My staffie died in my arms years ago, this brought me to tears. She died from cancer. Anyone that owns a staffie knows what an amazing dog they are. My heart goes out to all those that love and care for their animals.

My old staffing died from mammary cancer in my arms. She was a rescue from a breeder and dog fighter. He is in jail now where he belongs

They are really awesome. We rescued two. I didn't want a dog and disliked the look of greyhounds originally but now im crazy for them!
I have had several ex Racers and it didn't take them too long to re-adjust to being an ex Racer.
I had a stray kitten a month ago.. She was literally dying like low temp and severe dehydration even the vets didn't expect her to live but they still helped and now alhamdulilah she is even better than before.. She gave me hope to never give up and that every worst and difficult if you work hard becomes the best

Thank you to all the good vets in the world. My dog crossed the rainbow bridge last 25th, at 8 years old, after a short but hard battle against leukemia. I miss her everyday but I know everything was done for her by great doctors. Until was time she went to sleep, on my lap.

Archie has the most beautiful coat color. I’ve seen lots of cocker spaniels but never one like that, and he seems so sweet. And of course you have to love The little fox.

Dr. Kate has wonderful bedside manner for both the animals and their humans.
I had an “outie” like the fox cub. My surgeon fixed it during an appendectomy. Now it looks like a smile.
All these animals are lovely. They show their emotions so well. This channel has taught me to love all animals for their personality and the huge amount of love they give instead of just how they look. Thank you all for everything you have taught me. 🙏🕊️💞🤗

My dog was just sick last week. Vet bill was over $500 here in Texas. I wonder how expensive the vet bills are in Australia. Thank God my furbaby didn't have an obstruction like we thought at first.

It is insane, I am in BC Canada and there is a doppelganger of Karen from the first story here! She was a patient at a a pharmacy I worked at a few years ago! Identical!!

Who would let a 7 week kitten outside playing with a dog unsupervised? Kittens should be with momma at least 8 weeks. So poor George wasn’t given enough time to acclimate before “paying” with a dog. 😡 Disgusting, irresponsible owners. On the opposite, many prayers for Karen and Lilly. And also for Archie and his mum, and the greyhounds! ❤️
Being a battle is having leukaemia and being in isolation, getting chemotherapy every single day for ten days and watching palliative cancer patients get wheeled away to the mortuary when they die and wondering if you're next. I felt for the lady with breast cancer but at least she was allowed to live at home during treatment. One of my much loved cats died when I was in hospital and I could do nothing about it. I had no immune system so wasn't allowed home. I was an in patient for a year. So you talk about brave battlers but there are lots of us around.
Crazy how badly greyhounds are treated there. I used to work at a track and our hounds would go into houses, cars, up stairs and would meet other non GH dogs almost weekly . . while they were racing. They never just sat in kennels when they weren't racing.
My dog passed away from bladder cancer this year. I miss her so much.

Alison is so right once you get a greyhound you will not regret it I had two they lived until they were 12 and 13 yrs old, geez I miss those girls. If I was to get another dog it would have to be a greyhound. Warning: greyhounds are like a packet of chips, one is not enough.

I do remember Karen and Lilly. Poor dears having another test of faith. Last time we took our Molly dog to the vet I asked the ladies if they had ever watched Bondi Vet and they had heard of it but not seen it yet. I encouraged them to watch this amazing show. Archie’s’ face is just precious. A corn cob?!! The greyhound trying the stairs interested me, my three month old Pyrenees can’t do stairs and I am not sure how to teach her.

Glad Lilly and her owner are cancer free. The fox had have hernia surgery. I had hernia repair surgery, awhile back. Glad Grey hounds can get help finding new homes after getting some training.
Dr. Scott and Dr. Chris make me want to move to England or Australia. They are such good vets and caring people.

Karen & Lily are two valiant ladies. I loved that Lily had no cancer found. And I loved 😍 ❤ that neither Karen nor Lily nor Scott lost hope heart. That's so important, that they upheld each other. Happy congratulations 🎊 to all 3 and thank God they saw each other through.
I know through real experience how vital the love ❤ of a furbaby can be for keeping up the fight and continuing to live, for both mum & baby. Well done, ladies!

