When I see hockey on TV with no volume it’s Bobs voice that does the play by play in my head.

No matter how old I got. Anytime I'm fighting to stay awake and on the verge of falling asleep watching Hockey, it takes me back to being 6-9 years old just trying my hardest to make it to the first intermission to catch Coach's Corner. Sandman won more times than not.
I'm happy to know he created a everlasting memory for me.

Growing up in a sh***y household, Bob Cole and Hockey Night in Canada brought comfort and safety. As I was getting older and moving on, any time Bob Cole called a game, that familiar voice always reinforced the love of hockey. An absolute legend, so glad I was around for the majority of his career! Much love Bob, rest easy and thank you so much for all the memories!

He was the reason I was Glued to Listen to his Voice for decades
-> since colour TV and Bobby Orr started in the NHL.
I was very young when He made me realize that it was better to listen to him to Feel like I'm right There, than to actually be there Live and miss out on his Play-by-Play, just wow!
I never wanted to go, no regrets...
Only my Sincere Thanks for creating my Joy to follow the games in the Sport that I loved.
I'm Content knowing that-> He knew-> How much we admired him for his Talent and Treasured him in our Hearts 💕

And now a 24th Stanley Cup Banner will hang from the rafters of the famous Forum in Montreal! THE CANADIENS WIN THE STANLEY CUP!!!”

How Bob Cole called a hockey game reminds me of Pat Summerall. Both had an old school way of calling the games they broadcasted. Nothing fancy, just straight and to the point unlike a lot of today’s announcers for the big four professional sports which are either vanilla or try way too hard.
