I literally cried watching this video. I wish there were more people that understood this. I'm struggling so much and can't find a provider that is this knowledgeable.
Hi Dawn, I am so sorry to hear you are struggling and have not been able to find help. Please do not hesitate to give Dr Mathis a call. If you are in the US, he will be able to help, if you are outside the US, he can guide you. And if I can help with anything, please do not hesitate to reach out. Please know you are not alone, I hear from women almost daily who are in the same boot, and I have been there too. There is def. hope and I am actually going to have Dr Mathis back on the channel very soon, to talk more about this xx
I was also struggling to find help and living in the boonies didn’t offer a lot of choices. I used Gennev’s telehealth service to get my first HRT prescription and they were excellent. The doc was professional and she asked all the right questions. Cost me $80 for the consult and insurance paid for the estradiol patch and progesterone pills.
Claudia, I could have listened to Dr. Mathis (Bob) and your great questions for hours. He is indeed special. He reinforced and taught me so much (and in easy to understand language). Thank you so very much for this helpful video!
Christine Mack hi Christine, isn’t Dr Bob amazing?! I am glad you enjoyed this video! Thank you fir your sweet comment Wishing you a wonderful weekend xo
I seriously think there should be a compulsory subject on peri menopause and menopause in schools and colleges. This can save so many relationships. Men will have some ideas about what his wife, girlfriend, mother, sister is going through and be supportive. It's such a confusing, frustrating phase of women. It felt so good to watch Dr M telling in detail with depth and emotions. I hope more men will be like him in future. Thank you for such important information from the right source.
What a fantastic Interview! I love the way you let Dr Mathis talk without interruption and asks very intelligent questions. I have been on HRT for about 2.5 years (Estrogel, Ultrogestan and Testosterone) and most of all my 12 peri-menopausal symptoms disappeared. However, the dreadful weight gain is bothering me. I am short 1,62 cm and have been slim all my life. My normal weight was always 55kg until aged 43. I stated doing crossfit and gained muscle so my weight went to 58kg. During the pandemic I weighted 64kg as I wasn't exercising and started experiencing the worst of the peri-menpausal symptoms. I started HRT during the pandemic and I'm now 70kg and the weight keeps increasing despite me exercising and eating a healthy diet. I have been binge watching videos in order to understand what is happening to my weight. It could be that I have PMDD -Progesterone sensitivity. I'm on ultrogestan, I'm bloated, my breast are screaming with pain and wake up feeling drowsy in the morning. Last night I started using my progesterone vaginally. The weight gain is an absolute nightmare.
I wonder if you are on too much progesterone? Do you regularly test your levels? Also, do you take the progesterone all months long or just for 14 days of the months?
@@claudiaglowsHi Claudia, I am in the same boat as the question poser (exact same height and before/after weights!) I take Femoston 2/10 -- progesterone only during the second half of my cycle. Any suggestions?
Great video! Thank you. I am blessed that I have a great doctor that started me on HRT in peri menopause. I was a hot mess.. literally. I am one that could not survive without estrogen. I felt like a shell of myself. I know so many women that aren’t being helped and are being misinformed by DRs. Unfortunately still so much not covered by insurance which prevents access for some women’.
Hi, thank you so much for being here. Yes, you are very lucky. So many women, as you said, are struggling and are not being helped. Same here, I could not survive without estrogen. I am glad you are doing ok and hope you are having a great weekend
Agreed, the Dr is key. I was suffering terribly with perimenopause and my Dr told me as long as I had a period, there was no way I could be in perimenopause. I had to and say I was sexually active so she would put me on the pill, which has helped a lot. When I need to do HRT I will find a new Dr.
Thank you so much! I began bioidentical hrt last year at the age of 60 but have had a few issues getting it all balanced so was considering going off of it. I know the benefits but was beginning to think it wasn't for me. This video renewed my confidence in bioidentical hrt and helped me realize it is worth the effort and reminded me that it is a balancing process. I need to practice patience!
I am so happy to hear this video was helpful, Sallie! I know it can be frustrating to figure out a balance. It took me a while as well. But as you said, it is well worth it Please keep me posted on how you are doing. And if I can help with anything, please don’t hesitate to reach out I hope you are having a great weekend xx
I was wondering what part you are having a hard time getting balanced. I just wanted to make sure you weren't going to one of those places that mix the compounds there. I have heard they don't give us protection as the HRT we are prescribed by regular doctors, and I'm not sure if they provide relief of symptoms. Claudia, could you comment on this? Maybe help me better explain what I'm trying to spit out?😅
@@sherrylienable The problem with most conventional doctors is they are misinformed when it comes to hormones. I am going to see a fifth doctor and if they decide to scare me and prescribe antidepressants and high blood pressure meds (I am neither depressed nor do I have high blood pressure) instead of hormones then I will consult with Dr Mathis.
Thanks so much for this video. I went through menopause early due to a hysterectomy. I've been suffering with a lot of these problems for years. Thanks for having this doctor on.
Missy Lowe hi Missy, I am glad this was helpful! You know, I struggled with my hormones in my 30’s, because of my past anorexia, and I also had a lot of theses symptoms I hope you are able to find some relief. Do you have a good doctor who is working with you? Wishing you a great weekend xo

