When I see hockey on TV with no volume it’s Bobs voice that does the play by play in my head.
ohhhh baby!
No matter how old I got. Anytime I'm fighting to stay awake and on the verge of falling asleep watching Hockey, it takes me back to being 6-9 years old just trying my hardest to make it to the first intermission to catch Coach's Corner. Sandman won more times than not.
I'm happy to know he created a everlasting memory for me.
I sold Bob a Tie years ago. As soon as he started talking I knew who i was talking with. What a Gem of a Human . RIP.
Bob Cole elevated every game he called. He was an artist and I thank him for so many decades of great memories.
Living down in Dallas in 1986 I installed the big satellite dish. Due to that fact for the next 30 plus years I was able to get HNIC. Needless to say Bob was a big part of my Saturday nights. RIP Bob you were simply the best.
Same here except in WV.
The voice that can take me back to my childhood in an instant, back to my basement playing floor hockey on a Saturday night, my dad making popcorn while the voice of Bob Cole echoed through the house. God love ya Bob, the greatest to ever call a hockey game.
As a Biggest Poor Hearted Senators fan, REST IN PEACE, still remember the 2007 call for the ottawa senators when Alfredsson's scored OT winner " Shot By The Hot Guy " my prayers for you're whole family and friends and relatives, and all the fans who witnessed the calls, you are men of the hour, thanks for the Alfredsson's Senators goal call, that was iconic and Memorable in Senators history of all time
Bob Cole and Harry Neal echoed throughout our living room growing up. So many great games and a voice that kept you on the seat of your pants. He was the Gordie Howe of broadcasters, Oh Baby what a dandy.
Growing up in a sh***y household, Bob Cole and Hockey Night in Canada brought comfort and safety. As I was getting older and moving on, any time Bob Cole called a game, that familiar voice always reinforced the love of hockey. An absolute legend, so glad I was around for the majority of his career! Much love Bob, rest easy and thank you so much for all the memories!
There have been many notable commentators, but Bob Cole will be the one who seemed to celebrate the amazing plays regardless of which team. Hard to find that today. Rest in Peace.
He was the reason I was Glued to Listen to his Voice for decades
-> since colour TV and Bobby Orr started in the NHL.
I was very young when He made me realize that it was better to listen to him to Feel like I'm right There, than to actually be there Live and miss out on his Play-by-Play, just wow!
I never wanted to go, no regrets...
Only my Sincere Thanks for creating my Joy to follow the games in the Sport that I loved.
I'm Content knowing that-> He knew-> How much we admired him for his Talent and Treasured him in our Hearts 💕
Simply a top tier play by play commentator and my personal favourite - He brought the excitement to every game. Thanks Bob!
RIP BOB BEST ANNOUNCER N VOICE IN NHL HISTORY MISS YOU

We say goodbye to the voice of hockey in Canada. Thank you Bob
Lonely as a kid i would watch cbc and adored Bob and Harry . Rest in peace Bob :)
I heard this voice of the NHL in the USSR when I was a little boy, and in Russia when I became a father myself. And right now my son is asking me, "who is this uncle?" and I say, "this is a great commentator who recently passed away, and this video is in memory of him." Hockey Night in Canada forever!
your son calls you uncle?
Rest in peace Bob Cole. You were the voice of my childhood on saturday nights. You will be greatly missed.
34 years ago Mario was the reason on the ice and Mr. Bob Cole the reason off it that I love this game. RIP. Mr .Cole..the Greatest!

Bob’s voice will live on forever and bring so many of us back to our youth when we hear it. What a legend. 🏒🥅🇨🇦
Thank you Mr Bob Cole Canada loves you🇨🇦🇨🇦
Bob Cole had nothing less than an iconic voice. He even had the power to make you watch/listen to a game with one or even two teams you couldn’t care less about. When his voice rose, you were hooked. That’s legendary. RIP.
Beautiful tribute to the best to ever do it…Rest in peace Bob Cole
Gretzky and countless others showed us how the game should be played, Bob Cole taught us how the game should sound. He was amazing! The GOAT!!
I grew up, listening to Bob Cole. I will never forget his voice.🥲

