Aluminium comb is brighter but it gives less warmness and subtle richness or complex that a wood comb gives. That's why Toots Thielemans preferred the 270 with wood comb.
Hi, yes, you are right. If you change the material it will affect the tone. It depends on the artist or performer needs. For example, some people like apple, and some like orange or mango. We can't said apple are nicer than others fruit as others fruit has is own taste. So it depends on the artist need, if you need power pour sound go for metal, if you like warm sound, go for wood. where can I find the metal comb for my 270 deluxe ?

Yes, you are right, that's why silver sound so bright and loud in tone. Of course the size of the reeds and reedplate also make different.
@ yes, silver is expensive than others, as raw material also expensive than others. East top are rising up recently. They offer good price in the market

Thanks for the detail review. Is it possible to fit this aluminium comb to a normal 270 without drilling the reed plates ?
For 270, the reedplate nail hole is too small, the hohner reedplate screw unable to go through the hole. You need to drill both of the reedplate,. For upper reedplate (C major) the hole need bigger in order to let the screws go through the hole to reach the lower reedplate , for lower reedplate (C# major) the hole need to drill smaller in order to hold tight with the screw.

does wood have richer sound than "single" material comb? I thought the pure material such as aluminum or abs plastic creates a more concentrated note (notes are "narrower" in the frequency domain, thus more "pure"). Wood creates notes like a bell curve in frequency domain.
Hi, different material create different result. Every single things that you change it will make different even though if you change different type of screw. Wood will have warmer tone, and metal sounds more bright compare to wood. Is a matter of personal taste. For example Some people like mid roasted coffee bean and some people love dark roasted coffee bean. And even in mid roasted also has different taste. Which one is the best? No one can said but you choose what you love and love what you choose. Enjoy your instrument and music.

Drveno telo harmonike daje prirodniji i topliji zvuk ali ima jedan ozbiljan nedostatak.Drvene vertikalne pregrade izmedju rupa se posle izvesnog vremena , iskrive i zavisno nakoju se stranu iskrive, dodiruju ili trske ili ventile i harmonika ne moze da svira na tim mestima.Ventili suste a trske glave i nemaju vise cist ton.Ako se svira tehnikom / tongue blocking / sa viseglanim sviranjem , akordima i basovima ili ritmikom, znaci duvanjem u vise rupa odjednom ,kondenzacija je mnogo veca i samim tim krivljenje drvenih pregrada vece a rok upotrebe harmonike mnodo manji.Dobre strane ovog modela 270 je slajd sistem koji je bolji od novih modela, gde nedostaje jedna fiksna metalna podloska. Metalna resetka sa okruglim rupama cije su ivice zaobljene, je dobro resenje.I cetrvtaste bi bile odlicne samo da se ivice dosta zaoble.To je zbog toga ,sto kod svinja tehnikom Tongue blocking, se skida dosta skrame sa jezika i mogu dospeti do ventila i trski.Kod sviranja na ovaj nacin harmonika je dublje u ustima ,pa i spojevi na kraju dve usne mnogo trpe i yato je dobro da ivice rupa ne budu ostre.Ovaj klasican raspored tonova u rupama ,kod modela 270 , mnogo vise odgovara za viseglasno sviranje i akorde nego novi raspored koji se u yadnje vreme mnogo forsira ,ybog mogucnosti bendanja dva tona u jednoj rupi.Ali oprostite,kao sto znate, ne postoji samo bluz muzika.Kada se slusa viseglasno sviranje slusalac ne vidi razliku kod novog rasporeda tonova, ali tu razliku oseca onaj ko svira. Osetio sam potrebu, da na osnovu svog iskustva, sve ovo saopstim.

这个氧化的问题不太确定，不过之前有一个铃木的alum comb，装在sirius型号上，到现在还没有问题，我也会推出那个影片。
