Absolutly amazing song, few artists make songs that moves me this much but Plan Three does, how you guys arent a big band worldwide is a mystery to me. Everyone Ive played "what have you done" for goes "wow" and they wonder how come they never heard of neither the song or the band.
there are some scentences that i dont understand here. its a very tricky song imo (to understand the lyrics). some of them are ''as we all fall in line... - ...chasing shadows that lead our way'' ''the frail the bruised, who start anew'' ''you play the fool, the painful truth'' idk... no matter what i do i cant seem to get my head wrapped around these... anyone that can help me here please?
Alcatraz Aronsson I have a hard time too.. But i think it signifies being lost and doing things that you know deep down isn't what you really want. But you just do them.(-Chasing shadows that lead our way-) sometimes doing those things can really wear you down and it takes that to get you where you belong (the frail the bruised, who start anew). So you know you the play the fool, that was the painful truth. Not exactly sure I just found this song. So im trying to understand the lyrics too. Just ones opinion to another.
Alcatraz Aronsson Or. This could be about God. And what he sees happening around everyone. What he "thinks" per say. I think it's easier when you try to put yourself in his shoes and try to think what he thinks when he looks down. I don't know xD. Both replies are just what i think about when hearing this song.
You know what. I love the melody of this song. And I love the singers voice - it has a good epic feel about it. But the lyrics to the song are just meaningless. Please don't get me wrong - this is a great song.
Mark Bowman the song talks about a relationship that ended and doesn't matter what they (the couple) do, their relationship ended and they shouldn't cry or end their lifes because everything one day comes to an end. If you want I can try to make a "closer look" interpretation but it's basicly that the meaning of the song. In something you are right, the meaning of this song is not explict and you need to analize it a bit to understand it (it's just like the David Firth cartoons).
You can also interprate it has a conversation between god and a mortal, this have a lot of plots that you can look... I think it doesn't have 1 meaning.
Mark Bowman I felt the exact same way! It's a great song, but there's something missing. It kind of feels like one of those songs that you want to love, but can't quite.

+Alcatraz Aronsson for me this song is about jesus sacrifice but i'm sure it must have a non religious meaning but i don't what it is
shadows can be perceived as visions, sometimes people say I'm following a dream. a shadow could almost be like a dark dream or an unclear one.
It's also possible they are talking about visions. The way that they all might be a form of religious group on a spiritual journey.
Are plan three Christian ? I mean I do enjoy the song it's just the lyrics give me a Christian vibe ?

?? How can you not understand the lyrics? It could go a couple ways.. They def have meaning...