Missy Lowe I had a full hysterectomy at 30 years old also, 20 years ago. I’ve healed all my symptoms with the ketogenic anti-inflammation diet, as have a tremendous amount of people. Fat falls off, depression and anxiety gone, insomnia gone, body composition changed (more muscle tone), and much more. Hi Claudia. I had cervical cancer a number of years ago and the radiation shut down my ovaries and sent me into almost immediate menopause. My gynaecologist put me on HRT right away, which was great but after doing my research, I would prefer to be on bio identical hormones. It’s very difficult to get anyone to listen. I’ve also never had any hormone testing since I’ve been on HRT. I’m going to really push this with my doctor. Thanks for covering such an important topic! xoxo
Sue, I am so sorry to hear about what you went through! That must have been absolutely frightening and exhausting. I am happy to hear your doctor had the foresight to put you on hormones. But yes, I agree, testing should be done, and bio identical hormones are definitely something I personally would feel more comfortable with. I have been on bio identical hormones for over 13 years now, and test at least 1 x per year, ideally 2x. I hope your doctor will be willing to work with you. If not, please let me know and I will do anything I can to help you. Please keep me updated xo
A second opinion or another doctor’s perspective and treatment plan might be a good idea. No disrespect to your present physician but some are more well versed in HRT.
Claudia I have been following you and this interview with Dr Mathis was so educational, you really asked the most important questions for me and many others wanting to start on the HRT journey,❤
Wonderful video, it helped me understand just how long (7yrs, so mid 40s for most of us) the run up to menopause is and the value of HRT in perimenopause. Thank you.

Like you Claudia, I find you can go to tons of doctors, but if they don't understand the hormones, all they do is delay getting a good result. Thanks to you and Dr. Mathis for the information.
I am glad this was helpful, Susan! Yes, contact Dr Mathis and also please let me know if there is anything I can do. Did you see the newest video I did with him as well? In that one he talks about pellets xx
@@claudiaglowswhat video is that please? I have been on HRT pellets for a year. First it was testosterone then recently they added a little more estrogen. I love the muscle tone from the testosterone but the estrogen made my face and skin look better but at the same time I feel I am retaining some water around my waist area. It’s only been a few weeks since my pellet insertion so I am hoping it will start to balance out.
Wow, so true. On hrt now, but both hips broke down over 7 years of peri & menapause. Onto 2nd hip replacement next month at 51. Hormones are vital. Melatonin has helped sleep issues too. I literally couldnt sleep more than 2 hours

