The fact that you buy these machines and love the craft, i subbed. I also play with the thought of getting more vintage machines myself. I just got a 2500 the other day.
Nice collection of MPC's. I've been close, but nowhere near where you are. The last 60II that I had, I sent it out to Bruce Forat in LA, new pots, screen, pads, 3.10, and a +3 booster for the main outputs. She was a banger for sure.
Thanks! I want to replace the top cover. I got the rust with CLR, but I can't figure out how to update the paint without painting the entire top cover. I may send it out to be refurbished.
As an IT guy, I suspect the MPC60 samples at 16 bit, then uses a companding algorithm (they use similar stuff for telephones) to get slightly more than 12 bits of information in 12 bits.
@@ppic7162 Looks like they aren't actually selling for those crazy prices. Only sold ones are down near the og 3k. I bought my le a year or two ago for 4k CAD.
Chopping by numbers instead of waveforms forces you to use your ears instead of just your eyes. So, it's not a bad thing at all. My first sampler was an E-MU ESI2000 rack and it doesn't have waveform editing either. You trim samples and set loop points by numbers while using your ears.
@@ppic7162 That's EXACTLY what I said starting out.... Fast forward, my list & credit card have had their own agenda from the start! I'm just the last one to find out....!
If you don't have that s900/950 that 60 you love so much stands with the plastic one. 60ii for life with the s900. My weapon of choice 😊

Thanks! Enjoy the 2500. The 1000 is my go to right now.

Some weird mix of ECC with Metadata would allow for virtual bits.
Great collection - still need the 3kLE and the beige 2kxl!
Thanks! The price on the LE is crazy. I would have to sell 3 MPCs to get that.

Mk1 def most beautiful.
This channel is gold thanks for putting this out!
Thanks Bro! I really appreciate it.
The 60ii looks a lot better imo. Plastic is strong and not flimsy from what I’ve used. As long as you take care of your gear they will last.
No way! The Mk1 is well built, the MK2 is great also, but not as nice as the MK1.
Could never look better..😂😂😂 mk1 is a rolls royce

Do a midi dump,. It's a feature that no one uses, it's in all of the older mpc. To me it's better than sampling just use midi cables and you're done.
We talked about this. No more MPC’s 😂😂😂. Great collection
Ha! No more. I'm done for now. I've been looking at the Isla 2400 for Father's Day. Fingers crossed.
@@ppic7162puts phone down, picks up laptop…. Opens reverb…..
Don't do it....!
No matter now hard you try to fight it, you're just an NPC coded to buy all the MPCs. And it's ok. LOL
Ha! Yeah, I can't help myself at this point. I have to stop looking on Reverb and Ebay at night after I take an edible.
I like the mk1 better
Me too! So many people think the MK2 is better.
I have the mpc renaissance
Are you selling that 1000?
Bro, you can’t do your comparison without all the rack units. Better get that credit card out.
No rack units for me. I don't have the room and I don't want to hook up different midi devices to sequence beat.
