I have cucumbers and tomatoes coming on, my green beans are producing and my okra is up and doing well, we've had a few bug problems but not too bad. I'll be harvesting elephant garlic in the next week or so and my peppers are starting to produce.
I went vertical this year with 3 bent over hog panels as trellises. At the 6 bases of the hog panels I have cherry toms, yellow pear toms, purple pole beans, regular green pole beans, two vining squashes, and cucumbers. In the regular beds I have cabbages and one volunteer kale (some varmint got to em so they're looking pathetic), 6 kinds of peppers, strawberries, radishes, onions, garlic and a few sunflowers interspersed. In my native wildflower patch I added some white sagebrush/prairie sage and yarrow. In my "less than native" patch I added some grande wormwood. In the front yard flower box I have a ton of purple coneflower which I love but is a bit of a problem, as well as anise hyssop. Coral honeysuckle on my privacy trellis. Lemon balm, mint, chamomile, basil, thyme, rosemary, and lavender in pots for this season's herbs. I have several cold stratified pawpaw seeds lovingly potted up which I honestly don't expect to sprout, but maybe I'll see a miracle. I also have seeds germinating in trays for elderberry and virgin's bower. They ain't looking good right now. And the one plant that justifies it all to my wife: arugula
Loving it! Would you ever have a conversation on breeding for genotypes relating to distillation? Growing some Amanda Palmer & Astronomy Domine with 25 other varieties of heirloom corn. If the raccoons will leave them alone😅Stay well brother!
I absolutely love your garden, I's born in NZ on a dairy farm and the old man grew all our veges. Thanks for the memories Sir.