@@claudiaglows One question I have is while being on hrt does it make your levels 100 percent? I have been on hrt for 12 months however still having some symtoms example no sleep one week out of month? I am 50 years old and sometimes having mental confusion? Maybe a womens body cant get back what they once had?
Renee Schroeder Renee, this could have several reasons. First off, what form of HRT do you take? Synthetic or bio identical? Is it rhythmic or static? Do you take progesterone as well and if so, for how many days off the months Dr Mathis always believes it is best to mimic nature, so he likes a rhythmic method. All that said, the reason for your sleepless nights could be not enough or too much estrogen or Progesterone. The timing of both being off,.... or it could be that it has nothing to do with the sec hormones, and has a different cause Have you had your hormones tested since in HRT? You are welcome to email or text Dr Mathis, I left his info in the description box, and ask him any questions you have I would think, that as long as we are giving the body what it recognizes and the amount it needs, we should be able to get rid off all these symptoms. But of course, the body is complex

It's progesterone I feel better on. Estrogen patches don't do much and makes me put on weight. I had fibromialga symptoms during perimenpause and couldn't figure out why I got better when I fasted and lost weight also cutting out alcohol and lowering fat. I'm guessing it's an estrogen problem.
I feel so fortunate to have stumbled upon your channel last night. I continued to listen to your other ones with Dr. Mathis in it. I am thinking I may contact him for help. I've been on HRT for years but having problems that seem to not be taken seriously by my doctor. I have zero energy and stay in the bed mostly now. Hair falling in chunks until it's embarrassing, he said my prolactin is 170 which is way way high. MRI without tumor that would cause this but he insists I go to a neurosurgeon of which I don't want to. I've only been on estradiol pellets and I think that the very high estrogen level is causing these problems. I live in GA though and is what I'm understanding that we can become a patient through telemedicine anywhere in US? or do we have to go to California?

Hi Georgina, thank you so much for being here and for your lovely comment. i am really glad you enjoyed this video and hope you are having a great week xx
it's important that he added that the progesterone balances the estrogen during the pregnancy....so it it really isn't the same....one of the largest causes of breast cancer is actually UTI's....the more UTI's....the more antibiotics....the worse the gut microbiome....the more leaky gut....the more the inflammation....the higher the risk of cancer....we always encourage people to try to prevent UTi's as this is way over treated these days with antibiotics....well along with everything else....people need to build their immunity by eating more plants and therefore more fiber and reducing inflammation with reduces cancer....go plants!
hahaha about the urine....a lot of people are not aware that this is where the name Diabetes insipidus came from because the doctor would sip the urine to see if it was diluted....good thing he mention GMO and organic.....gotta try to avoid these things....dark green leafy veggies are the absolute best hands down....
absolutely, go plants. And yes, the balance is very important and he stresses that quite a bit. We need the building and the breakdown, to mimic nature. I have not heard about the UTI's. Interesting! I luckily have never had one...
If you call him, be patient He is an incredible doctor, but a bit disorganized and tuff to nail down However, I know he want to help, so please keep trying him And calling him is the best way to get a hold of him Or WhatsApp Let me know if I can help with anything

