As an effort to better my understanding of art and history's greatest artists, I am taking to RUclips and watching informative videos and lessons on art and its history.
Ivan Shishkin was an incredible painter of oil landscapes from the 19th Century. He was a Russian artist who spent his time creating intricate portrayals of forests and other scenery. I want to learn more about his work, as well as anything I can glean from his techniques or his eye for creating compelling visuals.
What you see is my honest reaction to the video presented. It is not meant to be a critique of another creator's work. It is meant to be a lesson for myself, as I try to learn more about great art.

They were good friends and he too was a famous artist. Shiskin’s forests are mesmerizing. He was a true master landscape artist and is revered in Russia. I always liked the addition of the bears as they are symbolic of Russia🙂
