      There was no professional wedding planner involved. They toured the house several times pretending to be interested in buying the property. Not sure why this man didn’t hire a realtor to weed out potential scammers. Most of the time you would need to show proof of funds before being shown a property like this one.

    This makes me wonder, if he let them in cause he wasn’t sure if there was a deal with the realtor for the wedding that he didn’t know about. That they would then claim the house as their rental property.?
    He would have to take them to court to get them out which could take months.
    I think what saved his home was, even though he is not living in the main house, he is still living in the property. If he lived somewhere else a care taker might have let them in without knowing. That’s why they showed up so early. Before business hours.

    • @henrylivingstone2971
      @henrylivingstone2971 2 года назад

      There are SOOOO many things wrong with your “assessment”. Business hours? It’s a private residence not a business, it doesn’t have established business hours.
      And the reason he was “saved” is because they’re trespassing not because he was still occupying the property. Also he didn’t “let them in” they were stopped at the gate when they tried bringing in wedding supplies. And no, there was no deal with the realtor, the realtor does not have that kind of authority.

    • @auntiem873
      @auntiem873 2 года назад

      @@henrylivingstone2971 - Realtors have been known to let people rent properties like this for extra cash.
      He may have had a deal like that with his realtor. Letting them in thinking there was a deal, he calls the realtor only to find out there was no deal.
      Had he not been on the property they would have been able to get more set up before being caught.
      He was overwhelmed by the number of people who did show up for the wedding.
      He stopped the guests but the set up people did make it onto the property.
      That was because he let them on. That’s when he called to find out why he had not been notified.
      After that he tried to get them to stop. They didn’t do while waiting for the cops he turned away the guests. The police did show up to clear everyone out.
      Had he just let them come, there is a good chance the wedding party would have tried to stay in the house, Becoming squatters.
      I say that because the guests claimed the groom owned the property. They said that because that is what they were told. According to the story.

    • @henrylivingstone2971
      @henrylivingstone2971 2 года назад

      @@auntiem873
      You’re making up a lot of details that aren’t presented in any retelling of the actual events of the story.
      You’re assuming that there is a realtor/homeowner rental agreement. But what is that based on? You’ve made that up and assumed it as fact.
      The “set up people” did not make it into the property. If you listen to the phone call and the following police report, Finkel says the groom and a few guests ready to set up were at the front gates and harassing them and police quickly came to disperse the situation and they quickly left. There were no charges and from that we know that there was no trespassing since trespassing is criminal.
      The party crew did not “make it onto the property” according to the news story and the police report, you made that up. You literally made up the part of the realtor renting the property and keep citing your claim on your own lie.
      Why lie? The story in itself is ridiculous, why inflate the situation?
