Tired of MLB content creators (95% of the undercover Yankees fans, because of “27” when 22 of those chips were before 1980 and they only won twice in the last 24 years ) thinking Soto is going to change anything is ridiculous they have been trotting out an All star team the last couple of seasons and won nothing (Rizzo,Judge,Stanton, carpenter, lemahiue, Torres,Donaldson, sticky stuff Cole,Chapman,Sanchez, etc) Soto literally came from a stacked San Diego team (machado, tatis,Soto, carpenter, darvish snell, hader, bogaerts, etc) and they almost finished in last place more than likely he will fail in NY and sign a giant contract somewhere else and all of a sudden be an all star again smh

lol real baseball people know the Yankees fleeced the Padres here. I don't care about the Padres financial problems right now, they got a very MID package back for a generational talent. King is 29 and if SD thinks he's a #3 starter I can't wait to see him on IR after the first month 🤣 Yankees fans know that Vasquez and Brito are the classic AAAA player, they look great in the minors but they will never be able to cut it at the MLB level. Vasquez has no out pitch + his command issues, Brito is a sinker baller that doesn't get a ton of ground balls. And Drew Thorpe is no sure thing purely based on his pitch mix. Yes he has a ++ changeup, but he also throws a straight 92-95 with decent (not great) command. Thats not a can't miss pitching prospect, its a cross your fingers and hope for the best.
Keep in mind the package SD gave up FOR Soto - CJ Abrams, James Wood, Robert Hassell, Mackenzie Gore, etc. The ROI is laughable from SD's part. They gave up their entire future (in prospects) for 1 season of Juan Soto + Mike King, Drew Thorpe... 🤣

Does anyone think aging former stars like Stanton, Rizzo and DJ are going to suddenly revert to prior form at their ages? One injury to the top three and this is a team that will be at the bottom of the AL in run production. Opposing teams will pitch around Judge and Soto and take their chances with the rest of the lineup.

Because saying he turned down 440 million makes it sound like he's automatically looking for way enough her that total. There's every reason to think he would be happy to make about 40 or so a year over 11. That's the exact total, but takes him 4 fewer years to get it. Personally, I would offer 10 years, 420 with opt outs after the 5th and 7th seasons.

Bro in New York soto will feel at home, cause thats the Dominicans capital of the USA, he will be seeing the dominican flag every home game. He will eat homemade dominican food from family members living there or in New Jersey or Connecticut. He's hell of a superstar so fans gonna love him. Juan Soto isn't going anywhere as much as you pray he does...

This could be like Stanton all over again. Speaking of Stanton, I think that there's a few simple things that he must do to improve on his hitting. First, have his eye-sight checked. Second, change his batting. I noticed that earlier in his career he would stand with his lead (left) foot facing more towards 3rd base. I have no idea how long he did this, but I did see some when they showed his highlights. Have either DJ or Gleyber leading off followed by either Judge batting or Soto. Do the left ,right or right left. Continue this down the batting order. BUT - I don't know the stats but some righties hit right handed pitching better than left handed pitching. The same goes with the other side. Just make the Batting order go left right/right left according to the stats. Maybe we can get a speedster to leas off. and a really good contact hitter batting second. Power 3-6.

All these clips of Soto showing him going yard ..none of them show the myriad of strikeouts w runners in scoring position ..and the number of times he blew the game for the Pads ..his numbers last year fail to tell the real story ..he only came on AFTER they were out of contention ..you can have him ..and Trent ‘I can’t hit my weight’ Grisham as well ..these two were directly responsible for the padres failing to make the playoffs last year ..
