One more thing to consider is that when we try to reach the top speed, a considerable portion of our concentration will be on the speedometer......not having complete concentration on the road at that speed for that amount of time is suicide....

Obviously youtubers r doing it for views and subscribers. Otherwise... Indian conditions r not good for riding above 120km/hr (highways)

I saw so many RUclips videos of Aprilia RS 457 reaching 190-200 km/h on a long stretch. It Rapidly reaches 0-160 km/h. After 160 km/h acceleration Slows down. And also i think 200 km/h on the speedo means true gps Topspeed is around 185+ km/h.

I own an ApriliaRS457 havnt gone more than 100kmph on it. I want you guys to do a Podcast on what is the correct way to do a Proper Engine Breaking or Running In period. what to do and what Not to do In the first 1000kms on a Bike.

Vikas - I would say I being an KTM RC390 Gen 2 owner - 150kmph to 160kmph is butter smooth, but post that to cross 170kmph to 178kmph, it takes a lot of risk, calculations, space, angle , road curves , so at those speeds doing such calculations is extremely tough and risky, one needs lot of skills and practice, newer riders buying bikes seeing top speed does lack the soft skills and brains, hence meet fatal accidents. And you are absolutely right about 650s and 900s or Litre Class Bikes can easily touch those speeds and come down because of top notch brakes which cant be done on 400cc bikes,

Hahaha so very well said man, this is exactly what even I had in mind when buying my bike too. Who cares if the bike goes 160, give me a bike that goes 0-100 quick and I'm more than happy 😂 I hate it when someone keeps on pushing the top speed like who cares bro, I'm in to enjoy my bike goes 0-70-90 quick and its good enough for me it comes back down fast enough. Maybe if I see a clear road push it a bit and back down no point in crusing at 140s in our country gotta go Autobahn for that🤣

I hope all the new riders see this video. From a gen 1 D390 owner, i'm telling you this guy is spitting facts. always stay in the safe speed zone on your motorcycle (for me it has always been quick accelerations to 120-130 and down, that's it). and i'm talking about curvy roads. if you want to go fast on a straight line, buy a 600cc or more for sure. But if you want to be a better rider, forget top speeds and learn how to carry smooth speeds in and around corners.

First, the person need to check at what speed need to ride, then need to select the bhp, then finally select the engine type (long stroke for cruising & short stroke for fun).
For example, 40 bhp has top speeds of around 140-150 kmph.
Now, if only top speed is concern, then better to go with short stroke engine.
Below is the order of stroke size:
    Ninja 300 < Duke 390 < Triumph Speed 400 < Himalayan 450
But if you compare the bore size, all will have almost same size.
Due to stroke, the cc is changed.

This is a topic which has bugged me for years. No youtuber has spoken about this until you. The 400-500cc bike doing 150kph does not simply has the breaking power to stop the bike in a short time. This is something one has to consider before doing such speeds on indian roads. On 600cc and above the breaks are made in such a way that these are very normal speeds for the brakes to tackle. In case of the aprilia the bike actually does 170 kph very fast. Its post that where it takes a long time although much less time than r3 and other twins.

Just keep in mind, any motorcycle you will have considerably less control on its peak performance either its a R15 @150+ or a RS457 @200 if you want to experience this just try rev your motorcycle to peak in 1st gear and try to apply the brakes you will know the truth 😅(but please don't try this 🙏)

Also on a Aprilia you will have to push the bikes to the bikes ultimate to reach 200 which is not the stable part of the bike. But that's not the case on a 600
