Me encantó este video! Porque lo siento muy personal, comparado a otro contenido que es como muy cuadrado ya, ni es creativo. Este muestra la realidad de muchas cosas, la verdad admiro que tengas la fuerza para hacer lo que te gusta. Yo estaba estudiando una carrera de ciencias sociales, amo la ciencia y humanidades y me iba muy bien en realidad. Nunca me costó estudiar, me gusta. Pero este año me di cuenta que yo no quería que me pagaran por saber sobre los estados-nación, me desilusione mucho con la carrera. Así que el próximo año pienso estudiar diseño gráfico :) porque eso si es algo que me gustaría que me pagaran por hacer, pero hasta ahora me sigue costando porque tanto el gusto por el arte como por el diseño son cosas que en mi familia no son muy bien aceptadas. Así que hacer lo que vos queres hacer es bello, te felicito 🎉❤

I see it as, there is only one way of failing as an artist & that is if you as an artist stop creating for reasons such as not making money on it. Being an artist isnt about the money or having a carrier, its about creating your artistic visions. The money & or carrier that may come with it, is the bonus. 🙂 Greetings from a Swedish artist

Yeah, really beautiful, but the reality is that money is kinda important for living. So if you don't make money from art, you have to struggle really hard by making art your side gig. Anyway. Art is very important for all of us, but money is also a part of the process. Especially in our world. :)

Ive lived both so to say, "hobbyist" & "professional", making money or not, Im still an artist & always will be because if I cannot have an creative outlet, my soul would perish! lol :) Just saying, just because you dont make money on it, dosnt make you a failed artist as being an artist isnt about making money. We do art because we love it, because we need to create :)

Thank you for making this video and sharing your thoughts with us! I can relate to a lot of things you said. I am struggling on my journey as an illustration artist, too. And it’s so inspiring to see you didn’t give up and that you found the courage to speak about this. There are a lot of videos about successful art journeys on You Tube that sometimes almost feel like a fairytale. And when you only ever hear about those struggle free stories and your own journey doesn’t go like that you start thinking “What am I doing wrong? It has worked out for everyone else and I am working so hard, so why does it not pay off?” But of course those videos do not represent the majority of artists and their journeys. We humans just prefer to share and listen to successful stories, which can lead to getting a distorted picture about art careers. I hope you will continue on your art journey, because your art is wonderful and you are a lovely and interesting person!

this feels so relaxing to watch. I see myself in u. from the way you talk and how I failed as an artist. I spent years trying to make a living from doing art, and it wasn't easy. I failed a lot of times but I've now decided to take multimedia arts despite what other people think. I see myself creating and making something from art and I just love what I'm doing.

I love this video! I'm a first-year undergrad STEM major but I think about art all the time. I love what I'm learning and the career I'm working towards, but I'm constantly wondering about where I can use art and science together. Well the stuff you're drawing in this video looks really good! You have a style which reminds me a little of @frannerd, and you have a cool name that's a famous Toto song!! I like art as a craft, and I try to keep it away from anything which might impose tough expectations onto it, like showing it to people, or trying to make a living with it. It sounds like you're working on finding a paying audience for your art. I think you will, even if it takes a while.
