Well, to me it's not messy at all... Well, yes, it is, but I think it's because of all that distortion, echo or whatever, and it just makes it sound like the original, doesn't it? And with a Country Gentleman, too! It's the very best cover of this song I've seen in RUclips, really. And I also like your musical taste! Long live the Stone Roses!
i've had this in my favouites for a while now and forgot about it - iv'e just got batterd tonight and listened to it again and it's bloody beautiful, just what i needed, so thanks matey and lets not forget to thank john squire although he lost it after turns into stone
I can feel the earth begin to move I hear my needle hit the groove And spiral through another day I hear my song begin to say Kiss me where the sun don't shine The past was yours But the future's mine You're all out of time I don't feel too steady on my feet I feel hollow I feel weak Passion fruit and holy bread Fill my guts and ease my head Through the early morning sun I can see her here she comes She bangs the drums Have you seen her have you heard The way she plays there are no words To describe the way I feel How could it ever come to pass She'll be the first she'll be the last To describe the way I feel The way I feel Have you seen her have you heard The way she plays there are no words To describe the way I feel How could it ever come to pass She'll be the first she'll be the last To describe the way I feel The way I feel Have you seen her have you heard The way she plays there are no words To describe the way I feel How could it ever come to pass She'll be the first she'll be the last To describe the way I feel The way I feel
Fantastic: I have been playing it "wrong" for a few years now (no capo, no drop D), and quite honestly, the "proper" fingering is, well, over my head. Great post, great song, great sound. THANK YOU
Well done! This is far more accurate than almost all versions of this song on youtube, capo 2nd fret as the original. I'm supposed to be playing this whilst singing vocals in a 3 piece, It's 'gonna take more than a bit of practice to sync up the vocals / guitar!
@geelad1212 belated reply..I can't reply to everything at the moment...just wish i had you tube when i started playing 20 years ago..........brilliant resourse...glad you liked it. if you need any help!
Unbeleivable mate ! Thank you thank you thank you ! Best tutor on line. I'm hoping you'll be able to help out with another tune, The Corals Dreaming of you. We play it in F sharp minor instead of A minor so our singer can do it comfortably. I have transposed the solo to F sharp minor but can only make it to about halfway through without fluffing it ! I expect you can play it already but do you reckon you'd be able to transpose ? Fingers crossed !
Hey Pandaprops, great work ! Any chance you could have a look at the Corals Dreaming of you solo. We play it in a covers band but play it in Fsharpminor instead of Am. So I suppose its a transcription I would be looking for. For some reason I cant quite get it. Bit frustrating as can usually pick things up pretty quick. Heres hoping you'll be able to help. Cheers bro. Rob
Just a polite request: I've been trying to learn to play it with your video, but I've got stuck just before the chorus (and by now, as Ringo said, I've got blisters on my fingers). Would you please post a tutorial, playing slowly and without effects so we good-for-nothings can pick it up more easily? What I miss most is seeing the left-hand fingerings clearly; seeing that, I think I could figure out what the right hand is doing. Thanks in advance for your help (you already helped!).
+James Miller Personally I just mess around with different Distortions and Reverbs on my amp (Roland GX Cube) to get the sound i want when i'm playing stone roses, but on this cover sounds like he also has a bit of chorus ensemble on too
Absolutely class mate, best cover of this song on here. Gorgeous guitar too, gotta love the country gent. Check out my band covering i wanna be adored at band practice if you get a chance, comment/rate if you dont mind. Keep the roses covers coming! Gary

I can feel the earth begin to move
I hear my needle hit the groove
And spiral through another day
I hear my song begin to say
Kiss me where the sun don't shine
The past was yours
But the future's mine
You're all out of time
I don't feel too steady on my feet
I feel hollow I feel weak
Passion fruit and holy bread
Fill my guts and ease my head
Through the early morning sun
I can see her here she comes
She bangs the drums
Have you seen her have you heard
The way she plays there are no words
To describe the way I feel
How could it ever come to pass
She'll be the first she'll be the last
To describe the way I feel
The way I feel
Have you seen her have you heard
The way she plays there are no words
To describe the way I feel
How could it ever come to pass
She'll be the first she'll be the last
To describe the way I feel
The way I feel
