Yeah me too same color too! Right now I have the RGXX and only fake8 I’m wondering why it can’t run native as it’s a Linux system too. I have to look into it more and the RGXX can do WiFi too on this one cfw but you have it use a dongle so it’s not ideal
Bro... I wanted to see MORE!!! Will definitely be checking out PICO-8. Gonna see what I've got on my R36S. These alone are worth the "price of admission "
Check out this spreadsheet. Its all PICO8 games ranked by popularity docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1oZ6miNxUSSxZNhOS1syp11Xi7O6CWh0pa0KXlcHtXPY/edit?usp=sharing
Witch Loves Bullets is a Cotton copycat. Cotton is a 90's game available for many systems, including Cotton Reboot on the Switch. Very cool version, even though simpler.
So when I was searching for polar panic to favorite it, I seen a game called a perfect snowflake. Not a game that’s gonna blow anyone’s mind, but the graphics and animation was awesome. If you like rogue kind of games picokaiju and guncho are my favorites.
duude, you should fix your background noises! I am in a hotel-room listening on headphone and I was going crazy thinking someone is trying to break in here!!1
Hi Javi, my brother! Love the videos. I would love to see you do a setup/tips video similar to your rg35xx plus video. I subscribed yesterday...love your stuff, man!
Yes sir, the RGB30. Russ at Retro Game Corps has one and it's very good. He also has a written guide. He has been my go-to dude, but your rg35xx Plus video was so easy for me to follow and so well done. Your tip on not using a fast charger from your 10 tips video...that saved my butt ( ruclips.net/video/A9M3-br29dQ/видео.html ) Thank you!
I played the crap out of witch craft TD on the Miyoo mini plus, the l2 button enables mouse mode. Onion OS finally has splore support, so I am finally getting my moneys worth since I bought it for ever ago.
I buy pico 8 license, put it on the root of pico8 roms directory, but cannot have splore. I buy a game kilikan, and not work with pico8, working only the free games... How you have enabled splore and play licensed game?
I can't help myself, but these 128x128 pixels just don't do it for me, it's only 71% the pixel count of a Gameboy. I'm a huge retro handheld fan and love many of the old Gameboy games, but still I don't get warm with the 128x128 pixels of Pico-8. Of course it's still very impressive what can be done with 128x128 and with this extremely small file sizes, but imagine what would've been possible with fewer limitations (at least 256x256, roughly the pixel count of a C64 and with higher file sizes). In my opinion it was the wrong decision to make the limitations so high. Compared to the Pico-8 games, even many Gameboy games are much more complex. The Pico-8 games are all extremely limited without any complexity. You play it for 1 minute and you have already seen everything the game has to offer in most cases (somehow reminds me of the old Atari 2600 days). So my personal opinion: No, Pico-8 is not way underrated. A lot of potential has been wasted here.
I love PICO 8 for what it is. Bite-size games like Tetris and Just One Boss really shine on this platform. However, I understand that the limitations put people off, and that's understandable. But this is only the beginning of Fantasy Consoles. There will be more and are more like TICO8 with fewer limitations that will be able to run bigger, more ambitious games.
@@emuemu8428 Something between 15 and 20, I guess. The ones recommended as the best Pico8 games. It's just my personal taste, for me the games are too simple with these limitations Pico8 has. Just personal preference.
That's the point of it. It harkens back to the days of simple games and trying to get the most out of limitations. Also to learn programming and all these games are editable to learn coding.
After seeing it could do pico 8 native I bought one right away ✨

@@slvclw pico 8 doesnt support all cpu's. So even if u have Linux, its not guaranteed. The RgB30 hardware can run pico 8
3:29 It is great to know that PICO-8 works with a 🕹️. ❤
PICO8 deserves so much more love
Just One Boss looks genius

@JaviPlayRetro amazing resource!! Thanks! I'm now in total agreement -- wayyy underrated!

Yeah a lot of PICO8 games are demakes or ports but that doesnt take away from how purely fun they are.

Thanks Ill check it out
Pico 8 is amazing value and worth the money.
Breakout Hero is a solid game : )

Thanks for the support. I do this for you guys. So you want a setup/tips for this handheld RGB30? I did notice the ones online are outdated.

@PortageeJoe Okay, I got you. The video is coming soon! Let me just pick up some extra sd cards, and I'll start working on the video.
Thanks, man! We appreciate you 😊
Hey brother! As promised here is your starter guide for the RGB30. Hope it delivers ruclips.net/video/TYAPXhL0Vqs/видео.html
How are peopel getting this one with the colored letters on the buttons?

How to save the game progress?
how do you set up the video preview? Doesnt work when I add it on, just box art

How you have enabled splore and play licensed game?
You can see in the video I showed splore. Also, I have Kilikan, but it is unfinished.

Not to be contentious, but that hot take makes me wonder how many pico8 games you have actually played.
@emuemu8428 Who are you speaking to?
@@JaviPlayRetro thunderbird. The other guy.

Never liked PICO8 looks like an old atari with more colors, boring and stupid.
Thanks for your input. I can understand it's definitely not for everyone.

Well dang! Much more interesting than i expected… 👏🏻 ❤
Thanks for this video. It's so relaxing to watch. And it made me pick up my r35s again to see what pico8 i have in my library
I like Pico8 games so much because they are so easy to pico8 them and play.
The birds with guns is the sushi official sushi monsters slashbacks game 😳
What buttons are those? Also you should turn off integer scaling so it fills up the whole screen
The newer rgb30s come with these buttons and thanks ill make sure to change it
It looks better with integer scaling! There's no odd scaling with some rows and columns thicker than others.
any idea how to save games on pico 8?
Cool. Just got started with this.
How to save game?
Great video! Some amazing games!!!
Once you save them to favorites, can you play them off line? I don't always have an internet connection.
Yes you can play them offline once you have played them once.
*TRUE* 🗣️🗣️💥💥🔥🔥
Can you do a tutorial about portmaster?
Yes of course. Portmarter has gotten soo good lately. Theres so many more games available on it.
