My favorites are that I truly know my kids, that their days are mostly catered to focusing on their God given bets and not wasted on the genericness of recreating a "school" at home, that their siblings are their best friends and that they know the Lord deeply

Thank you for such a Kingdom-focused video. I have younger kids and this is such a great reminder of why we are called to do what we do and all of the fun and life-long blessings that come from educating our kids. You’re so encouraging!

As someone walking about a decade behind you in my homeschooling journey, I am so encouraged by this video. Thank you for making me feel joy, hope and excitement about a season that the world tells me to fear. I especially love how you worded the goal of making sure we do everything we can to prepare our kids for this world! So thankful for your words and willingness to be used by God ❤

Completely agree with everything you said. We will never regret spending time with our children and teaching them all we desire before we send them out into the world on their own. By homeschooling, we gain back over 1200 hours a year with them and I will never take that time for granted. ❤

Definitely the BEST addition to our year was adding World Watch News each morning. Our three teens and two elementary level kids have conversations everyday about what's going on in the country and world, and everyone makes insightful comments, no matter their age. It's wonderful.
We hope to represent Detroit and film our family reciting WWN's motto outside of the Motown Museum.
    👍🚙

7 hours x 180 school days a year = 1260 hours / 24 hours in a day =52.5 days a year you would lose with your kids! X that by 12 years (or more with preschool)! Your time is well spent homeschooling ❤❤❤

My oldest is only 10, I’ve homeschooled her since “1st grade” and seeing your relationships with your older kids is so beautiful. It’s a reminder of one of the many reasons we chose to homeschool. Thank you for sharing this!
Also, I subscribed to World Watch in September to get the 6 months free and we’ve been loving it!

We love World Watch News as well! My oldest is 13 and an eighth grader and I agree with everything you said. Big life changes and emotions all happen with me nearby to help. I couldn’t imagine being away from them all day long. As you said, I will never regret the time with them!

I enjoyed this so much!! I have grown so much closer to my children since we have started homeschooling! It has its challenges but I love the time we all get to spend together. My kiddos are 4, 6, 11, & 14! Your videos are so inspirational & help me check in with myself during this beautiful journey!!

Thank you so much for this. I’m planning to homeschool (my oldest is just 3) and while most people have been supportive, it’s almost taken as a given that you’ll quit for high school. I love having this info to prepare me for the years ahead!

I agree with this video so much! My kids are grades 7,9,11 and it’s only our 4th year homeschooling. I feel so blessed to have this time with them as teens. Sure there are some challenges but I love how close we have grown as a family. I love that I know what is going on in their lives and they actually want to have conversations with me.

Thank you for such an encouraging video. My oldest is 14 and we've been trying to decide if we're going to do Christian school for high school next year, but this is making me rethink that and really focus on how wonderful homeschooling is for my family, including my teenagers. I love hearing this encouragement from a mom who is already living it, and having validation that I don't need to listen to the voices in my life who tell me that sending my kids to school will be "so much better." They don't know what they're talking about! Thank you, thank you, thank you.

13:25 I love this so much, thank you! We’re in year 5, 7th grade, age 12 and we plan on homeschooling the whole way through God willing.
Most people who are supportive, or at least ok with, homeschooling still assume you’ll send them to public high school. Heck no! 😏
The tween attitude changes are definitely challenging at times, but would that get better by spending less time with her? Not likely.

love your videos, but this was probably my favorite. I just started homeschooling this year, kindergarten. I always think to myself how fun it is now and have been concerned as they get older it won't be as fun. This video painted a BEAUTIFUL picture of homeschooling teens with a Kindgom focus!! love it. cool sponsor too. =)

Love your videos! They are always so encouraging. My kids started out in public school and at the end of every summer I would be so sad that school was starting. So many other moms couldn’t wait and I could never understand that. I have two teens now that I have been happily homeschooling for over 4 years now. I always say I will never ever regret spending all this time with my kids. I agree with all of your reasons. The conversations are my favorite! Listening to their perspectives brings me hope for the future. Thank you Ashlee! We also have been watching world watch for years.

Such a good video I love hearing that you love homeschooling still and that your kids are doing amazing it’s such an encouraging thing for a mom in her third year and and still not quite to independent work really that the time isn’t wasted and it reminds me to slow down and treasure it more :) ❤thanks for your sharing so good god bless ❤❤❤

So true. I love spending time with my teenager. He is so amazing in every way. He is so helpful with his younger siblings and around the home. I love our talks with him as well. We challenge him but he also challenges us. I love having movie night with him. It's the best. ❤ Many people talk bad on their teens but when you put the time into them that they need, the results are definitely amazing.

I agree! I LOVE watching my children grow! I've graduated my oldest 3 from our homeschool so far and my 4th child is a senior this year. My younger five are in 9th, 8th, 6th and 3rd grades(I have two 3rd graders, though they're not twins).

I haven't even finished the video yet but I just had to say you are such an encouragement! My boys are little at 6 and 4 and we are in our second year of homeschooling. Thank you! I've been following for years. My oldest is 12 and 100% wants to keep homeschooling through highschool. It's been wonderful to have your insights as we've moved through the lower and middleschool years and I'm grateful for all the information you're putting out here as I prepare for this next phase. Also, we found World Watch through your channel and watch everyday as well. ❤

Thanks for this video! I am currently homeschooling 2 teen boys. There are bad attitudes sometimes, but I am so thankful I can spend this time with them. I really believe they would be different young men if they were going to public school. I like watching your videos for all the encouragement. You really challenge me to do better as a mom and teacher. Bless you!!❤

Great video and great reasons. I agree, although my 10 and 12 year old boys aren't great at good deep discussion yet. They still think everything is silly and can't help themselves but to give goofy answers.
