@@hobosnake1it was basically an explanation for why the Kobolds are so fixated on candles, because there’s an event where if you put out all the candles in this certain cave, it summons a Void entity called the Darkness, with the candles presumably having kept it from entering Azeroth. It’s about damn time WoW finally took a page out of FFXIV’s book! They’ve made dungeons that are entertaining and fun with easy to see and understand mechanics that you don’t need an addon to interpret for you. Wow. What a concept. It’s unbelievable it took this long for them to implement this.
M+ is the only endgame I really do, but I'm all for them taking bigger swings with dungeon design. Worst case there's a dungeon I do as little as possible, but some variety in the standard fare would be welcome.
Yeah I mean nothing can be worse than Tol Dagor, or temple of sethraliss. Just swing for the fence and go nuts. Give us some wacky mechanics to try out, take a chance, and at worst it'll be bad for a single season
also if they take these big swings that "we're going to hate on M+", they can always just like, be generous on the timer where there are big new mechanics at first and tone it down over time as needed, or hell, maybe even do things like have bringing candles to the cart payload event putting bonus time on your timer in M+ so you can "take things slowly and do it right" but still be rewarded for beating the timer like a fucking champ because you properly split your group and did the event- don't worry about whether the mechanic will work for M+. Make M+ work WITH the mechanic.
No ! We’ve already done that ! We want an enhanced MoP and a shorter content cadence WoD . And a 0 restriction and alt friendly legion with artifact power acquisition buffed by 100%
@@Thrall966 They're already doing the MOP leveling thing and if it does well. My guess is that bliz is gonna do that for other expansions as well. Setting up a vanilla => TBC => wrath rotating server would take way less work for them.
I love that they're being more ballsy about environmental design because if they focused more on that, they could curb a good chunk of problems that occurs within instanced content, like the common hurried pace at which they operate at because a tank can simply keep pulling, with nothing in the environment to stop them, whereas, having physical barriers to slow down for, and think through, will deter those behaviours.
@acev3521 I don't agree with the OP that's it a new golden age. That's silly. We haven't even played this xpac yet, lop. What I will say is that gameplay-wise (not story-wise, dragonflight had lame themes), the game is much more fun and respects my time so much more. I think if they keep up how they are now, that we are entering a new "golden age". They've said at blizzcon that midnight is the expansion where they will add major features players will be excited about. To me, the war within seems like dragonfligjt but with cooler themes that kick off this 6 year story. They're improving the fundamentals of the game and laying the foundation for what's happening in the new Era of WoW. I think really midnight will be the smash hit we've all been waiting for. War within will maybe be solid.
@@hobosnake1 I agree and i wish you are correct. I have been literally screaming for an old god/void expansion since at least legion. And every time it was something else, completely irrelevant that they somehow tried to connect together to make it coherent. Trust me when i say even if TWW is a smash hit there will be a *LOT* of expectations from midnight.
This sounds like I'm talking shit about the game, but I'm not: It's good to see that this dungeon has the same attention to detail FF14's been doing for a long time. Looks like you could do this dungeon without DBM telling you what the mechanics are. Hopefully all the crap that flies around in higher difficulties doesn't make it impossible to read.
IDK, i feel like boss fights in WoW were never that big of an issue, they are usually fine aside from maybe 1 or 2 each expansion. the dungeon design is the core issue of WoW, they are too long for M+, they should be aiming for a 20min or less clear time, Maw of Souls in essence was the perfect dungeon design, it just didn't have any uniqueness to it, it was just straight to the point. rook hold in legion was another good dungeon even though it had a higher timer, but having a mini gauntlet can be a cool aspect of a dungeon, similarly, the centaur dungeon in DF with the flying adds a new uniqueness to a dungeon but still it aimed for too long of a clear time. As boring as many of the FFXIV dungeons are because they are so formulaic (2 packs boss 2 packs boss 2 packs boss), they go by fast enoug hthat you dont care. M+ is a grinding fiesta, having most dungeons aim at a 30min+ clear timer with a 10-20min grouping time, that is WAYYY too long of a duration to get into something that you are likely not to get anything useful or anything at all out of. Less trash packs, reduce timer needed is the bare minimum needed to make M+ decent. In my opinion ofc 11:50 the cart minigame I can already see how problematic this will be in M+. if the mobs always target the cart, it will be up to the tank and maybe healer to gather the candles, there will be a pretty serious filtering process for the top 2 most mobile tanks just for this specific run, unless all tanks can now be super mobile where this isn't an issue (unlikely scenario), as well as a pretty mobile healer 16:40 I can already tell, healers are going to hate this dungeon, and it's not due to healing lol
still the same old formula. 8 new dungeons per exp, most of them outdoor zones we go to while leveling. this time they reduced the total number of bosses too, a lot of 3boss dungeons. also one raid per season is the norm now, with 8-10 bosses per raid. just so formulaic and cheap

Please no puzzle solving. I forgot which dungeon it was where if you failed to memorize and match certain shapes, you get transported to the beginning of a maze.
Dunno man that's the kind of dungeon that's fun the first few Times but will just be horrible for m+ with pugs😂 also it has the most hate d quest Design as a boss fight?...
It means that they personally believe that these dungeons are better than the dungeons Blizzard have released in the past few years. That's all it means, lol
but how many will be left to play them ? how many players even care? Bobby gutted blizzard, and I don't know how they honestly remove his stench without a full revamp. Wow and Blizzard have become pure corporate churn with no soul and no passion, Games like Pal world, No rest for wicked, Hell divers, so many more feel like real games made by gaming studios. Retail seems to be on good track. Now we just need a classic server that rotates vanilla => TBC => wrath and then restarts.

You can do almost any dungeon without dbm…hit 2500 without dbm not hard
I think you are severely overestimating peoples ability to do mechanics. @@Thegamerslounge33

How do you see the healing numbers above individual players heads like that? Addon? I can't seem to find the option for it in settings
Should be in your base UI interface section. If it isn’t, download “advance interface” addon