I love Greyhounds. A friend in Saskatoon has 2 beautiful Greyhounds....they are so intelligent and beautiful dogs and very loving.
How beautiful it is to have an animal to love which loves you back. No questions asked. Unconditional love. It's so scary when they get sick. So wonderful when they make it. Thank you wonderful vets.
Greyhounds are such good pets I have 2 at the moment Frankii- fawn- age 1 and Dingo- red brindle- age 15 they are both adorable and sweet
Might be a hot take, but the home training program for Greyhounds should be a thing for EVERY rescue shelter for EVERY dog

Wow, weensy little George was playing outside with the dog? He’s barely big enough to be allowed outside, but out there playing with a dog, and unsupervised, sounds like very irresponsible pet owners.
I thought the same thing. We had a 7 week old kitten that my dog absolutely adored, but they were never alone together. Now the kitten is quite a big boy and he’s fine. But my dog also doesn’t have a high prey drive and really only likes to lick and sniff and the cats lol But you just never know. Especially at such a young age and being so tiny.

A friend has a greyhound/Sloughi cross assistance dog. they will be moving to Brisbane,Australia so it is a lot of paper work to get her doggo there. Skye is a fantastic helper for her person. She is also very sweet with small dogs and will lay on the ground to make it easier for small friends to play with her.

Watching them work on George while snuggling with an orange tabby rescue fellow named Georgie who had his own health scare with struvite crystals about 8 years ago; he's 11 now.

Common for old dogs to get lipomas and do not need surgery. My big dog had 6 and lived to 15 years old.

Sometimes. Our dog got growth on her side. We got it removed and crossed our fingers. It broke out all over her. We couldn't let her suffer.

My dog couldn't vomit four times in one night. I would have gone to the emergency vet. I sure wouldn't strike out for a walk in the morning or leave him to go to yoga!
I know right, it's so insanely frustrating she did that WHILE SHE KNEW HER DOG WAS SICK. An animal not acting like itself + vomiting more than once means there is something wrong. Honestly she deserved to have her couch puked on by her sick dog while she was out doing yoga.

Also the twin ladies I now adore.. took time because of the other twins.. but they aren’t fingers on the chalkboard type. I believe the weird twins would be amazing if they didn’t force their same dialog. So fake I fast forward through them. Hint hint twin ladies! I adore the ones (one) with the greyhound

often when dogs aren’t spayed they’re at risk of mammary (breast) cancer. since that procedure isn’t usually done for humans women are always at that risk.

Not to be a bleeding heart or something, but I feel like, if greyhound racing makes it so greyhounds don't even know how to be dogs, and are freaked out by things like rocks or carpet, I feel like it shouldn't be legal.

Many of them, in the UK at least, are not given the chance to be rehabilitated into pets, but are killed by their "owners" once they are no longer winners 😭😡

Man, it angers me to the absolute core how irresponsible the owners of that kitten are to let it intermingle unsupervised with their dog at such a young age as well as so soon after bringing it into their home.. You should always be quarintining new animals for 14 days before introducing them to any existing animals in the home in order to be sure there are no underlying illness or viruses that could potentially be passed off.
Once cleared, supervised intermingling is always the gold standard with young animals such as kittens and puppies to existing pets in the household. You never know how animals are going to act to a new face in the house. Even the sweetest well behaved animal can have a change in demeanor to defend their territory. Or, size differences can lead to severe and/or life threatening accidental injuries that could have easily prevented if the interactions were supervised.
So sad... I really wish people would be counseled and educated on proper introductions and interactions with new pets in relation to existing pets within the household... Definitely would prevent a lot of unnecessary injuries and fatalities.
Although I do agree, my dog would never be able to quarantine as she loves other animals too much. As soon as we brought the kittens home, we gave them a bath and she was licking their faces. (Thankfully they didn't really hiss but were very disgusted). Over a period of 14 days we would allow them to get to know each other in the day before locking the cats up in my room for the night. After that, then they were free to roam. Now all the cats are happy with the dog. I will say, one cat and one dog being together (or two dogs and one cat) allow introducing a new animal to be far easier.
Poor greyhounds that is so sad. So do their owners basically toss them when they can not compete anymore
