@@Musicality-66 Ericvermeulen is correct. The Iced Earth / Sabaton / ReVamp tour in 2014 is where they at least got engaged (if not met). Floor had just been announced as Nightwish's new singer, so hadn't actually sang with or toured with Nightwish yet. I've talked with the owner of the Michigan Military Heritage Museum, who is friends with Sabaton, and was backstage in Grand Rapids, MI at the show where Hannes proposed to Floor. Early 2014 Iced Earth tour. I was at that show too, just didn't know it was the show that happened at until later.
Great reaction. Floor and Tom are close friends and Floor did a real cool interview with him for her Floor Finds videos on her YT channel. Much of the discussion was about mental health, especially among artists. I believe he suffered from depression and in order to help heal he studied mental health and counseling at university and in clinical setting for almost 6 years while still touring. He completed his course and certifications and is now a licensed counselor. The interview is very fascinating and worth a listen.
Well, since then, when I discovered Floor and rediscovered NW with Floor. My quest was set, to obtain every album that She is a part of, and so I did (And I Have almost all of them, Evergrey included). Evergrey was formed in 1993 in Gothenburg, Sweden by guitarist/vocalist Tom S. Englund as a progressive power metal band, in contrast to the melodic death metal that Gothenburg is known for. This song is from their tenth studio album "The Storm Within" in 2016. And there is another track on that album with Floor called "Disconnect". As for the connection between Evergrey and Sabaton, Floor's husband Hannes was a drummer in this band before he joined Sabaton. Also they are all close friends. Great Reaction Eric, as always !!!! NWSU/FloorFan 🤘😎🤘
I really like this song. Floor joined Evergrey to sing this on that recent 70,000 tons of Metal cruise ship. Keep up the good work Eric. Happy New Year!
Thanks Eric! I only discovered EVERGREY 4 years ago, while digging into Floor's history, and became an instant fan. Love Thomas's vocals, especially for a Swedish metal vocalist. Often turned off by growling and screaming and Thomas provides clarity of lyrics. 🤘 Great catalog to dig into. Highly recommend! Great friends make great collaborations. They go way back.
Floor did a nice interview with the guitarist she sang this song with...it was a very in-depth discussion about mental health among performing artists among other topics...it is on her channel
Loved that you were taking notes during your reaction! If you enjoyed this song from Evergrey, then you´ll love "Where August Mourn" that song is a masterpiece
I downloaded this to my playlist almost immediately when I first heard it. The more I delve into these groups from Europe the more I like them. They have a familiar but different sound that I really enjoy. Great reaction my man
I am so pleased you’ve heard Tom Sing he is my favourite male voice they have 13 Albums to choose from nothing that’s not got something going for it He also does a strip back of amazing Vocals in “Silent Skies” with Vikram Shanka on Piano they have 3 Albums In Orbit is a bit of a softer take on EVERGREY I wish they had more support from their fan base on YT/Social Media
This is sign where we have to ask ourselves do we lose Floor Jansen to mainstream pop/rock genre. Her solo album fit those genres (mainly pop). She is one of best singers today and hope she still do her great job in Nightwish too.
Evergrey are from Gothenburg and they have been around since -96. They have lot of albums to dig into, and they are currently working on a new album. Tom Englund are one of my favorit vocalists, just love his voice. I can recommend Save us, Where august mourns and Eternal nocturnal , more recent songs. And a little rougher soundwise than In Orbit. But still the sound with different layers thats Evergrey does so well. 😀🇸🇪
Always glad to hear another informed analysis of this collab. The affinity with Bad Company (an old favourite of mine) hadn't occurred to me, but it's spot on. Listening on this occasion, it struck me that this song might in part be inspired by The Carpenters' 'Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft'.
Thanks for checking it out!
We appreciate it! 😊🙏
Love this song! Floor’s husband Hannes was the drummer for Evergrey from 2010-2013.
Floor met Hannes when she was in ReVamp and he was already in Sabaton, during a tour in USA.
Yes, This video was from several years after Hannes had left to join Sabaton. 2016 I believe.
I saw Evergrey when Hannes was on drums. Sabaton was the opening band 😊
@@erickvermeulen9734Floor was touring with Nightwish when she met Hannes, but was indeed also still in Revamp.

I love how Floor slowly moves to the mic and sings in her sultry voice. Good song, but I need more Floor.
I love your Nightwish shirt.🤘🤘

So many excellent Floor collaborations !! Worth listening to Soilwork ft Floor performing Let The River Flow.
I really like this song. Floor joined Evergrey to sing this on that recent 70,000 tons of Metal cruise ship. Keep up the good work Eric. Happy New Year!

Another great " mainstream " song with Floor is Tobias Sammets Avantasia Misplaced belong the angels
That chorus 🤯
I concur
Thank you so much for reacting to my proposal, much appreciated! All the best to you and all concurpas in 2024, rock on!
Nice shirt as always great reaction and comments, more nice things Floor did, so mutch more to react on i think😁
Floor did a nice interview with the guitarist she sang this song with...it was a very in-depth discussion about mental health among performing artists among other topics...it is on her channel
Great reaction. Evergrey is a great band and Tom has a great voice. Look up Eternal Nocturnal or Where August Morns. Greetings from Sweden
Both fantastic tunes.
Loved that you were taking notes during your reaction!

Love Evergrey. My BF and I know these guys personally. Great super talented band and cool people
Incredible collaboration.

floor stay with nightwish till the end but if nightwish stops she has her solo shows

As a fellow Gothenburg resident I concur the song suggestions. Evergrey is my favourite "local" band 🙂.
Formed -93🇸🇪
Floor's husband, Hannes Van Dahl, played for a short time in Evergrey, but a few years earlier. He's not in this music video.
Yes,Floor did well with Hannes,he is 9 years younger 🤭 ,probebly ,he get some good "whipping"from her.😂(Just a "last ride of the day" joke😉)
Floor is married to Hannes, drummer of Sabaton, not this drummer from Evergrey 😊
Hail the Valkyrie Goddess ❤😇😇😇
But, Hannes Van Dahl have played in the band...🇸🇪
Great reaction , Thank you
Wow, Gabriel was right. What tour you did this night. I actually am sweating in -16°C weather. 😂

"Save Us".
Yet another great band from Sweden 🤘🤘🤘
Floor is pregnant on this video. its an amazing song🥰
Love this song
That's not her husband Hannes on drums in this one
🎉🎉🎉
Anybody recognized Hannes' younger brother on the drums? 😁
King of errors would be a great song if you want to listen to more Evergrey 😊
Am I the only one who hears a lot of Chris DeGarmo in that solo?