RIP He was always my favourite. He was the voice of hockey for my entire childhood. Luv that guy ❤
Beautiful. Legend. I never paid much attention to the name "Bob Cole" but he is the voice in my mind on every Saturday night.
Me too
There's something special about the men that on the radio brought us there, there at the ice. We can readily recite the players we loved. Men like Bob Cole brought them into our homes. We should always remember Bob Cole among them.
kings fan..we never saw 1 HNIC not 1 but we all know his voice love all the highlights of games with his voice & all of us here in LA grew up with hearing voice. for us Bob Miller is the goat but every clip with Cole is historic in our minds, interesting how life is.
God bless him, stand up gentlemen and the greatest commentator we will ever know... Rip my man.
I love to hear the disappointment in the broadcaster’s voice when Stars win! GO STARS!!
Great tribute to a good person. Thanks for the memories.
Forever missed. Best, in the business.
My favorite Cole call will forever be Borchevsky's Game 7 OT winner against Detroit...
The voice of my generation! This one hurts!
Beautifully done! Thank you for this superb clip.

My favourite voice for hockey!!!!
The voice of playoff hockey in my youth.
The voice of hockey. Thank you and rest easy, Mr. Cole.
Rip Bob Cole legend
FOREVER Bob Cole FOREVER Hockey Night in Canada
Simply the best...R.I.P.
We used to say , " it isn't a game if Bob Cole doesn't call it. " In his prime he was the best at what he did.
RIP Bob Cole.
"What an unbelievable turn of events!!"
"Look at Lemieux! Oh my heavens, what a goal!"
Well done. ❤
I’ll never forget what Mr. Cole said in the final seconds of Game 5 of the 1993 Stanley Cup Finals: “They were not supposed to be one of the favorites to make the Stanley Cup Final this year these (Montreal) Canadiens, but Ronald Corey got Serge Savard, he hired Jacques Demers…and all together they worked a young team to the top! And now a 24th Stanley Cup Banner will hang from the rafters of the famous Forum in Montreal! THE CANADIENS WIN THE STANLEY CUP!!!”
We lost BOB but we still have Bonsie ! Those are the voices of my teenage years. ❤️
Incredible tribute!
This goat was my childhood, thank you for everything GLG
As a fellow Newfoundlander hearing Bob Cole on HNIC always gave us a sense of pride, he had a style all his own. RIP Mr Cole
Thank you Bob! You truly were the nation’s most recognizable hockey voice! ☺️
They’re going home folks, they’re going home 1976/01/11 ..That’s the one thing I remember when I think of Bob Cole .
Bob and Jim Hughson r legends
RIP to a legend.
RIP. We'll miss you. 🏒🏒🏒
He will never be equaled. Godspeed, Bob Cole!
"Des jar din!"
Perfect!
The best there ever will be. RIP Legend. RIP.
Two words" "Ohhhhhhh, baby!"
This one hurts bad
How Bob Cole called a hockey game reminds me of Pat Summerall. Both had an old school way of calling the games they broadcasted. Nothing fancy, just straight and to the point unlike a lot of today’s announcers for the big four professional sports which are either vanilla or try way too hard.
Rest in peace Bob. You will be missed
he had a way of making the (he shoots he scores) sound so exciting, especially with my habs, but i understand thats just my opinion
Legend
He’s the Mike Emrick of Canadian nhl broadcasts
Greatest. Look at Lemieux! Oh Baby!
Desjardins!!!
Joooeee Sakic! That should surely do it!
It’s almost like Seinfeld. There’s a potential Seinfeld moment everyday in life if you look and the same as Bobby Cole! There is a potential great Cole like call with every hockey game played across Canada Day in and day out!
RIP GOAT
Ron MacLean is getting lots of TV time talking about BOB COLE....No One Will Miss RON the Back Stabber.
GOAT
The best there ever was and will ever be.
4:05
He'll be missed..
Greatest Hockey commentator. of all time. RIP !!
The goat
God, this makes me sad. This detroit kid loved you, Bob. Rest easy.
IMO he is hockeys Vin Scully, he will be missed deeply.
I grew up in Detroit, watching HNIC on Channel 9 in Windsor. He and Harry Neale were the Summerall and Madden of hockey. So glad I was able to listen to them, along with people like Vin Scully, Ernie Harwell, Verne Lundquist, etc.
@@Nhamp2000it must have been a beautiful era.
Life iz short be a good person Man up stairs iz watching
Is it dusty in here? Shut up- I am NOT crying.