I went on BHRT in my mid forties. I went off 5 months ago at age 64. I think it's a racket. Women went through menapause for years without medical intervention. It doesn't help you get through menapause it just delays it. I'm going through it now but it's getting easier everyday. Don't go on any kind of HRT unless you plan on staying on it for the rest of your life. For me I was just tired of remembering my patch and pills plus it was expensive and no regular insurance will cover the bio identical ones. Spent a lot of times outdoors, get lots of exercise and eat right and you'll get througjh this time of your life without medical intervention. Focus on important things in your life and quit thinking about yourself all the time. I finally learned that at age 64.
While I agree with you that women, of course, have gone through menopause for a long time, we now live in a different world. Our environment is toxic, making it harder for our bodies to cope and we also live much longer. My opinion is- why live without something the body desperately needs if you do not have to? But, we are all different and we have to find what works for us. I am grateful there are doctors like Dr Mathis who are passionate about helping those of us who struggle. But you are right, going into nature, eating right, exercise and focusing on important things is very important. Sadly for many women who struggle with their hormones all of those things become almost impossible to do, I was one of them. I am glad to hear you are not struggling like some and hope you will have a very smooth transition x
@@claudiaglows Thanks! That is very kind of you. I'm good and I'm to the point I only have hot flashes at night and they are getting less and less. I was struggling in my mid forties. I was still working and if someone just asked me a question it could bring on a hot flash so bad I couldn't think or respond. It was so embarrassing so I sought medical help. Maybe it's better to go through that now when I'm retired and have less responsibility. I don't think hormones are anti-aging or do all the things they tell you they will. Most of the women i know don't go on HRT and how they look and how they are aging it totally dependant on their lifestyle. I do think doctors and the big pharma were in on this together. Once you are on the HRT they pretty much got you for life. I also know of no studies on women who have taken HRT for life. It is artificial, it's not how we were made. We were made to have our hormones decline after child bearing.
Yes but that's happening far earlier now. You don't seem to get this. So women in their 30s and early 40s go onto the reproductive slag heap... your 65 now. We are a lot younger.
@@jessicahitchens6926 Yeah I do get it. I went on HRT in my early 40's and stayed on them for over 20 years. I'll repeat my main point. HRT doesn't get you through menopause, it just delays it. Once you are on hormones you'll need them for the rest of your life or all your symptoms will come back no matter what age you are. I wasn't told that. I'd like to hear from women who weaned themselves off of HRT without horrible symptoms (night sweats, hot flashes, insomnia).
I had a bilateral salpingo oophorectomy as I had stage 1 uterine cancer. They cut me loose. My cancer was hormone positive and automatically they say no to HRT because they told me estrogen to cancer is like miracle grow is to a plant - I’m a mess. Depression. @@claudiaglows First of all, thank you so much for replying. I really appreciate that. I was blessed my cancer was caught early. The entire process was quick. However, I really didn’t know I would be hit so hard. I still had a monthly period at 52 when I had my surgery. My surgeon/gynaecologist made it sound like because I was menopause age, having the surgery would be fine. It was natural for me to be in menopause at 52…. No mention of all the protection our ovaries provide us, no suggestions made about pelvic floor exercises, no warning of the loss I felt and continue to feel. His job was done. You were in peri a decade before that operation. The inflammation that occurred over a 7/8 year span gave you that cancer. You were no longer protected. Women get this confused thinking they are ovulating just because they bleed. Most women are not or its infrequent. Or the quality of eggs are not good. You have FSH and LH spikes in the brain for years. And some doctors think that is actually poisonous to women. Its malpractice what they did to you. Absolute disgrace.

I found a nurse practitioner who does the pelleting and I’ve had two so far. I had my lab drawn last week and he should be calling with the results. I asked him if I could try an oral HRT and he only offers the pellet. Maybe I need to give it more time, not sure how many pellets I should try before giving up. If things don’t change soon I’ll try to find another dr, but it’s so expensive to start over and insurance will not cover it. It’s a shame too bc so many women don’t use HRT because it is so expensive. I’m hoping that eventually Insurance companies will cover the cost. I’ll be looking for your videos and thank you so much for your help.💕
Thank you. I watched your recent video with Dr. Mathis. He’s informative and I learned a lot. My NP only offers the pellets so I think I’ll find a new NP. I think I heard Dr. Mathis say that a transdermal bioidentical patch is a good option. I’ll rewatch the video. I appreciate your help and advice.💕💕💕
I'm pretty sure 400mg oral progesterone is very high and can cause alot of fluid retention. There are other ways you can use it to protect your uterus and at a much lower dose. Hope this information can help you a bit
I am on eostrogen and progesterone 200mg, plus testosterone. I too have put on 12llb , so whilst feeling better in myself , feel awful, with this weight gain, I’ve just ballooned.😩
I am sorry to hear that! Please do not hesitate to reach out to Dr Mathis if your doctor is not helping you. And please let me know if I can help with anything xx
Thanks for the info! Many of the female doctors (Mary Claire Haver, Felice Gersh, Louise Newson) don't measure hormones with labs. They just use a woman's symptoms to gauge levels. It's funny how the doctor's mind is just BLOWN by the way the human body and vegetables "accidentally" are so awesome. 😂 Give God a shot ❤
You can use a different form of HRT which will help make you feel better, without getting your period back. Do you have a good doctor whom you can work with? If not, you can reach out to Dr Mathis
What is your opinion about 1 ml estadriol and 5ml Dydrogesterone pill to treat menopause at 48 years old at the beginning. Is it too high? Too low for the beginning?
It is really hard to tell and depends on the individual and how well you are absorbing the hormones. I would say try it for a couple of months, see how you feel and test your hormone levels to see where they are If the levels are too low, you either need more or a different form, if too high you can adjust down But I would definitely take a blood test after about 2 moths of using the hormones

