The war goes in a narrow strip on Donbas as in 2015! The Ukrainian army is very highly computerized and modern and brought the war to one point

I currently live in a city, but I'm a village guy. Living in a village is hard work, but it's honest work. I miss it very much. So I decided to "bring the village to me". I grow strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, topinambourg, and diverse herbs in my front yard. I plan on growing potatoes, carrots, tomatoes, and other vegetables in the back yard next year. I'm not doing it to feed my family. The space is too small for that. I'm doing it to remember "how" to do it and to teach my six years old son how it's done. For now, he loves eating the fruits, and he is beginning to understand that you have to care for the plants if you want to have a good harvest.

I have made my living growing organic vegetables in Ohio for 18 years and I must say I was very impressed by your grandma's vegetable garden. I am now in Serbia but next month I will be coming to Lviv to visit for a few weeks or maybe more.

Because of your country which pushed it into war with Russia.
They aren't defending themselves. Several other countries are defending them. Lets no forget the billions of dollars they have received with zero accountability of where the money went. This is a twisted conflict in which America and Ukraine are responsible.
It's not defending itself UK and US AND EU are arming them to the hilt . Respect to the 27 million Russians who died fighting nazis only to be presented with the same situation again

This reminds me so much of Western New York, where the land is often flat, with good farming soil. We're just finishing up strawberry season, and I've spent many hours picking them to make jam for the year!
Wonderful place, the plants, the flowers, the animals, and the people, how I wish to be in such a place...
What I see here, is very different from Danish agriculture, which is very industrialized, specialized and mechanized. Some Danes would probably say, that this is like going back to the 1930ties here. But this is exactly what Ukraine could benefit from after the war has ended - anti-stress, eco-farming holidays. There is a great potential here. Greetings from Denmark 🇩🇰🇺🇦

this is not comercial farming, comercial is also done all by machines in ukraine, this is just personal family garden, more like hobby, not even a necessity, in denmark there is not enough land for such activity to be available for most people, but in ukraine a lot people have dachas, summer houses out there in villages that are used for fun and hobby gardening

I really want to visit Ukraine after the Victory, and of course, I won't miss the Great Crimean Party that will last the all next Summer to bring us all together and celebrate but most of all I want to visit rural west Ukraine, close to Poland, I really love that off-grid vibe, like centuries ago feeling, no cars, no roads, basic friendly shops, and people, we've lost that feeling anymore where I come from, and if I get lucky I'd like to even stay somewhere there, a few solar panels and some modest modern comforts can make wonders for an old geezer like me, simplicity is all! that's what I say!... and I've seen a lot!

It's these videos of simple village life things that I like best. They remind me so much of when I was young, visiting my aunt's and uncle's and grandparents' farms and houses, on my mother's side. Both my father's and mother's side of the family were farmers but these images remind me of my mother's side. I suspect it might have something to do with the fact that they came from some part of Ukraine, long long ago, they say when the Tzar was persecuting them. Anyway.. These videos bring back childhood memories so strongly. I often think I would really love to go and buy some land somewhere like that and make my own house and gardens. I am American. I don't know if this is possible but, if it is, maybe when I get a bit older... or maybe when the war is over.

I enjoyed your video Taya. Village life looks so laid back and quite compared to big city life. I live in a huge city of over 1M people and you are surrounded constantly by buildings, noise, cars and the frenetic pace of life. Village life appears to be so peaceful and idyllic.

Dear Taya, It is so beautiful to see this rich nature on the Ukraine countryside. Often people outside the cities are very humble and very hospitable, always wanting to give you plenty of different classic food to eat. It's nice, you can recover a little from the noise of the air attacks. Ukraine and Russia have such nice places and friendly people, it is a shame that big politics waging war over all this nice friendly people.

Despite targeted bombings and life under semi occupation the Ukrainian people remain steadfast. Taya thanks for the great snapshot of village life under trying circumstances. I've heard that the soil in Ukraine is some of the most fertile in the world and after seeing those strawberries I believe it 😂 but perhaps like you said they are different variety.
