Just ordered the jazzmaster pickups! Can’t wait to hear them. I’ll do a before and after video for those who are interested since I can’t find anything about them. I’m switching out the Classic Vibe 60s Jazzmaster pickups if you’re wondering.
Oooh! Let me know how they sound when you get them. I've yet to own a Jazzmaster, but have played many. Curious how the Tone Hatch versions stack up against the bigger name brands.
Okay just finished it and I’m now checking to see if I have enough for these great pickups! Done some more research and these things sound great, I’ll definitely have to try and get some. So glad to see another video come out, can’t wait for the next one!
Thanks! I would have had this video out sooner, but I kept doing that annoying thing where I just felt something was missing. In this case, it was graphics. So I got to work in Pixelmator - learning along the way (as I'm not much of a photo editing / graphic design person).
Thanks! I'm super into them, and have probably more sets of Tone Hatch than I care to admit. I also have a few sets of some "bigger names" too (which I don't want to burn any bridges by calling them out), and these rival those in quality and tone, with prices that rival that of Gee Eff Ess (I don't want to burn that bridge either). ;-)
@@11thFret Ha! I actually contacted Gee Eff Ess to see if they'd sponsor my Affinity upgrade video because I've liked what I've heard from their stuff too. No response yet!
I think I saw Adam post those on his IG page not too long ago. Those were yours? I was thinking of having Adam build me a set as well down the road for a build idea I’ve been holding onto. How do they compare to the stock pups, should you have replaced a set?
Honestly, I’m planning on doing a video about “First Act” guitars very very soon. Some of them are real gems, and I’ve modded two. I bought each for less than $40.
Absolutely nothing. Well, he sent me a “thank you” gift of Vintage Class Strat pickups once. But it was nothing solicited nor negotiated for in advance. Basically, I didn’t go into this with any compensation in mind.
Yup. I own maybe a bit too many GFS pickups. I’d still take a set of these over GFS. GFS are made overseas and cost almost the same as Tone Hatch which are handwound in the USA. Plus, from all the Tone Hatches and GFS’s I’ve ordered, I’m always getting a bit more output from the Tone Hatches. But that’s just my experiences with them. I still love GFS.
Nice pickups. And killer riffs starting at 11:26
Thank you so much! What an awesome compliment!
Just got the notification for the upload, wont be able to watch it until later but congrats on getting it out!
great demo, im looking at the 2/5 union set... hope you can demo it

I’d also like to add that the graphics and effort being put into the videos are amazing and not going unnoticed (;

I got an $80 Squier Affinity strat a few weeks ago and I've been considering upgrading it, at least the pickups. These sound great!

I’m so mad that you didn’t pronounce it “Nor-fork”
How much is Adam paying you? $$

GFS makes a great pickup for less.
