I am glad that it is finally remastered on Steam global. Although I really have to say, Nasu and the rest of Typemoon staff really don't know how to market their products well. Personally I would have loved a Fate Stay Night remake like Mahoyo and Tsukihime, but Nasu is busy with games, Tsukihime Remake and FGO.
dont forget extra records that by the words of Kazuya Nino seems to have grown beyond their original plan of just sticking to the original way of the story(likely more story content or alternate routes being more different) which would require Nasu to check on it to go right or even write some of the new stuff himself
Mahoyo was the same as fate is - HD remastered with no new assets

I bought a copy of realta nua on the vita sometim around 2014 or 2016, and Google translate was piss shit at the time, so I had to guess, and relearn my extremely limited japanese from 6 to 5 years prior after being out of high school since 2011.
Never again on that, I did love it though, but boy oh boy, did I want to pound my head into a wall of a knowledge and learn the language out of spite.
Wow, that's cool. How was it? I have a feeling it must have a lot of outdated vocabulary and terminology, but really, how bad is the Japanese in it?
@@victoriamarfina9819it wasn't fun having to rewrite entire sentences, and piece them together. it wasn't entirely bad, just bad grammar structure and the like, and too literal of translations.
It was a headache more on having to write so much to get an idea of what is being said. Though I will say it helped me learning to proof read a lot.
Fate strange fake 🤔 this year
I heard some rummors on Twitter it might be around the summer but dunno if that true or not.
Honestly I hope that when the FSN Remaster comes out, it has a modern feel akin to modern Type-MOON arts. Heck I’m still hoping for a FSN Remake to follow up Tsukihime Remake!
tsukihime remake isnt finished though they still have to do the far side routs and to be honest i would much rather prefer having them work again on Mahoyo to finally do their sequels than the billionth remake in the decade(its all remakes in the entertainement industry rather than making actual new things...)
FSN wasn't the only vn to cut its eroge content when it ported over to the PS2. School Days also did the same when it ported over to the PS2 called LxH. But years later, when School Days released the HQ version, they brought back the eroge content.
the difference though is that typemoon hasnt ever done them ever again since 2005.
for them it was mostly for the extra sales(yeah nasu did try to make them fit naturally but from the start the idea was always for the extra sales). They just dont need them anymore and became more comfortable to writte stuff without them.

Same, but the Tsukihime remake took 10 years, I don't think they have the time to remaster the visuals for a 2024 release date if this project is out of the blue.

Nah they have time, It's jut it's a remaster. Not a remake like Tsukihime Blue Glass.
After all, there are other artist now. Nevermind multiple people have drawn these characters from anime, manga, VN's and so on.
Honestly though most people forget how busy Japanese media creators actually are. See all the manga artist that die young cause of shit work/life balance and deadlines. See that Takeuchi also does managerial work not just for F/GO but other projects and also still has to make money with other smaller projects like how he did the Valkyrie project that fell through.
Things can also just be out right cancelled without us knowing.
Type-Moon maxed out it's charisma stat wtf, who in hell would buy a $60 visual novel? That's unheard of in the western gaming sphere and would've been the butt of a joke even back then.
Danganrompa, Ace Attorney and so on. Just have to trick Americans.
Nevermind what you were actually buying wasn't just the VN but Tsiah said also a 100 page artbook, a leather embossed cover and the backing of Tsukihime.
It's actually pretty reasonable for a small time indie company to ask that much for what you got.
Especially since nowadays VN's also have those special editions hat is where they get the real money.

Seeing Illya on the first cover back in 2004, her along with Saber and Sakura, are supposed to be the main three heroines in the visual story. While UBW is supposed to be the Shirou route, which should have been a separate story alternate universe.
The original Fate Stay Night visual novel was supposed to have four routes. Three are Saber, Illya, and Sakura in one game disc, and the other one UBW is a separate side story route on Shirou Emiya..
Honestly it would be nice to see the cut routes.
Kinda blows me away they aren't including hollow ataraxia in this new remaster.

That's relatively easy, download the iso, go to the iwakura page, download the patcher, execute it, select the options you want and that's it, the old iso gets deleted and the patched one is ready to be played, a channel called Ten made a tutorial

I’m so looking foward to the new remaster coming out. I’ve played the ultimate edition first with all of the uncensored or decensored stuff in the game.
Something to note...when you bring up the PS2's first release you do realize the PS2 is OLDER than this VN right? The PS2 had been out for nearly FIVE years when the first version of this came out. XD The PS3 was brand new in the US by the time that thing came out, we'd had it for half a year in Japan.
Ik this is the official translation and all but I would highly recommend everyone to read the FBATES translation. It's wayy better than the previous fan made translation and is very prosaic whilst being closer to the definition of a more accurate translation.
This TL will be official but I doubt it will be as beautiful as the Fbates one.
Dude worked for 4 years through that translation. Soo do give it a try. He's only released fate route and UBE translation so far

@@Mikael_Ore Hero Complex is more of Deluding yourself from Reality similar to Arthur from Fire Force where he was deluding himself to be knight. In Shirou case he was completely aware of Reality but he simply chose to ignore and while trying to feel his empty heart with Kiritsugu's Dream( which was later solved via all route)

it can be different in different VNs, but in case of F/SN yes, it`s basically book with illustrations, voiceover, music and ability to sometimes choose next action or reply.
It's a "Choose Your Own Adventure" Book/Gamebook in software form, as are the large majority of VNs. Some rare few are more like regular novels in software form (ex: Mahoyo), or on the opposite end, a narration-heavy point-and-click adventure game (ex: YU-NO).

not gona happen. Typemoon moved away from those. The last time they ever released any of that was in 2005 with hollow ataraxia and in 2006 with realta nua they replaced the scenes in Stay night alongside a lot of improvements to the story and editing the dislogues for the voice actors.
Do you seriously expect that they would ever return to those after such a massive amount of time without making any of them?

In Fate came this "choice this and you come there" and i was in UBW. But this time i played UBW to the end, and there came no choice to heaven's feel route.

Odd. In case you're still having this problem, focus entirely on Sakura and you should be fine. And obviously do NOT protect Archer, as that instantly hardlocks you into UBW.
