Hello Dr, one more query Can Abhayarab rabies vaccine be injected at 45 degree with 1 inch needle to a man who is around 65 kg ? Or it should be only at 90 degree angle what if it is injected at 45 but not 90
It's better to consult a human doctor for that. As a veterinarian I wouldn't be able to answer that.

Sir.... At first a cat scratched me.. Then I completed the full course of vaccine... After 4months the same cat scratched me n I took 2 dose of vaccine... Then after 2months a street dog scratched me.... Now I have to take vaccine?

If the bite was an accident then don't worry. Just observe him for 20 to 25 days

I got myself vaccinated about 6months ago....after 6 months my puppy that is 3 and half months old n she is also vaccinated but she sometimes used to play with a cat that is not vaccinated should I get injection as I got just a little bite and scratch while she was playing with me...n yes I saw a little bit blood in my leg n scratch.

If you got the scratch while playing with your pet, then you dont have to worry about rabies.

Hi doc. My one year pet German shepherd has bitten me accidentally while feeding chicken bone. Got little blood. I amm little worried whether I should go consult a doctor or not. All vaccinations has been done for the dog when it was a pup.
Then also you should take Anti rabies vaccinations and observe your pet for 20 days.
@@PupkittPetCare I went to hospital and they have given me TT only. Not an anti rabies injection. Should i need to be consulted again.?
Better to get yourself vaccinated, although chances of infection are very less.
I was vaccinated around 3-4 months before and i was feeding water to my street puppy of 3 months and accidentally its sharp teeth get dotted on my finger and the wound is invisible like needle point ..i had no pain too and a little drop of blood came.... And i have taken tetanus... Is there any thing to worried?
No, dont worry. You are already vaccinated for rabies.

My age 30 yrs. On 5 October 2020 a mad street dog bite me below the knee muscle from back side over the jeans pant.. Wound is of category 3 type with 4 bleeding sites.. I haven't wash the wound & banded it due to lack of knowledge for 24 hrs.. I have taken the immunoglobulin unfortunately after 60 hrs of bite.. I have taken the ARV of day 0,3,7 intra muscular on 6,9 & 13 October.My government hospital called me for next & last dose on day 21.In this way they will give me only 4 doses of ARV IM. But on the internet many report suggest for 5 doses of ARV, IM..
1.What should i do now??
2.Should i go to another hospital to take day 14 & day 28 doses? & skip the scheduled day 21 dose of this hospital? Or should i go for 4 doses as hospital norms?
3.Vaccination from different hospital may affect the effectiveness of vaccination?

Firstly go for 14th and 28th dose. Secondly don't worry about the effectiveness, every ARV is the same.

Mera ps ek puppy hai jo 2.5 months ka hai, use abhi tk koi rabies shot nahi laga and uske sath khelte hue usne mujhe 4-5 br scratch mare hai and ekad br negligible blood nikla hoga. Jb vo 13 days ka tha, tb use lekar aaye the.
To kya precaution ke liye rabies vaccination ki jarurat hai?? Last time i got vaccinated 7 months before.

Just observe your pet for 15 to 20 days, if he behaved normal then you dont have to worry.

1. Your pup is not of 3 months.
2. You got the scratches while playing
3. You are already vaccinated (although 3 injections are required if you did the last vaccination, within a year)

No you dont have to vaccinate again for the dog bite but you need to complete your vaccination schedule for the cat scratch.

Dont worry about it. Pups usually give us scratch during the play time. you dont need to worry

You need not to cancel the plan. Having a 4 pawed friend is a blessing. Who will be by your side no matter what! Talking about anti rabies vaccinations, it is always advisable to get yourself vaccinated if you are planning to get a dog. As its not just about the pet dog but also for the stray dogs.

Observe your pet for 14 days... If you find anything different from his routine nature .... then you will have to take more injections..... if you feel that he is behaving normal then dont worry about rabies....

They only get infected from other infected animals.

Dr..I take 3 shots that are on day 0,3 and 7.. because of dog bite and I was not vaccinated before..So..how much day now this shots will provide immunity to me..!
And puppy was of 60 days..!
Take an another shot at 21 days then you will be immune for 1 to 3 years. (Depending on your immunity)
But doctor today is 27th day
