiful stretch of trail. Congrats on 500 miles. Big shout out to those that maintain those water caches . Keep pushing northbound!
We will definitely hike crater lake rim in 2 weeks. Thanks for the lovely scenery and information about it.

Found the Hoka hiking shoes at REI. like them as they have an excellent return policy. Husband always got his climbing gear there.

We were at Crater Lake couple years ago 4th of July snow everywhere and chilly.
Congratulations on 500 miles! I am loving your journey. Wish I had some fun gals to hike with...
Fun gals are out there --

Incredible scenery. There's not many mosquitos here but I'm thinking about a full length net for the anti aging properties.
Lol

Having nearly completed the triple crown, which trek would you recommend one doing first?
I would probably say the PCT. Hoever, The Appalachian Trail is hard but you have more support and less days between resupply. All three trails are hard in different ways.

We have gone in a couple of lakes to cool off.
