I decided to try do a h2h seasons run since the wife and our 1 year old were at grandma's. A world of difference! Won a superbowl in an hour and a half!! Zan you may know this or may not know this but I figured this out by accident. You CAN set your curls and seams to 0 & 5 and they will play correctly if you shade your coverage up once and to the right once pre snap. No clue why this works but it has been incredibly consistent for me

Right, why not just use the hard flats for 0-10, curl flat for the +15-30? Aren’t clouds supposed to shuffle to play the intermediate 10-20 but then rally to the flat/sideline? Only reason I could see doing this is because some positions don’t have certain zones, otherwise this just seems like it’s more complicated than it needs to be. Curls cover the corner routes and they work at 10+ so seems like it would work fine. What am I missing.

Literally no, because cloud flats and soft squats behave differently so I might want to keep those on the field while having a curl flat take away something quick into the flats hence the whole point of zone drops to customize the depths of your zones to your liking.
@@quand532 but in real life cloud and squats are very flexible. One is just inside leverage and the other one is outside leverage. So the blues would be more flexible than the purples if you're comparing this to real life

I’m a better madden player than my brother is & I’m like 0-7 against him since we started playing 25 … & he only plays with the Steelers, I’m picking good plays , playing with good teams & it’s the same result .. trying different defensive of playbooks … I haven’t got to practice as much .. but nothin is working . It’s like they switched they way the Defense lines up , Justin fields runs around & drops back 15/20 yards & just throws the ball & still gets the completion, this madden is trash 🚮 … it’s not just the way I play .. they need some major updates 💯
*Cover 6 trap is my favorite defense outta big nickel you get Hella sheds with right side d-Line I will turn auto flip off show blitz QB contain shade inside or out middle 3rd that left side LB and curl flat that LE or vert hook him depending what the offense running*
I sorry all this is ridiculous. we shouldnt have to do so much unless we want a very specific assignment on a defensive play every so often. the issue is the QB accuracy it WAAAAAY to accurate. receivers will get open more often than not, but QBs throws are waaaay too accurate in this game. Madden 24 did not have it this bad and the rating reflect this. Defensive coverage should only work for a short period of time or until the QB is pressured to make a poor this. Not may defensive players can stay with the offensive players the entire play. Pressure or sack throws are pointless now in this years game...
Practice mode not good example because it plays different than actual game. And there is no defense in the current Madden 25 top player in the world lost and gave up 60 points lol
Everyone’s saying this years madden is booty at defense but it’s actually very sim like. Irl you come out in your base coverage and then adjust certain defenders depending on the formation and plays the offense runs. For instance in 4-3 defense the Weak side D end contains the Qb and covers the flat if they see the running back running out for a naked screen in some schemes.

Yes. It does in CFB so I’m assuming it does in madden … shading up/down changes zones
Does match still work when u do zone drops for the quarter flats?
If zone drops are set just reset your play if you want zone drops played again in that same snap audible back into that play
