- I have been getting a few comments lately about a certain app called RX Drone that I was not aware of, so i thought I would test it out to see if worked with my LYZRC L900 Model i reviewed at the start of this year when it was first released! LYZRC L900 GPS Drone here in 3 Colours

Hi Dave, hopefully this comment won’t get pulled as it seems every time I mention the bad service I have received from a company that provides these for review my comments get pulled. I can confirm these no longer work with the Hfun Pro app, the camera unit with the WiFi has been changed and only works with the RX Drone app, I have been trying to buy a camera that does but keep getting told it’s no longer available with Hfun pro app.
My experience with this drone using the RX Drone app has far less functionality and transmission distance so I am glad you have released this video as I would not want to see others getting disappointed like me.
Hi Mark, i have been seeing your other messages and trying to reply to each one of them but when I click on them on my video they all disappear, its not me deleting them but yes its unfortunate that this drone manufacturer has changed the hardware and software of the app for the inferior RX drone one, as you can see my early release of the L900 back in January when I reviewed it, still works fine with the 2 Hfun apps but will not connect to the WiFi fpv of the RX drone.
I just got a L900 pro se max, and the only app that will work on android 11 (or any version of android) is HF UFO, and then I screen record for smooth basically 30fps 1080p video. Rx Drone will connect but the video skips around and lags, and recording lags and crashes. HF UFO is the only app that will give smooth HD video, since the camera is pretty decent. HF Fly just won't connect. I'm gonna keep trying a few things because screen recording all the drone app buttons is kind of annoying ,it would be nice to have fullscreen smooth recording without any buttons blocking teh view.
What a shame but man at least this video helps to confirm for others that they aren’t going crazy. Good chance this will push them to fix it. HFun Fly and Pro are also used by the POILT drone.
Yeah I thought I’d make this video as there have been a few comments concerning why my initial review used HFun yet people buying these drones now are pushed towards the RX drone app which is said to be inferior as far as features and wifi range etc.
Am new to Drone and a real novice. I damaged the original propellers (2 left rear) that came with drone. Both propellers were labeled A1. There are no A1s that came with the spare kit. The spare kit contains A2s, B1 and B2s. If I may ask, are these propellers interchangeable? I used the 2 A2s from the spare kit after carefully examining if the broken A1s are similar to A2s from the spare kit. Your input is much appreciated. Thank you so much.
I went out yesterday and tested the HFly Pro and Fly apps with my L900 that I received 09/21. Neither app would connect to the drone. The Rx Drone app seems to work, but have problems with certain functions. In the Rx Drone app, I’m not able to load a map, so can’t use certain functions like Multi-point, AwayPoint and Circle. Granted, I’m a newby to the hobby and still learning. Can anyone offer guidance as how to load/use a map?
Hello thanks for sharing your experience with the hfun apps, looks like they have changed the WiFi module for sure then on the later models like yours. Sorry I do not know how to use the map on the RX drone app it seemed to not work on my L900 as seen in this video

@@PERTHWESTOZRC I got the L 900 And the DJI Mini SE on the same day ordered them differently from different places. Guess witch one took almost 6 weeks to get here...the L 900 that is had tobyethe second handing Amazon because of price 😅 🙃. Be blessed 🙌 my brother from down under. I learn a lot from your videos

Hi I am new here. I just got mine too. I have the newer version. I have flown in the house for a test. But one thing bothers me is that when i try to go forward it goes slowly. Is there a way to make it go faster.
i think you can turn GPS off and it will fly a bit faster in Altitude hold mode
Mine is going on one side and increase the force itself

No I haven't had to, my one always has calibrated perfectly every time

Hey if you were going to buy a cheap ISH drone with good 4k footage and will follow a car at low to mid speed or something like that what you get or would you get a lower spec DJI
Buy a dji mini mate, there's no such thing as a good cheapish 4K drone around say $200, there are some decent ones I've reviewed but they don't film in 4K

I want one to film burnouts and carshows but my budget is always the struggle with family stuff all the time hopefully soon I will pass a 1000 sub's and be able to put that money into better gear

No you cant unfortunately, the cmpany that makes these L900 drones must of changed the actual wifi fpv hardware and software it runs on to only except rx drone app for the past year or so, part of the reasons i made this video as i was getting countless questions about it in my initial review

I bought one and the electric gimbal doesn't work and it seems like loosing connection it turns off and can't turn on ...do you have any idea?
Just sounds like maybe you got a defective drone to be honest. I'd recommend contacting the seller you bought it from and show them the issue to try get a full refund or replacement