I am very sorry you had to go through this, Jennifer! NMN has shown to reverse fertility in mice. But that is at very high doses for these little creatures. I have been taking NMN for about 1 year now and have not noticed hormonal changes. However, just to be on the save site, I would talk to your oncologist about it. I will also ask Dr Mathis, when I talk to him next.

I am assuming no, which is frustrating and there is no way for him to know where your numbers are, without testing. He needs to test your estrogen and if too low, increase it. Hello Claudia, I am new here. Great video and lots of great information! My question is, the hrt that Dr. Mathis is referring to is bio identical or body identical? My understanding is that Bio identical refers to compounded HRT and not regulated whereas body identical is regulated and FDA approved. Could you please confirm?
Hi Adriana, I am very happy you are here and glad this video was helpful. I have honestly never heard of body identical. But Bio Identical means the body recognises it as one of its own. I do not think that bio identical hormones are FDA approved, but in my humble opinion, that does not mean much. The FDA approves synthetic hormones, which the body def. does not recognise. I hope this helps. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have further questions and have a beautiful day xx
@@claudiaglows Hello dear Claudia, thank you so much for your response. I wanted to write back to you to give you some information in regards to the body identical hormones. In my research I have found that there are in fact some body identical hormones that have been approved by the FDA and are regulated. The body identical hormones are the ones recognized by our own bodies and are derived from plants. One of the examples is Prometrium, a form of HRT. Here is a portion of what you can find on the internet about this body identical progesterone: "PROMETRIUM(r) Capsules, a recently FDA-approved progesterone, is an important new HRT option that is well-tolerated by many women, and it is structurally identical to the hormone they produce naturally".Dec. 23, 1998 www.newswise.com/articles/fda-approves-prometrium-r This is just one of the examples and I would be interested in hearing from Dr. Mathis about his opinion on these type of HRT vs. the bioidentical which are compounded in pharmacies and not regulated. I could expand more on this if you are interested and point you to some reliable sources to get a better understanding regarding bio identical vs. body identical HRT. Since I'm in Ontario, Canada, I am already close to bed time :) Have a restful night and a beautiful Friday! Very sincerely XX, Adriana
@@andreadavis1250 Thank you Andrea! I realized, after submitting my question, that in the US, bio identical is the same as body identical and it's FDA approved. Thank you again 🌷
Bio identical just means it’s an exact replica of your body’s estrogen but it can be made in a pharmacy. Pharmaceutical bio identical hormones are better because they are regulated by the FDA so you know exactly how much you get. Compounded means it is not regulated so you are not sure of the dosage. So it’s not bio identical that is different, it’s where it is made.

That would be wonderful!

Unfortunately still so much not covered by insurance which prevents access for some women’.

