Hello! We've been to Excellence El Carmen and absolutely love it!! We're thinking about trying Finest. Is there any daytime activities or evening entertainment on the AO side? We're not looking to party, but we do enjoy beach volleyball and some music in the evening and meeting new people. Don't want to be bored by 10pm. Can we go over to the family side if we want to? Also, what are the perks from being on the AO side? Restaurants, bars, etc... and are there adult channel's i know there were some at EEC 🙈🤭 Thank you😊
We had our honeymoon at the Excellence Riviera Maya. I can't speak highly enough of that resort. This is definitely more modern but a very familiar layout. Excellence and Finest brand knock it out of the park for making guests feel well taken care of. We were in a swim-up suite. Didn't feel like we were missing out from the Excellence Club.
wow the beach looks stunning :) we are booked to arrive at the end of the month - we booked the junior suite on the adult only side and i am wondering if you know whether all rooms by that fountain have "pool view" or do some face the outside of the resort. i was hoping to make a request for the one with a better view and any pointers would be so-so helpful! thank you and im glad you've had a great time ( we cant wait for our first post covid vacation)
If you booked excellence club pool view it will face inside the resort, if you just booked excellence club junior suite there are rooms on the other sides of the buildings facing out to the side of the resort that it will most likely be. Any more questions I’m happy to help!

@@tatsianas I’d say they all have their benefits. A6/a7 you will have more or less same view really. Some pool view rooms in a6 have a slightly different layout with a TV in front of the bed which is pretty cool but not many of them.
Thanks for the helpful walkthrough. I am headed to the finest half with my kid, (yup, I'm one of those!). Any thoughts on whether the "Finest club" is worth the extra money, and whether a terrace with plunge pool room is better than the Jr. Suite Pool view? I don't think that we're likely to get too much use of the plunge pool, but wondering if the location of the room is better. (Both on the finest side).
Very informative video. Like you, I prefer no kids on vacation. Is the gym and coffee shop shared by all or is there one only for adults? Considering going here or to the Excellence El Carmen next door. Have you heard how they compare?
The gym and the coffee shop are in the area shared by both sides so are not adults only. Children must be accompanied by an adult in the gym and this is strictly policed at all times. I didn’t see any in there all week anyway. There will be kids in the coffee shop but all supervised and well behaved in my experience. Because of the type of resort this is there isn’t groups of kids running around causing trouble, it’s mainly young couples with very young children. From what I’ve seen, excellence is a similar experience to the excellence club side at finest. I’d say finest benefits from being a newer fresher property whereas excellence benefits from being more established.
We experienced such a poor customer services. My family including in-laws stayed Finest Punta Cana during spring break, and water leaked from the ceiling during a middle in the night in the room where my in-laws stayed. My mother-in-law’s bag was damaged. We reported and after almost 3 months, we have not heard anything from customer care center after initial conversation. I have a case number and I am writing this review because I don’t know what to do with this case number since they are totally ignoring now.
We have our trip planned in a couple of weeks, my wife was finding negative reviews about the wait staff pressuring people for five star reviews on their service. Did you experience any of this with the service staff?
I've been at their sister property next door - Excellence El Carmen. Love the resort🤗 but yes, they do encourage reviews but we never found it bothersome. Many other restaurants and entertainment venues we visit state- side does the same in some form or fashion 🤷🧐. They encourage you to use the word excellent in any review that you may provide (because the property is excellent right?).🤭 And they hope the service is excellent and if you feel that it's anything less, they will do what needs to be done to change your impression to an excellent one. Nothing's wrong with that 💁♀️
Thanks for your detailed video. I wanted to book a beachfront room but have heard many comments that they try to switch rooms when you get there or they are not available. Is there anything that can be done to guarantee the room from your experience?
Honestly speaking from my experience, there is no sure way to guarantee you’ll get the beachfront room you booked on arrival. Hopefully this improves as the hotel grows though.
It depends on what’s important to you really. I’d say the swim ups in the excellence side of the resort are in a much better area. More peaceful and nicer views.
Hi i was wondering when you booked from the website where you able to pay the full money on arrival or you where charged earlier for it on your credit card
Great video!! I, too, am concerned about the kid thing... We're on the Excellence Club side, so I'm hoping that resort staff are pretty good about enforcing the no-kids thing.

Great video! Is everything truly all inclusive at this resort? Or do they upcharge at some restaurants or for top shelf liquor?
Everything is all inclusive..
great review. was this after the hurricane ? we are going to the finest pc in November and have been to the excellence resorts in Mexico.

The lobby looks very similar to their other properties especially the one in Cancun..

Didn’t experience it once in 7 nights although I know they give workers rewards for positive feedback, I don’t think it’s an issue.

Booked excellence at finest with a swimout for February. Looking at your video not sure if it’s worth paying for excellence

They gave us a massage, we could have had more but didn’t want to waste our holiday arguing for it

You won’t see any kids on that side, it’s 100% enforced
They are great about it! We had our honeymoon at this resort and never saw kids unless we talked over to the Finest side.
Would have been nice to see the rooms, none of the Vloggers have done a room tour 😐
