I was there and the energy was next level vibes. Also We ASKED HIM TO SING IT MULTIPLE TIMES. A Latino gang member walking in front of me turned around, shook my hand and said "I Love LA, Happy Juneteenth my sister" and asked for a hug. Y'all don't understand the history of the black and brown tensions in LA and what that moment meant to me as someone who used to do gang stop the violence activism as a teen.
A beautiful moment sista’! And I thank you and the audience for asking for K to play it again! My 25 yr old daughter and I were like, AGAIN?!?!??😃 Mother daughter moment was lit! We danced mostly the entire time and bar for bar on a lot of the songs through the entire concert!! This was a MECCA of RAP moment!!!
❤
The dude behind me kept shouting “PLAY IT AGAIN DOT, HE BETTER PLAY IT AGAIN” we were lit
Love this!
Thanks for sharing ❤❤❤
If anybody would have watched the concert not like us wasn’t even about Drake in that moment. It had a bigger message than Drake, Drake happened to be the catalyst in a fight bigger than both of them.
I'm new to this and could clearly see this ultimately hasn't about Drake but UNITY...i loved it❤❤
THANK YOU! It is not about Drake, it is about people who exploit Black American culture and hood culture that was the foundation of rap, who are not actually about that life, not only are they not about that life, they take from the culture while also turning around to shit on it. Drake is just a famous representation of that, but in reality the entire thing is about cultural exploitation and appropriation and everyone that participates in it. You got asain people who will dress hood, sing rap music, then turn around and hate on Black Americans, it is also true for Africans. It is a big problem, and uniting Black Americans to say they not like us - i.e. they not real deal, is a monumental push back.
In a world of drakes be a Kendrick. Keep the kids safe, call out abuse and stand by the right side of history. Truth will out lies

D.R.A.K.E = Don’t Rap Against Kendrick Ever
😮
This is so underrated omfg I gotta screen shot this 😮😮😮😮😮😮

Yo IF YOU THOUGHT OF THIS ORIGINALLY!!…make t shirts and sell them!!!…WONT COST U MUCH AT ALL!!!..I LIKE THAT
Yes!!! The best!!! 🖤♥️💚🌟 Juneteenth 🖤♥️💚🌟!!!
Kendrick ain’t take a sip of water that whole time LOL
Born and raised in Los Angeles it was very special all the togetherness kept smiling still smiling 💯💯👋🏾👋🏾🥰🥰
These rappers don't do anything in concerts except walk back and forth quoting lyrics we already know. I respect the Chris Browns, Omarions, even the Offsets now, etc. who give us a real show.
Wtf 😂
Bro is from Compton, he not bouta pop lock out there
She from Brooklyn but she took in every piece of that performance. As a Los Angeles native, it's rare to hear other places appreciate and understand how LA do things. Performance was lit! Definitely for the culture
Do you think the performance will warrant more peace and unity amongst LA Gangs?
I’m from Philly and this concert almost brought tears to my eyes lol. I’m so proud of yall, west coast stand up!!!! We right with yall, behind you…cuz this yall moment…but standing nonetheless!!!
@@24klogan86 I'm from LA it's not likely to last kind of like when we're all in the same game came out. But it's still a moment for the culture nonetheless
Grew up in Florida...I had tears in my eyes a couple times last night💯. What Kendrick did was absolutely beautiful for Culture as a whole🥰
@@24klogan86 we can only hope that this performance was a mold of what the foundation of unity could be in La . I hope they see the bigger picture.
Kendrick gone mess around and get a nobel peace prize
And mind you he got a pulitzer prize for to pimp a butterfly
@@universe-ie2mk For DAMN not TPAB
Bout to f around and get another Pulitzer 😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉
I have been saying this same exact thing as soon as all of the songs came out. Once “not like us” dropped, I stopped and looked at my husband and said “this man is going to get a Nobel peace prize for this whole line up.”
U need to actually be a Purveyor of peace
Kendrick performance was impressive af. No back track, breath control, clear pronunciation and didn’t take sip of water 😂🔥 especially them records w/ that kind of cadence is insane. Yall saying is whack just young af, because 99% of rappers don’t even have the breath control when comes to performing live.
Same thing I was thinking dude didn’t even take a sip of water. I drank a bottle water throughout his performance from all the excitement
@@junemoran4550😂😂
BIG FACTS! thought the same thing while watching the whole performance🎉
Finally someone gets it lol people been saying Drake is a better performer and I’m like do y’all not see this man just spitting bars clear as day ?? 😂 most artist need back tracks, choreography, auto tune etc
Why are newer rappers so bad at it? I have noticed this when I go to festivals, that the young rappers are bad performers. Other genres newbies do decently with breath control, and they are singing.
That first caller ateeee lol. Usually the people who call in are mad clueless and just be on here for clout
Went from a great caller to the 2nd caller who was mad stupid lmfao
@AndrewR21 😂 absolutely blew me away the night and day between 2 women on the EXACT same topic. Just simply WOW.