And I would add keep open dialogue and communication with your physician. That way you’ll ensure that you’re on the correct or optimal dosage.
it is actually dangerous to start HRT so late after menopause
I was wondering what part you are having a hard time getting balanced. I just wanted to make sure you weren't going to one of those places that mix the compounds there.
Do you take progesterone as well and if so, for how many days off the months
Dr Mathis always believes it is best to mimic nature, so he likes a rhythmic method.
All that said, the reason for your sleepless nights could be not enough or too much estrogen or Progesterone. The timing of both being off,....
or it could be that it has nothing to do with the sec hormones, and has a different cause
Have you had your hormones tested since in HRT?
You are welcome to email or text Dr Mathis, I left his info in the description box, and ask him any questions you have

My current practitioner was good for 4 years, but they have changed so much, and I need to find someone else. Per your advice in another comment, I’m going to call Dr. Mathis. I’m very hopeful!
Yes, please call Dr Mathis, but like I said, please be patient with him.

Hi Martha
Yes, absolutely. Dr Mathis talked about this in a newer video I did with him.
Hi Jennifer, I am really happy you are here, but am so sorry you are struggling le this. Yes, please give dr Mathis a call. Technically you need to see him at least once, for him to be able to treat him, but please call him regardless and hopefully he can fo d a way to help you. it's important that he added that the progesterone balances the estrogen during the pregnancy....so it it really isn't the same....one of the largest causes of breast cancer is actually UTI's....the more UTI's....the more antibiotics....the worse the gut microbiome....the more leaky gut....the more the inflammation....the higher the risk of cancer....we always encourage people to try to prevent UTi's as this is way over treated these days with antibiotics....well along with everything else....people need to build their immunity by eating more plants and therefore more fiber and reducing inflammation with reduces cancer....go plants!
hahaha about the urine....a lot of people are not aware that this is where the name Diabetes insipidus came from because the doctor would sip the urine to see if it was diluted....good thing he mention GMO and organic.....gotta try to avoid these things....dark green leafy veggies are the absolute best hands down....
absolutely, go plants. And yes, the balance is very important and he stresses that quite a bit. We need the building and the breakdown, to mimic nature.
I have not heard about the UTI's. Interesting! I luckily have never had one...
interesting and disgusting 😳. And yes, non GMO is so important as well as lots and lots of plants and green leafy vegetables.
In fact menopause increases UTI's frequenc because of vaginal dryness... need those hormoines!
Very interesting.. yes the gut microbiome is crucial for health. I think the women whom gain weight have terrible gut issues.
This was wonderfully informative! I am very grateful to you both for this information! 🥰

I am glad to hear you are not struggling like some and hope you will have a very smooth transition
x
Depression. I feel like I died that day I had surgery. Yeah they give me Effexor. It’s not what i need. I am not the same person and I wish wish wish I could find someone in Ontario that can guide me.
Hi, I am so very sorry to hear that you are struggling. Dr Mathis and I made a more recent video where he talks more about estrogen and cancer you might find helpful.
We are left to just figure it out. How to feel like a woman again. So now, I need to find ways to feel better. The joint pain, fatigue, dryness, anger, etc.
I will check out the video you suggested and look at other ones you posted. Thank you again. I just may reach out again.
Many women are suffering, all while they’re just trying to feel alive again.
Please keep doing what you’re doing. Xo 😊

I just recently went off of everything. I sleep fine and have energy. I exercise, lift weights and eat healthy but I can’t lose any weight.
I am sorry to hear that. In those 12 years, did your doctor regularly check your hormone levels to make sure you were optimized?

Yeah I wouldn't have had you on Testosterone at all. Or Prometrium. I think seek a good Homeopath. I'd also look into your gut health. Its like everything has became skewed. What about your thyroid? Estradiol and Progesterone help regulate the thyroid and metabolic levels.