It's the GT Power X2 mini 2 channel charger, i made a review video on it a month ago
i have alot of video lag with the rxdrone app aswell sadly :( so much so, that i can't rely on fpv flying if i want to fly safe.
Yes the rx drone app has to be one of the worst out there, I have used it on other WiFi drones in the past. Terrible range as well before it freezes up
hey i actually got great news! i just did some more research and fixed the lag/freezes :D
All i did was turn off the accurate gps setting, in the google settings, which should improve gps, but somehow messes with the video feed.
Just to clarify: its still accurate, just not the added accuracy, which appearantly utilizes data, so is uselss anyways for a drone, cuz we use airplane mode, when using drones.
I use a xiaomi phone, and the setting was easy to find, but i would think, it might be in different places for different phones.
p.s. idk why this setting messes with the rxdrone app, because i am aware, that it doesn't ruin the feed, when using the other apps.
Sir, can i use the drone if my phopne only 4G coverage ( Samsung A12, no 5G) , why the dron fails to connect wifi, can the GPS functioning without Wifi, means that can i fly the drone outside and use GPS without phone/wifi connecting?
Any others app can be use if RX drone App fails, any alternative sir? I am newbie, need help

you must of bought the wrong version of the transmitter, I have seen a listing on aliexpress long ago of a version 1 and newer version 2 transmitter for these L900 drones

Yes these drones can only go to a limit of 600m total. No further

I have 2 of these drones the one that arrived on September 3 had the h fun pro. QR codes and the one that arrived this past friday has rx drone info sheet and QR codes. My friend has borrowed the original drone so i am not able to do the test that you have just shown here. One disappointing part of the newest drone is that it starts to act crazy during every flight so far. Although it is attached to GPS it will all of a sudden take off like someone else is controlling it or something. Today it did it again and when i though i had it back under control it just fell straight to the ground. Right in the roadway. Fortunately no vehicles were there at that moment or it would have become a drone that i used to have.. I am extremely irritated and frustrated by this malfunctioning. My orinal drone has only done anything like this one time and i had no control . i had to follow it through the neighborhood and eventually the battery got so lo that it fell from a bout 100 feet to a tree in someones back yard about 4 blocks from my house. But the new one does something wacky every time ive flown it. Do you have any idea what could be causing this to happen. Honestly i bought this model of drone to get away from this behavior and all of the reviews i saw were positive about this drone. It is my first GPS drone. And unfortunately i have 4 flyoffs under my belt up until niw and i was hoping to not have any more but i feel it is inevitable at this point. Thank you for some very informative reviews
Hi there, sorry to hear about your issues, that's really unfortunate. I really can't pin point why yours is acting up as such because to be honest I have had no issues with this one I have. I have had in the past some other cheap brushless GPS drones malfunction like you said and I put it down to interference of some kind. The jjrc x16 I reviewed in particular was doing some crazy toilet bowling and flying on its own and I had to fight it down with the controls to make it land safely numerous times. The second one was the eachine ex5 when I tried a distance test over a dried up lake and it fell out of the sky for no reason. @@PERTHWESTOZRC thank you for responding. I have thought about interference as well. The first one i bought i did a distance test in a rural area and it worked perfectly. I pushed it out to 1,100 meters almost its max and hit RTH and it very quickly came right back to me . in fact it was flawless in that part of town. I have only flown the new one in the city so i think a trip to the country is in order. Ive been thinking about trying the sg906 pro. Or i am considering biting the bullet cash wise and go DJI do you know much about the beast? I have owned at least 10 drones and i still encounter issue that make me scared to put much trust in drone. Probably could have had 2 mavic drones with all the money ive spent to be let down mostly. This drone does not take an sdcard for recording video, it only records via wifi to your phone gallery

How to connect this drone to cellphone?
Go into your wifi setting on your phone after you power up the drone and you should see a wifi frequency of the drone pop up then you can select it to connect to the drones wifi signal

Hope somebody have a solution to my problem, i bought a JJRC X28 the drone fly’s perfect but cant establish the video feed trough the Hfun Pro app on a iPhone 15 Pro max.
I feel i tried everything there is.
Any ideas ?
The HF UFO app gives smooth video but won't record, so just screen record the HF UFO feed. See my other comment.

Maybe your phone is too old and doesn't have 5G WiFi dual band compatibility

La app que va de maravilla es HF GPS, en mi L900 solo funciona RX Drone y HF GPS. Las que no me funcionan son precisamente la H Fun pro ni la Hfun.

RX Drone App...no zoom ( l900 should work with 50 i zoom)...Hfun have zoom but only in wifi mode...Rx drone app now is on beta version because work very sad...I have report my things that not work good...

try the Rx drone app outside. the HFun pro app will not work for mine but got the RX APP to work today tues 1st of march 22. but we have real bad weather in Ireland at the moment. had to buy 2nd hand iPhone to work it with coz my galaxy A12 hasn't the right WIFI. but it can take a minute or two for the screen to come on/the camera... so try that.. if it works pinn this comment
Mine is an early release L900 and only works with HFun, the later models work with RX drone app, they have changed the wifi module thanks for watching