Not even being a hater of Drake either, I would've called Drake's constant posting after the fact as cowardly myself
It was a masterclass on how to put on a concert.
Honestly, that wasn’t even his best concert performance. Don’t get me wrong, it was good, fun, lit vibe. I’m just saying of his tours where he really puts a lot into his production, this was a great “pop out” performance.
He spent a little more money than the Mr. Morale concert... this time we got color and a few fireworks
Facts 💯💯💯
Watching DJ Akademiks hurting from wanting to defend Drake’s honor but unable to stop himself from vibing to Kendrick performing “Not Like Us” was a fantastic thing to see! 😂😂😂
Even if you never seen the show, that first caller gave an excellent synopsis of the whole thing. Bravo👏🏽

No ones gonna talk about how he spit 6:16 in LA flawlessly? Not an easy verse.
I hope that sample gets cleared omg
That showed me 6:16 in LA is his favorite. That’s the only new record he performed that he didn’t mess up on the lyrics lol
@@MarvelousJPhe never messed up on any lyrics. He purposely did that on that it was a mashup. Just like he changed some of the lyrics, he did a mashup of the song. You slow
@@dee27206 he changed some on purpose but he 100% messed up part of euphoria, that’s normal when you’re performing a song for the first time especially when it’s a 6 and a half min song
He had soul, his soul brother, stand there in the dark with him and he held him so he could hit every rhyme flawlessly. He probably wrote that shit just like that, him and soul in a dark room with that Al green sample on repeat.
The way y’all are describing Kendrick Lamar’s Juneteenth festival, bringing all of Cali & LA people together was great. I missed it. You made sound like that 1970s Watts Festival with an all black soul concert where all Blacks were together and there was no conflict. I want to see it now.

K Dot stans are so blind to realize Not Like Us his biggest song of all time is about Drake
Much respect to Dot for what he did yesterday. I’m Mexican from Cali born in the CPT and grew up in gang culture in northern CA. What Dot did yesterday with all the sets was incredible and so impactful. What he did for hip hop and the culture and dancing on Drakes grave was goated. The most important thing is he did it on Juneteenth was huge! Respect 💪🏽
He united the entire state and got gangs across LA to stop the violence to celebrate. He’s gonna be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize 😂

The point of him performing it 6 times plus the walk off was showing the Drake team trying to downplay this track it can’t be done. Over the last few days they tried to claim the song was blown up by paid streams with 30 million views. The money for 30 million made no sense. The LLC listed on the fake receipt doesn’t exist. The format of the receipt wasn’t right. No wonder the guy didn’t want AK to put it up on camera during the stream. AK is definitely compromised because any respectable interviewer would have asked him to explain further why not because the reason he gave make 0 sense
Also the fact the he paid 2.5k for 30mil views. 😂 ppl believe anything

That 504 person does not represent us, we love the fact he popped out and was REAL. New Orleans was going crazy. Literal fireworks were being shot off when this dude started performing in New Orleans East. Crazy work.
Most of the show was focused on promoting and unifying culture. Gave a huge platform to young artists…paid homage to many that came before him/helped him on his way…the “not like us” portion was simply the “dopamine dump” for all of us who have been on this rollercoaster since we first heard Like That and thought, “is this finally happening?” 5x may have been excessive (the crowd didn’t seem to feel that way) but this may be the first and last time he performs the track.