My libido is better but I’ve gain 14 lbs of belly fat and I’m miserable with this weight gain. Could insulin or leptin cause this weight gain? Thank you for any advice.
Hi Kim, thank you for being here. I am sorry to hear you are struggling with weight gain. I actually just had Dr Mathis back on my channel, and he talked about how difficult the pellets are to adjust, and how that can throw off all your other hormones. You might find the video helpful (it is one of the newest on my channel), and better understand what is going on.
Can you talk to your doctor about possibly removing the pellets and switching to a different form of HRT
Thank you for responding Claudia and I will watch the updated video for sure. I was on regular hormones for about 10 yrs bc my gynecologist wouldn’t offer pelleting.
Many of the female doctors (Mary Claire Haver, Felice Gersh, Louise Newson) don't measure hormones with labs. They just use a woman's symptoms to gauge levels.

What is your opinion about 1 ml estadriol and 5ml Dydrogesterone pill to treat menopause at 48 years old at the beginning. Is it too high? Too low for the beginning?
It is really hard to tell and depends on the individual and how well you are absorbing the hormones. I would say try it for a couple of months, see how you feel and test your hormone levels to see where they are
If the levels are too low, you either need more or a different form, if too high you can adjust down
But I would definitely take a blood test after about 2 moths of using the hormones

Thank you this is very interesting and a bit worrying too...what are your thoughts on wild yam cream?
miu miu hi, and thank you for watching! I think as Dr Mathis said, the alternatives are good for someone who is not struggling much with the symptom low estrogen. I me personally, I tried everything natural under the sun, including wild yam cream, and nothing helped me. But we are all different
I would say try it, and see how you feel. Many women also find relief from soy.
Are you struggling a lot with symptoms?
@@claudiaglows no real symptom yet....am asking for general knowledge, others and future ...am 38 but I feel fatigue which could also just be the brutal heat... Will get tested before anything..are tests trust worthy?
miu miu the heat is taking it out of me as well!
Testing is definitely a good idea, and yes, I think the tests are reliable
You want I go at a certain time of the months, usually day 11 or 12 of your cycle for estrogen and then one more time day 21 for progesterone
Or just see what your doctor suggests
If he tells you it is not worth to year hormones because they constantly vary,, you can tell him you want to do it in the day mentioned above

My doc refused to give me more than 50microgram estradot patch. Even thou I know I need more. Can u pls tell me how to top up? Thank u!
Hi, I am sorry to hear that. Has your doctor measured your hormones before and after he put you on the patch? I am assuming no, which is frustrating and there is no way for him to know where your numbers are, without testing. He needs to test your estrogen and if too low, increase it. If he does not do so, I would say find a new doctor if the one you are seeing refuses to help you. You can call Dr Mathis and see if he is able to treat you, his info is in the description box, or a different doctor. But personally I would not want to see someone who does not have my best interest in mind.
Please keep me posted and let me know if I can help somehow.

Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have further questions and have a beautiful day
xx
@@claudiaglows Hello dear Claudia, thank you so much for your response. I wanted to write back to you to give you some information in regards to the body identical hormones. In my research I have found that there are in fact some body identical hormones that have been approved by the FDA and are regulated. The body identical hormones are the ones recognized by our own bodies and are derived from plants. One of the examples is Prometrium, a form of HRT. Here is a portion of what you can find on the internet about this body identical progesterone:
"PROMETRIUM(r) Capsules, a recently FDA-approved progesterone, is an important new HRT option that is well-tolerated by many women, and it is structurally identical to the hormone they produce naturally".Dec. 23, 1998
www.newswise.com/articles/fda-approves-prometrium-r
This is just one of the examples and I would be interested in hearing from Dr.
Very sincerely XX,
Adriana
Bioidentical is fda approved. Check out Menopause Taylor here in youtube. She has almost 300 videos on menopause.
If I may ask, was your friend (who didn't get blood work on hrt) use oral estrogen by chance?
Hi, I honestly don’t know. Is it something you are worried about?
@@claudiaglows oral estrogen can cause igf1 to go down, free thyroid hormones to go down and total cortisol and angiotensin (which increase blood pressure), triglycerides to go up in some people, and can increase estrone which may cause/worsen weight gain/bloating.
